  1. Always wonder why certain fans use terms like "diehards" "uberfans" "'player-x' lover" etc etc in a negative light.

Is it perhaps because they fear their own arguments don't simply hold enough water by themselves so they have to try and tarnish opposing views with some sort of lack of impartiality or emotional attachment before the counter point is even made.

In any case make the perpetrator of such arguments look weak in debate.

I use the term 'die hards' tongue in cheek because really I'm meaning people like you and Calscot who talk a lot of shite and can't see the glaringly obvious.

  2. We never had a generic Charles Green thread when all the debate was about him. :whistling:

A specific thread for McCoist means that the die hards can avoid it and keep their head in the sand,

The ironic thing here is that regardless of our off field problems, our on field problems could be just as problematic. Football is dictated on the pitch and our entire club has no strategy about how it should be conducted.

  3. oh i could have trust me , you slaughter McCoist in isolation , you use arguements that seem only to apply to rangers when it suits , we are in a situation unprecedented in our history and possibly the worst is yet to come ,yet all you and your fellow McCoist haters do is come on and slaughter the manager .

He may or may not be a good manager only time will tell but that time IMHO is not now.

You don't have to wait for time to tell you anything, I'll happily tell you the guy is a shite manager. I'm no McCoist 'hater', I just deal in facts and unlike all you uber fans, I'm not afraid of the truth.

As for the times we face, that's a horrific excuse. He's got players on 10k plus a week and lacks the ingenuity to beat Annan Athletic.

  4. So let me get this straight we are now looking to see how bad we can be and still get out the lowest Div in the land, give me f##king strength.

Ignore him mate. I have yet to see a single post of his that I agree with. You would think he was employed by the club to type nonsensical promotional hyperbole.

Give him his credit though, he's certainly consistent.

And when you start working out equations in the 3rd division you are either a troll or a grade A fucking moron.

  5. So using your arguement , Man utd should have sacked Ferguson after his second season , when they were absolute dross and getting tanked by everyone , instead they stuck by him .

now i am not stating that McCoist is equal to ferguson but I do believe that he should be given time

Ferguson won a European trophy with an SPL team which isn't far off a miracle. You couldn't have picked a worse comparison if you tried.

McCoist hasn't ever shown any signs of being a decent manager. It's not like he's a spring chicken either, he's almost 50 and he's been coaching at the club for years

  6. Extra time or neutral grounds aren't going to help us in the league though are they?

Drawing three away's is the equivalent of losing two for everyone you win, if we'd lost two out of our opening three away's the 'Chopometer' would be back on the back pages but hey a last minute equaliser against the mighty Peterhead and an incredibly incompetent refereeing decision in our favour denied Berwick Rangers their deserved three points, had we lost today against the international powerhouse known as Annan Athletic we'd have had little reason to grumble.

People need to take off the blue tinted glasses when it comes to McCoist, legend of a player sure, bluenose absof*&kinglutely, media darling of course but he doesn't show the slightest symptom of being a football manager.

I wish people would stop mentioning him being a legend as a player. I personally couldn't give two fucks if our manager was previously the captain of ROI, so long as we played football the correct way

  7. I actually disagree that the difference in standard is so big, and these players are playing for their lives. We will get used to that eventually and start winning. Messi like football I am afraid is light years away but that has been the fact for years.

And out comes the 'Messi/Barca/Brazil' flippant remark, deflecting the fact that most rugby teams would probably be ashamed to play as we go

  8. There goes your believability in one go. Go to jail and do not pass GO.:)

What's wrong with what he said?

The SPL is one of the worst leagues in the world, possibly on a par with the Conference.

And we're 3 divisions below that.

PS - If we were playing anything resembling proper football and there was some sort of long term plan in place I wouldn't really be that bothered about the results. But it's typical Rangers, short term goals with no idea what tomorrow brings

  9. He's not a manager but he's a club legend. He should be given the benefit of the doubt for a while longer yet. The players will take a while to get used to how Div 3 teams play. We're undefeated so far. ?

He's 'not a manager' but should be given the benefit of the doubt? :disgusted:

This is like John Greig being on the board, jobs for the boys even though the skills are clearly not there.

  10. up and down in Europe certainly. not many managers win trophys in Europe.

Up and down? We have been a train wreck in Europe for most of my living memory. A team of internationals got gubbed by Gotenburg under Smith, and another set got dumped out by Viktoria Zizkov under Eck. This is the sort of thing that has repeatedly happened. A team of players on tiny wages give us a lesson in Europe. Of course McCoist succeeded in failing to win 4 qualifying matches against shite European opposition, but he is such a terrible manager that it's barely worth talking about

  11. Of course, but end of the day he was still doing the bread and butter job set to him.

Ally is having us struggle in a part time league, I don't believe Walter for all his faults would have had as poor a start to the season as this.

Walter's brand of football was good enough to win the SPL 9 times out of 10 but it's hardly a long term philosophy.

  12. eck played good football as did Walter in large spells. both also understood how to play on the break.

this is a bit different. mostly because both eck and Walter could get the very best out of players.

McLeish is an unemployed loser that signed about 50 shite players that got paid off. He only played good football in the first 18 months when he had Advocaats team
