  1. and you want us to give our money to a group of directors which includes a guy who was convicted of fraud involving stolen computer parts and his co-accused? He served time. All King got done for was not giving the SA Tax Authorities all the information they thought they were entitled to.

Look, if we dont buy season tickets the club wont have any money and we'll be well and truly fucked.

If you're prepared to starve your club of money and risk losing it because you dont like some directors that is your call but if I did that and we went into admin again or worse I wouldnt be able to live with myself.

  2. How about you read your previous posts on the same subject and you will find the answer - lots of times I imagine. What is it you don't get when I say stop asking the same fucking question over and over, yet your response is to ask the question again???

    Nobody's actually answered me though

  3. King still had his issues with the SA tax authorities at the time of the IPO, so he couldn't buy shares. Anyway if he had the cash would have been wasted along with the rest of the £22 million.

Ahh that's right this is the man who was at the centre of a huge tax evasion case in which he had to pay close to £50m!

So what do we just starve the club of all money?

  4. FFS - You and RAB have been told a million times on here. How many fricking times before it sinks in????? King has told everyone himself - LOTS of times :brick:

    Fancy telling me again?

There was an opportunity for King to buy shares but he didn't now he's calling the shots telling me not to give the club money? Nah, doesn't work like that.

  5. Is it not the case that the Easdales had someone create a very smooth path for them to acquire the shares they have? Is it not the case that King is asking for an equally smooth path for him to acquire shares (in a new flotation) that would make the Easdales' investment look paltry? Is it a level playing field we are discussing?

There was a share issue where ANYBODY could buy shares. King chose not to, end of.

It was a level playing field.

  6. I can't believe any Rangers fan is behind the current board?, especially when you have the likes of Dave King who IS a Rangers fan releasing a statement like that?.

Before I make my point I'd like to make it clear that I'm not pro the board nor am I anti the board, I'm also not pro Dave King but I'm not anti Dave King either.

Maybe it's because the current board stepped up and actually bought shares where as King stood back and did nowt?

  7. Advocating not giving the club season ticket money? I'm no financial expert but if a company is struggling financially starving it of large amounts of money doesn't seem like a good idea to me.

    Almost as if he's scaremongering...

  8. Football can be a bitch, right? Never seen this before, have we? (Didn't we blew much of the points advantage after financial troubles were on the horizon and we sold Jelavic?) Of course, one can blame a manager for the results and tactics (he's a sitting duck after all), but at the end of the day, our highly paid stars (not exactly tactically missplaced) failed to deliver big time in Europe back then.

Anyhow, how many managers have you (all) seen throughout your life as a football supporter (England & Scotland) who had the same struggles on and off the field throughout his managerial career? Leeds'? Coventry's? Hearts'? How have they coped?

We were 15 points ahead in October or November, they went top before January, admin wasn't til February. The players need to take their share of the blame but at the end of the day it's up to the manager to get them performing.

His job is to manage the team and he should be judged on that and not off field issues. He's had arguably the easiest 2 years any Rangers manager in history has had and he still doesn't have us playing to an acceptable standard.

    He is clueless.

  9. We were successful in the top league for half a season even with Craig Whyte at the helm. I know Ally is no managerial genius but he has shown no evidence that he is worse than any feasible alternative, while working under a huge handicap since he started.

    Just c&c 'manager'.

Half a season in which we got knocked out of three cups. We then blew a huge lead in the league.

'Supporter' implies that you need to back McCoist to be a real supporter.

  10. No matter what you think of the game, we're well clear at the top of the league, in a final and a quarter final of the cups. That suggest some level of success. You may not like the league we're in or the Ramsden Cup but the fact that we're there is nothing to do with the manager. You might cite the loss in the League Cup but that would be ignoring the fact that the 'manager' could not pick many of his choice of players, and dwelling on that would also suggest a season is not successful unless every trophy entered is won - which kind of says we were never a successful side and likely never will be.

I think the correct wording is "you will never see us as a successful team with Ally in charge". I'd bet you didn't see us as a successful side under Walter either.

The sooner some of our 'supporters' actually start to 'support' us the better.

Ok, we'll never be successful at the top level with him in charge.

Walter won 3IAR, got us to a European final and won 3 consecutive doubles, of course I thought that was success.

'supporters' care to expend on that?
