  1. of course we will but that's not good enough.

the sooner we appoint a manager that improves players. gets the best out of players and plays attractive football the better.

if allys not capable of that he should walk.

It's beyond attractive football though. We don't play anything resembling basic football and this hasn't really been the case since 02/03.

  2. On Rangers forums I am frequently derided for my belief that football should be played a certain way. Apparently the only thing that matters is results. The only problem with that is in the long term you'll end up with egg on your face.

It's a bit rich though that certain people are getting on Ally's back while they were happy to cheer the shite football Walter had us playing.

This has been a long time coming.

  3. Jesus Jig gets 20k +? That's a whole lot, for some reason thought it would be about half of that.

He will have been on not far off that or possibly even more. No pay cut has been negotiated because we would have heard him boasting to the papers about it.

  4. We as a club and the British game as a whole have major coaching issues that go beyond just giving youth a chance.

If you look at someone like Chris Burke, he initially looked like a star when he first started getting a chance. But the coaches seemed unable to maintain this form and he drifted into an also ran. He got plenty chances in the team but looked mediocre more often that not.

Then later in his career at the championship (probably far superior coaching) he finally showed his true talent.

UK football is stuck in the dark ages...

  5. For where we are now he certainly is.

Remember the traitors and how Wallace has stuck by us, for that he's a legend already in my eyes.

I thought he stayed here for family reasons? Plus he'll be on more money than he would likely get elsewhere. Whilst it's great that certain players stuck with us, it was possibly financially in their best interests to do so. No other club would offer McCulloch £20k plus a week for example. More like a tenth of that

  6. He already had a contract till 2016, only a one year extension, so doubt it's based on making sure we don't lose him for nothing.

I imagine it's more a pay rise as a thank you for staying.

Surely to hell it's not a pay rise. He will already be on 12-15k + I'd imagine.

Nobody should be getting above £7k a week unless they're a world beater, until we return to our former level.

Even £7k is paying way, way above everyone else and it's that sort of pay structure that led us into this position.

  7. You wonder though why no-one else of our thousands of shareholders and club representatives do not make a case of this like him, or at least ask the releveant questions. Nigh all of them either keep their mouths shut or ran amok on the various message boards, where their input will yield next to nothing. If people come up denominating hims a *see DA's comment above*, why don't they just follow suit and try to make it better? No disrespect to anyone, but I you wonder about the guts involved ...

What's he done positive so far? Has he achieved anything? Creating trouble and controversy isn't necessarily a good thing.

It's not about him being gutsy, he just likes to get involved in crazy situations like this and to cause trouble.

  8. Do you actually love to antagonize people? *rhethorical question*

No, it annoys me how gullible and ignorant a lot of bears are. Club almost destroyed by two evil nut jobs and already lapping up the involvement of another 1. This one should be easy because unlike Murray and Whyte he actually has previous for ruining a football club.

Dodgy shyster crooks like GDS should be told to not go within a million miles of our club. If we get caught out three times then we have little left to argue about.

  9. And what involvement did he have in their prior development ? I suspect very little.

He may have given them their debuts but the problem with Scottish football is deep-rooted. We keep hearing about how we should get these acclaimed managers - but what we need is a long-term approach rather than a quick fix. That is my point.

He played them and that's what counts, who knows what involvement he had prior to that? Probably a pretty substantial involvement.

Redknapp as the number 1 would be the most long term decision they ever made because he would get the team playing attacking, progressive football for the first time in 20-30 years.

But as I said earlier, we have just as much chance getting Guardiola or Mourinho as we offer diddy money and have a squad full of them too.

  10. Spreading the wealth is a terrible idea. Scotland can either have 2 good teams or none. Without a strong old firm, the Scottish league just becomes another Irish league.

The big teams in other leagues are helped by getting a massive percentage of the wealth. The rest of Scotland have already been getting far too much of the pie.
