  1. What is the point of the article? That Rangers fans should be aghast that our players were paid handsomely through a legal tax avoidance scheme?

    Admiral---Admiral---Admiral!!
  3. Is the ePartition about the 2014 Independence referendum?
  4. I never said otherwise, people can moan all they want but if they're not happy paying it then don't. Life has always been about money whether you agree with it or not. And football has always been about money, of course it has and has been since the day they realised that they could make mega-money from it.
  5. Everything is and always has been about money. But to reiterate, to go to the football this season is cheaper than it has been for years. If you don't like to pay £XX for a ticket then don't.
  6. If you can't afford it, don't pay it, it's really quite simple. And these guys will all be paying less than they were last season and probably made a saving on their season books too, so if anything, football is more affordable this season than it has been for years, so I guess that they are just moaning for the sake of it. No one if forcing anyone to pay over the odds for tickets, if you're unhappy about the price then you don't pay it.
  7. So they are maximising their revenue streams after years/decades of crowds of less than 1,000. If Rangers fans are unhappy at paying £XX, then don't pay it. No one is forcing anyone to buy the tickets.
  8. Bob Malcolm! Blast from the past there. If we can get Murphy, I'd go for it. Always thought he was a decent SPL player.
  9. Yes, that's life, Allan. Money makes the world go round.
  10. I agree, so what if they charge extra, if you're not happy about it, then don't go. We live in a Capitalist society, it's everyone right to make money.
  11. Hopefully the latter. It just doesn't make sense to pursue a liquidated Company and its a further misuse of public money. On the same day that its annonced that an accountancy firm used by HMRC pays only 3.5% Corporation Tax, they're wanting to pursue a perceived 'debt' that they will never realise on the basis that they can then go after other companies who employed the same tax avoidance scheme which was legal at the time. Perhaps they should spend their time and money closing all these loopholes and simplifying the taxation system instead of an aggressive witch-hunt which there can be no winners now.
  12. According to today's Sunday Times. A "source" from HMRC, who didn't want to be identified, tells ST reporter Craig MacAskill. Looks like this is going to rumble for some time yet.
  13. The main benefactors of the alleged £50m bonanza will be BDO.
  14. Pointless waste of taxpayers money to appeal a case against a company that is in liquidation.
  15. There is nothing 'morally' wrong with minimising your liabilities to the revenue. It's a no-brainer. Everyone wants to pay as little as possible, no one wants to pay more than they're due. The only reasonable outcome through this, the Starbucks/Amazon debacles is that the taxation system in the UK is too complicated and has too many 'loophholes' and needs an overhaul. I mean, how much did the EBT case cost? Neil Patey said the other night that it's been going on for 9 years?!!!
  16. Fuck the company, let it go. What's done is done, and as far as I'm concerned, what's the point in trying to save it? We've shed a shit load of debt and are now "debt-free" according to Charlie.
  17. Both he and Murray are the reason that the Company was liquidated. As soon as Murray sold to the Shyster, who's business plan was akin to a game of Russian Roulette, we were fucked.
  18. As soon as Murray sold the company behind the club to the Shyster, we were fucked.
  19. The reason for it being delayed is because the SPL lawyer was in a bad accident, according to Jim Delahunt on Clyde 1.
  20. You should've heard Delahunt and Walker on Snyde 1 tonight. Desperate for the SPL to find us guilty. Expect huge pressure to be exerted onto the panel investigating the "side letter" issue to find us guilty and to strip titles.
  21. He looks like he's having a rer old time
