  1. With Templeton in our side the long ball will die. I might be putting Messi-esque ambition on the lad but fuck me, if he forces the end of long ball then I will be happy.....

Let's face it, the only thing that ever stopped Smith deploying shite football throughout 9iar was the individual brilliance of LAudrup, Gazza and co.......

  2. If Ally can't get this squad winning and promoted easily now then he should not be Rangers manager, so yes you're right in some ways, today just emphasises my feelings.

His resources should have been enough anyway but you could point to our squad lacking some real quality flair, that has been rectified greatly by this signing.

Ally has been given ridiculous resources to win the next 3 divisions in style

  3. It tells you all I think about McCulloch and co when I picture Templeton and just hope he disregards everything he's told by such people.....

Less chuggers, hammer throwers and jobs for the boys, more passing and moving, skills, technique, flair.

    Joga bonito....zzzzz

  4. Wouldn't go that far mate...does a job, could be down to management tho'....just my take on it.

Sorry for being a bit crass there but but I'm a bit sick of the McCulloch love in. He's a terrible footballer. Just because he looked a bit better when moved into attack last season, people seem to think he's potentially some sort of quality striker. Correct me if I'm wrong but the guy's only hit double figures in the league once in his entire career, and this is someone who has spent most of his time in the lower leagues.

He is absolutely woeful and was synonymous with the horrific football we played when he was at the left midfield

    and in the central midfield

    and in defence

  5. Yes, I did suggest it, but not in a serious sense at all. I said it as a deliberately rediculous concept to strengthen my actual point, which is that I don't think Ally will be very happy (secretly) with the transfer dealings. He's openly spoken on numerous occasions recently about the need to bring in a good few more players and it hasn't happened.

99% of our signings in the past 10 years have been shite. We just signed the one of the best young players in British football who could easily play in the premiership. Cheer up.

  6. Do I detect some positivity from you DA ? :D

I really like Templeton as a player, was at Ibrox last season when he ripped Whittaker a new one - a very exciting talent. I for one am hoping that we see this 4-2-3-1 with the "3" being Templeton, McKay and Shiels or Little.

But, even if we dont see THAT formation - having Teempleton, McKay, Shiels and even Little in the team/squad shows we do actually have some flair players around and, if we keep the ball on the deck, will bode well for this season and beyond.

    This is an unreal signing.

I don't give a shit that we might have had 6 players because this is a premiership level player and this will force us to play football on the deck. I swear this guy could be the new Laudrup.......and this is coming from someone who grew up as a young un going to games seeing Laudrup being marked by 5 men,

I've probably not been this excited since we signed Arteta

PS - before anyone goes nuts about the LAudrup mention, I'm referring to the level we find us in (which isn't a mile off the riff raff in the SPL)

  7. Just been reading a rumour that the Hearts player McGowan turned down an absolutely massive increase in his wages (x5) when he refused to sign for us tonight. I really can't help wondering why on earth he was asked to go to Auchenhowie (and actually WENT) for talks if he didn't want to sign.

I might be pished but I watch pretty much every single league on the planet and I'm struggling to recall who exactly McGowan is? I couldn't give a flying fuck about this no mark. We have signed David Cooper Templeton, the best Scottish player in years, who would have been a stunning player in any position.

I might be seen as a negative bastard on here but this signing has me absolutely delighted. We have replace Aluko with a far better player

  8. If we don't have a replacement for Boca from the youth then Sinclair needs sacked. (I hear a hurr durr from the right honourable Gunslinger there)

Boca did say on SSN that what he liked about this deal is he gets to play for us in 12 months.

I'm pished and listening to Nofx and I'm imagining a Rangers side next year that is either deyfing the tarrier scum in a year or possibly playing in a new setup.

What is dead may never die (game of thrones/a song of ice fire fans) will get this, we shall reign supreme and chase the inferior tarrier scum away

We are the people and we will always be there for our team.

Lads, we have just signed the best player in Scottish football. Templeton is far better than Aluko.

  9. The SSN editors and/or managerial staff have been infested in recent times because their constant slant on our club over the past few months has appeared to be very anti-Rangers. They were really going to town with the "new Rangers" and "new club" patter.

Aside from the English football love in I've never had much issue with SKY tbh
