  1. What about the Stirling Albion players forearm smash on McKay two weeks ago ? was nothing done about that ?
  2. Whyte is nothing more than a Walter Mitty type character with an appalling business record. We need to know just how he got Rangers in the first place. Was SDM blackmailed into selling to him by the 2 bhoys at LBG at that time? And at what point did Regan's SFA discover he wasn't paying PAYE/NI over to HMRC ? and why did Regan's SFA do nothing ? and,of course, why did our chums at HMRC allow him to go months without paying over the PAYE/NI ? If only we had proper investigative journalists in this country............
  3. Two areas which will almost definitely come under scrutiny regards restructuring are the Scouting network(or lack of it) & the youth system at Murray Park. It would be foolhardy in my opinion for anyone to suggest these 2 areas have performed at an acceptable level for a number of years now. There simply has to be vast improvement in both in future. That will almost certainly mean personnel changes. Remember too that when CG & his consortium took over no one was forced out immediately. Almost everyone got their same jobs in the newco presumably on the same terms. Now nearly one year on it's maybe time to take stock of the business and make changes where it is deemed necessary with a view to improving the business. This goes on in companies all over. Rangers are no different in that respect. As supporters we have to hope these changes are for the better and we should support them where they are having the desired effect
  4. Restructuring needs to take place throughout the club(call it job cuts if you like). Too many people have had it too easy for too long getting easy money. We need a club with higher performance targets for everyone employed within Rangers. Those who can't meet those targets should be replaced where necessary. As for Sandaza I'm afraid he didn't exactly look committed to Rangers as per his phonecall hoax. His sum total of 2 goals this season bears testimony to that.
  5. As I see it the SPL may face cash demands from at least three sources:- 1) Rangers prize money from last season. Whether payable to oldco or newco it is rumoured to be around £1.7m. Has it been paid ? 2) This Harper McLeod bill for the EBT investigation £500,000 3) The legal action supposedly being brought by Harry Hood's Lisini for £1.7m from last week. Is this why CG has allegedly accused the SPL of being 'technically insolvent'. I'm no accountant but I don't think the SPL has a prayer of paying these plus whatever else it might owe
  6. I read somewhere he's wanting something like 10 players for next season. Would you risk letting him bring in an amount like that?
  7. another disappointing aspect over the past few months is the sudden loss of form by the young players such as McKay, Crawford, Aird etc.
  8. Regards holding the aces, CG must demand to see the SKY contract from last summer which Liewell & Dumbcaster don't seem to want anyone to see. Why is that ? does it contain clauses & sub-clauses about Rangers ? It'll be interesting to see exactly how much SKY & ESPN pay out at the end of the season. For example, will the amount be linked to the viewing figures throughout the season ?
  9. what makes the writer so sure Ally McCoist will still be Rangers manager beyond this summer as per his last paragraph?
  10. Much as it pains me to say it we need a change of manager for next season. I think it's far too big a risk to allow him to bring in players & they turn out to be flops like last summer. I genuinely believe a better manager would have got more out of the current squad. I don't think the likes of Black, Shiels, Sandaza, Cribari etc have suddenly become average or poor players. They should have been decent signings who could easily have coped with SFL3 ? Why haven't they? With a registration embargo looming last summer it was imperative to sign players before it started. We lost an entire MF and signed just one midfielder - Black. That was asking for trouble. Surely the manager should have seen that. Same at CB Whatever CG decides he must get this one correct. The performances of the past few months cannot be repeated next season.
  11. Although you must be prepared to accept the consequences for that action if it impacts on others
  12. well then CG must do all he can to sabotage the SKY deal. See how they like that...............
  13. Is this Andrew Smith formerly of the Celtic View?
  14. I'd go for a foreign manager (say Paolo Sergio or Dan Petrescu) with scottish coaches. I'd prefer a foreign boss who'd scrutinise the way everything is currently done & introduce much-needed improvements throughout. Let's start with first team training(or lack of it)
  15. Their plan now looks so obvious now doesn't it ? when Liewell & dumbcaster agreed the contract with SKY last summer SKY said Rangers had to be back in the SPL next season. The only way they can do this & honour their promise to SKY (and to all the SFL clubs who were promised extra money) is to create SPL2 and have Rangers 'FAST-TRACKED' into it after winning SFL3 - PROVIDED RANGERS AGREE TO THAT OF COURSE............ Otherwise this whole thing collapses. SKY will pay peanuts or nothing at all. Others sponsors likewise. Is there a replacement sponsor for CB by the way? Rangers hold all the aces now. The only way we agree to SPL2 is under a whole raft of conditions i.e. Dumbcaster, Regan, Lunny etc must go for starters
  16. It seems blatantly obvious that this reconstruction is somehow linked to the SKY contract Liewell & Dumbcaster were involved in last summer. This contract which they seem reluctant to show Longmuir & others who are also keen to see it as they may well believe there are all sorts of clauses & sub-clauses in it which are linked to Rangers. The Falkirk chairman & his chums would be better off concentrating their efforts questioning Dumbcaster on where their extra money is coming from and whether it is linked to the SKY contract only Liewell & Dumbcaster seem to have seen
  17. Great to win it at last but hopefully over the next few weeks we'll get a better idea of where we're going regards a number of issues. CG now needs to come out and clarify more than a few things
  18. where's he going then ? who'll give him the same or better terms than in his 4 year deal he got last summer ? a poor signing whom we're stuck with unfortunately.
  19. Only issue I have with Jon Daly is how we'd play him. Surely not for CB. Up front he tends to have striker playing off him i.e. goodwillie or Russell at Dundee Utd. I'd hope we'd do something similar & wouldn't use him(if he signs) as a lone striker and simply punt high balls to him because he's 6'3".
  20. I'd say there's a very good chance of that happening. They need us for the money. That being the case then CG would hold all the aces..........now that would be interesting
  21. They cannot afford not to have us in their top division next season otherwise the big financial contributors such as SKY and whoever replaces the CB (if they can get anyone) will either reduce these contributions or walk away altogether
  22. I think he'd be a decent signing but get the impression he'd rather go down south to the championship or whatever.
  23. Traynor has ammunition to unleash on the SFA regards the Whyte fiasco. Better to have him on our side so as to use this when the time is right. Since Traynor joined us it's been noticeable Rhegan & Dumbcaster have both kept a significantly lower profile.
