Such big news it isn't even published on time.
Mark Daly is a fraud.

The bids were knocked back because they weren't good enough, fairly simple.

I hope to never hear the name 'Blue Knights' again once all this is over.

Duff and Phelps will be Rangers legends if a CVA goes through, will have been worth every penny.

Bigging this up, christ.
I can guarantee it will be nothing.

He'd have to communicate with them since he'd decided to go into administration.
Big wow.

debt is debt. the repayments are just smaller and over a longer period.
Not much of a problem there. If HMRC were willing to do a smaller and long term repayment plan for the Big Tax Case it probably wouldn't be so much of a worry. But it would seem they want their money now.

I haven't made up my mind really about green. part of me wants him to fail as his plan is not at all what is best for rangers but I can of course see that that could be counter productive.
fortunately he will either succed or fail under his own volition so I can decide once he does.
one thing is clear already though the consortium we got is very different to the one d&p initially then later green led us to believe we were getting.
20 investors
no debt
20 million quid
premiership experience
former manager
big names
gers backgrounds.
all smoke and mirrors imho. a piss poor start from someone who claimed the least we would get is honesty.
How good his start is will be decided by the CVA issue, all this stuff is just persnickety.

What do you expect ? Again, serious question.
They dont really CARE about Rangers, they just want to make money. I dont see that as being too big an issue so long as the club is protected, competitive and financially sound.
Very rarely (some would say sadly) do you see people purchase a football club and not expect to see a return on their money (rich Arab Sheiks & Oil oligarchs aside, whereby plunking a billion down is pocket change for them to have a play thing).
IF we survive, remain competitive and are fiscally sound then I dont have an issue with them getting their money back. They could just as easily have said that this was a non-repayable loan but then taken out exorbitant salaries to still get their money back. This is at least transparent (yes, I know, it is little different to Whyte - but lets not tar everyone with that same "conning bastard" brush just yet).
I don't see how to be honest, Whyte used money from Ticketus therefore putting us in debt to yet another company.
Being in debt to the owners and investors is hardly going to cripple us.

Have you got a link to that.....or are you backstage with GA?
Listen to his first public words.
I remember, but again, 'debt free' never means that literally no money is owed, Celtic have been called debt free for a while but of course they still owe money.
Being in debt to the people that own you isn't really a concern.

....and blind faith leads to administration and possible liquidation.....
Administration has happened, and liquidation will soon follow if Green doesn't see it through.

It SHOULD be a cheaper repayment plan... we dont have the 18 mill Lloyds bank debt around our neck anymore. Cheers Craigyboy, wonder job you did there....
I have reservations about Green, as we ALL should. But that doesnt mean I will make my mind up on him without knowing what his plan really is.
I did the same with Whyte - wanted us out from SDM's claws but still had reservations over Whyte - any Bear who doesnt have suspicion over a new owner has been living in a different world this last year or two.
What can we do about Green ? Next to nothing (boycott season books and merchandising ? That would hurt the club as much as Green). But we should still stay cynical. It would be remiss of us not to.
The trouble is when cynicism turns into hate and conclusions.

Some get alarm bells ringing in their heads when stories change and plans for a debt-free Rangers include being bought with borrowed money.
He was referring to not having unsustainable debt and millions owed to the taxman, it doesn't literally mean debt free as that wouldn't really be possible.
The money being a loan is just a way of making the consortium money, again what else is to be expected from people with no connections to the club? A loan from the consortium isn't going to put us into administration again.

Each to their own.
Trust had to be earned and until Green has earned that trust I'll carry on being sceptical just the same as I did with the previous custodian.
There is a middle ground to be had, maybe you have it.
But some sound like they've made their mind up already.

Ignore him mate, he is a joke. He got banned from RM for peedling his pish. He ruins every thread he enters on here and FF.
Even if he beleives the rubbish he is talking, any normal person would not type the same stuff over and over again in every thread.
As i said he is a joke best ignored but it's a shame how he is ruining thread after thread.
He's not the only one in fairness.
I appreciate the Whyte experience means we shouldn't treat anyone like a messiah until they've really proven themselves, but I don't see why it means we have to assume the absolute worst either.

"Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me"
That phrase is more pertinent if you're dealing with the same person.
Green is not Whyte, and has never had any connection with Whyte whatever speculated.

Worth remembering as well staying would have suited players in terms of actually playing football as well, Wylde never managed to get clearance for Bolton.

Really ? So you think guys like Rhys McCabe, Hemmings, Perry, Cole wouldnt have felt the pinch ?
Not every player makes mega-bucks.
Were players basically on youth contracts/wages really involved in the pay cuts?
0 -
If these players were all so desperate to stay at Rangers, they wouldn't have insisted on these clauses being added to their contracts. Let's not get all dewy-eyed about this when their first love is cash.
Think I can agree with you for once casey.
The cock sucking like praise for the wage cuts is something i've never got in to, yes it was a good gesture and I appreciate it but there's no way any of them will have had to adjust their lifestyles with the money they already had and are still earning.

Isnt that just a newco, not full blown liquidation.
To gunslinger anything that isn't a CVA is liquidation, Rangers dead etc.
I don't feel that way myself.
0 -
we will only be liquidated if greens bullshiting about his cash.
What is HMRC and/or ticketus reject the CVA?
0 -
The more I see of D&P, Green etc, the more I believe we're headed for liquidation. Green does not instil any confidence in me, whatsoever. Quick buck springs to mind here. Too many similarities with Whyte.
Craig Whyte does not mean we always have to think and assume the very worst in people, i'm getting a bit tired of it.

It was in reply to your assertion about things not being able to get worse. Patently not true.
Well I don't see how it can right now, we've got big debt that could be increased greatly by a tax tribunal and face a great and very realistic risk of money running out anytime, even if we sold a load of players.
I don't see how Charles Green could do anymore damage, just my opinion.

Green has a binding contract to buy us CVA or not, makes sense.

Shows nothing other than Whyte being over optimistic about administration, which I remember anyway. He said he wanted to exit admin by March payday.
