MD was there as part of the Union of Fans, the individuals involved in that were all invited to the Directors Box last night as a gesture of the new board's thanks for the UOF's efforts in pressurising the old board. Craig Houston, Monty, MD, and a few others were all there under that invite.
How about a gesture of thanks towards the thousands who have stood by the team and club through a horrible season? That's not been easy, and it deserves acknowledgement regardless of whether you believe boycotting was the way to go or not.
This isn't a jealousy point because I'd say no to a directors box seat if I ever somehow got offered, very happy in my Copland Front seat of 11 years. But I don't feel it's particularly respectful to 23000 plus people.

We need a couple of honoury board memeberships given out too, Bears that know the system, polotics, the law and the working of Scootish football. What's Hugh Dallas doing these day, Donald Findlay, David Longmuir?
Findlay's chairman of Cowdenbeath

The boycott will have been made so much more effective by the football, and many of those returning due to the euphoria of the regime change will drift away again. The atmosphere wasn't even improved.

Personally absolutely delighted that John Bennett has been appointed to the Board of Rangers.
Not fussed either way re Chris Graham.
Brahim if I were a former client of yours I'd be disconcerted to think that your concern for the welfare of their investments ceased when the commissions dried up.
For those of you not around at the time here's some links to the original John Bennett threads when we were in our darkest hours and need of serious investment......
Shall I get popcorn?

I might have my Rangers back when the conmen on the park are gone

I agree that every director will be judged on merit.
I agree that every director is a Rangers supporter.
I reckon any bear that calls a fellow bear a rat has issues in concise decision making, tantamount to stupidity and needs to evaluate where their loyalty begins and ends.
In all honesty, you've made a royal hunt of yourself over the last few years, and you're in no position to criticise bears.
I like how it becomes an attack on my character again yet Chris' seems to be unquestionable

If that's the measure then all they need to do is tell the truth. Or strike deals that benefits Rangers. Or act civil. Or act professional.
Sorry, but my measure is greater than proven liars.
So you agree with me then mate?

Well you would hope that the appointment of CG would ease that problem for any fan?,if not then he will be judged on his performance!.
That remains to be seen.
The new regime can't forever live off not being Ashley and co, they need to build up their own merit.

or in your case if you want to complain about Chris Graham
It's a general point, I tried to contact board members like Wallace and Easdale the last few years as well with issues but to no avail

That could prove to be more of a problem for Chris than me mate. :devil:Why? Because your views are recorded for all to see in the future? But no, I meant that if as King says the club will be more open to fans now then it should be easier to go to the club directly if you have a problem.

People are entitled to an opinion, but message boards probably aren't the most useful place to express those views.

Nobody asked me to vote on CG mateGetting fans involved is what we have all requested for years, now we have that we can continue our road to recovery, despite the petty personal attacks/nonsense from some fans0 -
Now, now - he'll be crushed it isn't his beloved Chuckles back, play nice
Get some original material mate

I'll maintain a dignified silence on this

In response to Rangers' announcement, Easdale's spokesman Jack Irvine issued a statement through Press Association Sport which read: "We are surprised at the announcement as you cannot suspend a director under the law of Scotland.
"We also note that they talk about an investigation. Sandy Easdale welcomes that as he has absolutely nothing to fear."

I understand that one of his primary tasks was negotiating player's contracts.
CEO does that don't they? And he'll have dealt with the technicalities

If it's true about his wife getting punted then they were hardly doing him any special favours either.Agreed. He will have been involved with a lot but not the controversial stuff. He will have been trying to keep his stuff running as smoothly as possible. It will be very useful to have someone on board who can explain past details and who understands what goes on at both the football level and with other organisations (SFA, SPFL, UEFA).
I don't see any downsides to keeping him on board.
I'm uncomfortable with us having too much involvement from David Murray's latter era but again I'll assume he didn't have much involvement in that side of things, and if he's good at his job then we may as well keep him

The idea of someone getting our costs down and not letting sentiment get in the way is appealing, but Llambias treated the support with contempt and didn't seem to care about wasting money other ways.
He wasn't the man for it at all

I would be very against keeping on anyone from the old regime.
He might sit in the directors box but he's not a director and never has been I don't think, so he'll hardly have had any influence on everything that's gone on

and to think people wanted to get back to talking about the football.
To think some thought a change of board would give our football side a lift.
Our coaches and players are still the same clowns they were a week ago.

Llambias' pathetic attempts to win over the fans made him untenable regardless of whatever talents he may hold

I would happily watch the turgid dross served up by Ally from now until the end of the season if he could secure 2nd place for us
Only for him to fuck up the play-offs?

I'm all for patience & realism.
I think it's realistic to expect the new regime to remove Sandy Easdale from the Club board immediately.
There should be no compromise on that for numerous reasons including his continued use of Jack Irvine after the club had announced it had severed all ties with Toxic Jack and his company.
Patience will wear thin quickly if Sandy Easdale remains involved in any official capacity at Ibrox.
Kenny McDowall should fall under a similar category albeit for different reasons obviously.
If they don't want to make their long term managerial appointment for a while then fine but they absolutely must remove McDowall right away and bring in an interim for us to have any chance of salvaging this season.

I'd say it's simply people having the instinct of being cautious and sceptical after the last few years, definitely not unreasonable.Look forward to reading it.Nobody's happy with the performances or results. Nobody's happy with the quality with the players in the squad. But how in god's name can anyone expect these to be sorted over a weekend when the new board are still trying to ascertain the full horror of the state the club's been left in.
Maybe it's just me: in the run-up to the Green takeover, I honestly thought we were looking at starting over with an FC Rangers, groundsharing with Queens Park or some such. If King and T3B hadn't acted, I could only see us carrying on as a pale shadow of our old club, with no support, a flogged off training ground and a rented stadium. Now, I can actually see a future for us. Given our near death experience, a wee bit of patience doesn't seem unreasonable.
I'd add that if folk are getting jumpy now, how are they going to cope when they realise that an emphasis on youth doesn't mean winning everything with a team barely old enough to shave. It means patience, set-backs, defeats and disappointing seasons. Are we grown up enough to cope?
