  1. It still is. We have a far higher wage bill than many European sides who consistently out perform us. McCulloch on near £20k a week is physically sickening.
  2. So true He probably won't even play 4 at the back. He's clueless. He reminds me of McLeish in many ways. Where all that was missing from the shambles was putting the goalkeeper in attack just to see what happened. Sorry let me correct that, putting the goalkeeper in defence just to see what happened.
  3. It's a shame TBK (the Trolling Boy Kings) never got the club. What with their glorious offer of payments partially based on reaching the champions league quarter final. They may as well have based that part of their bid on us winning the international world cup because we had the same chance...nada
  4. We (Chelsea) made a huge gaff with him. He was only proven in the Portugese league and Europa Cup, neither of which count for anything. God only knows what Spurs thought they were getting because he's looked dreadful when tested at a higher level. Signing managers and players who look like world beaters at a lower level can be a huge risk
  5. Could be the biggest in the UK. We are the people
  6. I find it somewhat disheartening that Little is 24 next year yet is only now getting his chance. He obviously is a decent player but has just been poorly used. We seem afraid to give 17-21 year olds any real chance. It's the same with Jordan MacMillan, he's 24 in a couple of months and half his career has basically been wasted. We could do with him just now. The top players in the continent all tend to get their chances young and it helps them develop massively...would Messi and co be the same players if they sat on the bench until they were 23?
  7. I would sooner see McCulloch get a 10 year contract than see us playing 3 at the back
  8. I just don't think it's right to base our attack around an ancient player who has never been a prolific scorer. We need to be looking long term and I would like to see us looking at a modern type approach like a 4-2-3-1 with Little on his own in attack and the likes of Templeton, Shiels and McKay behind him. We should be using these seasons in low leagues to build a team and philosophy.
  9. McCulloch is the Jerome Rothen of the left midfield area, the Egil Ostenstad of strikers and the Boab Malcolm of holding players.
  10. I have better things to do than argue about something clear as day. And for the record he has hit double figures once in the league in his career, as I stipulated. The sun is shining and there's cider to be drunk, see you later......
  11. I was pished and happy. It WILL lead it less long balls though, as it did with Aluko.
  12. We should be able to win division 2 and 3 with our women's team
  13. He played wide left for at least a season and turned into a holding player later on. I'm only talking about his goal record because some people think he's some sort of top striker now. He's a plodder that got to a far higher level than he should have. I don't think he's particularly good at anything, even heading. How many headers has he actually scored for us? He never seems a danger at set pieces. Plus when he played wide left, we played the most atrocious football ever. Long diagonals to him every game
  14. Last I checked McCulloch has scored 14 goals for us in the league and he's now in his 6th season.
  15. A terrible central midfielder, a left midfielder who contributes nothing and a striker with a horrific goal record. That's big Lee.
  16. Give it to Ian Black or someone else decent that will be a part of our regeneration.
  17. A lot of them rarely played and/or were of no use. Even the likes of Davis is no major loss as he had about 5 good games a season
  18. How do you know no one else was interested? Also, remember Aluko. Bar his performance against Bayern, he looked pretty shite for the most part at Aberdeen. Sometimes decent players need to play with better players to show their true worth.
  19. Templeton's worth 5 also rans that would have ended up getting paid off. Given our scouting talents (ahem) it's good to get quality in rather than quantity.
  20. I think we have a team that can win at least one of the main cups so long as we don't have to play at Parkhead. The only reason I mentioned Parkhead is because we don't even bother turning up there. Aside from Naismith, Jelavic, Aluko and McGregor I'm not that bothered about the players we lost and we have replaced Aluko with a better player in Templeton (based on their general performance in the SPL in recent seasons)
  21. Aside from the odd player at McKay, under 18 players are a no go area for us. We tend to wait till players are well into their 20's before giving them a proper shot, for some odd reason
