  1. The evidence will take months if this goes to trial.
  2. "...... Rangers six-goal rout of Dumbarton kept their foot on Hibs throat in the race for the Championship" Someone got paid for writing that.
  3. One of our most devout followers was a communist internationalist atheist. Didn't stop him wearing the colours.
  4. Too busy working, running businesses, operating in the real world - that sort of thing. Politics is for idle folk and they're mostly idle because they have no talent other than the ability to bray like donkeys.
  5. No spectators 'Gers v Gunners? I suspect this is a photo of an earlier lights test game v reserves. Lifted from "The Rangers Collection" site: "Rangers v Arsenal Friendly 8.12.1953 1-2 Attendance 80,000 Rangers Goalscorer McCulloch. The Rangers Team Brown, Young, Little, McColl, Stanners, Cox, Waddell, Grierson, W Simpson, Thornton, McCulloch" Good full-back, Johnny Little.
  6. You're right, boabie. Ronnie could play. Post Woodburn/Young I don't think we've had a better centre half though I'm eternally grateful to Willie Telfer.
  7. Maybe MW says one thing to the press but something else to his players.
  8. Better than Super and Hateley, Compo? I think they possibly were. Ralph Brand was the best technician of the four of them. Not much to choose between Millar and Hateley. Millar slightly better in the air despite being inches shorter so it's a dose of the good old M&B for me. Graham and Pettigrew was an effective combo. I'd forgotten about them.
  9. We used to have a conveyor belt of wingers, Compo - Waddell, Scott, Henderson, Hubbard, Wilson, Johnston even Neil McCann, though we had to buy him. The belt seems to have jammed..
  10. No he wasn't. Kich competed with Maxie Murray but Old Mother was unrivalled.
  11. As well as a penalty ace, he was a cracking winger - speed, trickery and a belter of a cross. Didn't head the ball much. The photo must be from ten + years ago when he was in his seventies and he still looks as if he could dazzle down the touchline.
  12. Goal average in those days. The ga for that match was 5.
  13. She won't hear the appeal on her own. There will be two others. Carloway and Drummond Young are possibles as is the third chap in the Tax Appeal whose name I've forgotten.
  14. Isn't the prize scarf the natty number that Johnstones created for CG? Mine is the classy 1959 reefer. Sure it's old but it is beautiful.
  15. Thanks for that, ns. I enjoy a good joke. The teams are maybe not far apart but otherwise, the most I can give you is that AS is not quite as bad as some of us had hoped. Swansea don't seem to rate him.
  16. It should be. The modern football fan prefers parties and the telly to the game. Shocking.
