  1. We were punished by the authorities for CW's non payment of tax but let's not forget the confusion at that time. Many people (maybe even most fans of other clubs and including many of our own) did not distinguish between CW and EBT's. I remember likening it to the confusion when we invaded Iraq in many people's eyes to get Bin Laden!! Yes, perhaps we did deserve punished for CW's actions, although I thought it was knee jerk and premature. We did not deserve all the other shit that was thrown our way. As far as I can see there is no revisionism coming from those who hounded us, nor is there ever likely to be.
  2. From the money they have stolen from us plus future fines.
  3. Not the SPL or their version of it, but there will be reconstruction. This boycott is a shot across the bows.
  4. Thanks for the post Zappa. I also voted undecided because I don't go to away games. I agree that our present situation is unsustainable in the medium to long term and don't believe for a minute that CG has any intention of doing that. I am, however, delighted at this boycott as a message to all that we are together and stand together against attacks on our club. Until the message gets through to them all that they behaved abominably and the persecution stops I am in no mood for reconciliation.
  5. Especially since the Kangaroo Court has still to come in January. Move on. Aye right!!!!
  6. Getting a result will not excuse their conduct.
  7. I think it is especially important that we still proceed with attempts to get answers to our questions over their handling of our case. Who chose us as this test case and why? The stakes are very high for HMRC and will be even higher if they lose this appeal. Regardless of the outcome of this case they have a lot to answer for. The FTT has given us the confidence to put our heads above the parapet and we should maintain our self respect and dignity and not lose it again over this appeal. Onwards and upwards.
  8. Maybe Burley has a point about reconstruction but he can go to hell if he thinks the bitterness will go away because he says it should and prior to the SPL investigation.
  9. You look so young!!!! I feel so old.
  10. It will take more than a simple denial to persuade me that there is and was no bias in BBC Scotland. For a public corporation it behaved very badly. The lack of quality in the Sports department is embarrassing but that's what you get when you get cronyism in an institution that should be looking inward and weeding out the dross.
  11. Another dreadfully biased anti Rangers article. Tried to get into it to comment but it is not showing in the link. Who is the author?
  12. The questions are very prescriptive and I found myself making up answers to move on. Did complete it but one of the most boring and useless Friday nights I have spent in some time.
  13. I find it astonishing that this very stupid man is a lecturer. I despair at the quality of some of the people in education these days. Since when was law taught in a polytechnic?
  14. I agree it was in relation to the EBT but CW's run up debt to the taxman was still less than Ticketus so with an estimate debt of £1 plus CW's debt, Ticketus are still the biggest creditors and in favour of CVA.
  15. Does anyone have the e mail address of his boss? Thought I saw it on the site recently.
  16. I think we are all guessing here. My problem is that I never really "got" HMRC's reasons for turning down the CVA and this issue is only one of the questions that I would like answers to. If the expert was correct, then Ticketus would have had the final say, regardless of what HMRC thought of it. The way things turned out that would have been better for everyone concerned, creditors and Rangers alike.
  17. I've just been in it again through google search. May be a cached copy.
  18. I agree with you FS. I do not want us getting into bed with the SPL and hope that the brand is no more. In the past I would have seen the best interests of Rangers served by being in the top league but too much has happened to make me want to sell out to the devil to achieve that. Having said that, I will reserve judgement as always on CG's remarks until I have more info.
  19. Perhaps a compromise view from John DC Gow will be nearer the mark. http://es.pn/TjLSfk
  20. It looks like he was waiting for the verdict first. Would he not have had a strong case that all of the leaked evidence that was in the public domain was prejudicial to the outcome and appealed the verdict? Either way he was going to court over this. This is something that HMRC must be aware of.
  21. Maybe he is exasperated trying to persuade the others to drop the EBT investigation .....
  22. I really wish Andy would come back too. He is a real loss to this site.
