  1. Well we do need a CEO prepared to to confront our many enemies. We don't need diplomacy because that won't work with the Liewells, Petries, Thompsons etc. Walter's a diplomat IMO so chairman may suit him but not sure what it will achieve for us.
  2. Can't say I'm overly excited about Walter's appointment. I'm not sure he's what we need. He's first & foremost a football manager not someone you'd identify as being boardroom material. We need someone who'll fight the club's corner against it's many enemies some of which were actively trying to put it out of business altogether last summer. That person needs to have contacts in the business world to raise investment. We had such a person but he's gone now unfortunately
  3. It wasn't their money to keep was it ? it either belonged to oldco or newco
  4. What I don't understand is how the SPL(or the SFA) got to keep this money. It either belonged to the oldco(for creditors) or to newco. Certainly not the SPL(or the SFA).
  5. Surely someone will now instigate legal action against the SPL now this BDO document has been seen. This is extortion in all but name.
  6. when can we expect to hear something?
  7. It's time for Longmuir to earn his money if these SFL1 clubs do break away. He must do everything in his power to renegotiate the SKY deal to get the SFL a bigger share if Rangers are in the SFL. Rangers must not subsidise the SPL. Rangers SKY money must all stay in the SFL. Let the SPL negotiate their own deal.
  8. you might even want to ask the last time a certain Mr Desmond paid tax back home in Ireland. Bet that's not been widely reported anywhere.
  9. If the SFL1 clubs break away & join the SPL then Longmuir must demand that the SFL get a much bigger share of the SKY money
  10. After debts reached £80m the share issue which was underwritten by SDM reduced that debt to £6m bythe time PLG arrived. That's often forgotten. It was after KAUNUS that the debts started rising again by which time Lloyds had taken over HBOS
  11. Because there's only one show in town. They all know it but won't admit it.
  12. Dermot Desmond has a business history no one wants to question. So why do these guys getting questioned?
  13. they always forget to mention that after O'Neil left in 2005, Ra Sellik were £30m in debt. Looks like they couldn't afford the players they had during O'Neil's era.
  14. Now is the time for Longmuir to show how good he is at his job. With Rangers in the SFL subsidising the SPL via the SKY deal, he has to get the SFL a much bigger share of that deal due to these SFL1 rebels. It will mean serious hardship for some SPL clubs as they'd get less money(and hopefully the SFL1 breakaway rebels too).
  15. Mark Daly proved wrong yet again. Surely he'll need to hand back that BAFTA now won't he ?
  16. Do you think SDM willingly sold out to Whyte ? I've never bought that one. Just ask yourself who was in charge of LBG at the time of Whyte's takeover & where their allegiances lay? Whyte's business history wasn't difficult to find out about. Certainly AJ seemed to have done just that.
  17. This investigation is being overseen by Roy Martin QC. Love to see the SFA try & get someone to challenge him if they don't like its findings. Who would they get ? Fat McKenzie? don't make me laugh
  18. whyte was a kamikaze businessman who should never have got near Rangers in the first place. SDM was blackmailed into selling to him. Virtually no one would touch Rangers because of the potential EBT tax bill. Whyte got the club(by deceiving ticketus into funding the takeover) but was depending on 2 things:- 1) CL money for 2011/12 2) an early BTC verdict after which he'd either sell the club or liquidate blaming SDM if the outcome wasn't favourable. He got neither and hadn't the funds to run the club so he put it into administration hoping to get it back after administration and sell it making money for himself. That wasn't possible as D&P found out the accounts were all over the place and PAYE/NI hadn't been paid. HMRC blocked the CVA leading to newco being formed of which Whyte wasn't part of. This investigation will prove that.
  19. If Hertz are in an insolvency situation, can someone explain to me why there's no talk of them being thrown out the SPL and having to apply to the SFL for membership ? have the rules changed since last summer ?
  20. I'm still surprised some Rangers supporters questioned the need for this investigation. Had it not been done then you could almost guarantee Regan 's SFA would have launched their own investigation & sent the bill to Rangers. It doesn't bear thinking about who they would have appointed onto their investigating panel. Fat MacKenzie for one maybe?
  21. You forgot questions regarding Craig Whyte i.e. 1) at what point was the SFA aware of Whyte's business history? 2) at what point were the SFA informed Whyte wasn't paying over PAYE/NI deductions? In response to q1 do not believe the SFA were unaware of Whyte's background. I believe Regan said he didn't know of Whyte's business history until Daly's documentary which I don't believe. In response to q2 I believe our JT informed the SFA about 4 or 5 months before administration PAYE/NI wasn't being paid. Did the SFA know & what action was taken ?
  22. Regan is liewell's puppet at the SFA. Doncaster is Liewell's puppet at the SPL. That's how Scottish football is run these days
