I wonder what Tiger Shaw would have said if he'd been asked to have a wee talk with a psycho.

"No draws in 9 games so far. That cant last....Everton have to draw tonight." Well spotted, Gribz.

The Pre-Summer-2017 transfer rumours and hearsay all inclusive Thread
Scott7 replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Bus parking is not new. Only the terminology is different. In the bygone days of yore teams usually came to Ibrox to defend. That was a doctrine introduced to Scottish football by the managers of Kilmarnock and Dunfermline after a trip to Milan to study Inter's methods. So, against Rangers and to an extent against celtic, those teams played eight or nine defenders instead of the conventional five and as the text book of journalism says, hoped to "nick one on the break". Dunfermline won the cup. Kilmarnock won the league. Other clubs followed the example. The difference between then and now is that the eight defenders had to defend against constant pressure and it was knife edge stuff. Watching, you felt a goal had to come. Against recent Rangers sides all a defence has to do is keep their ranks closed up. The pressure is not intense. Watching, you feel a goal will never come in a month of Sundays. The two managers were of course Willie Waddell and Jock Stein. -
Birmingham and 'arry are just not a fit.

Why do the barely articulate insist on yapping so much? -
I wish no well to Aberdeen but this euro licence is nonsense. Pittodrie staged a big cup game against Bayern. No problem then, why now?

Pulis? Bruce is well over rated as a manager.

Davy Heart of a Lion Wilson. The best all round winger? Alec Scott was faster. Wullie had more tricks, Johnston too. Cooper a greater genius but over all, left wing, right wing, centre forward and emergency left back, Davy's the man. A Scots Tom Finney.

Waggy got two, Joey got booked. Wolves win away to demoted Hull. Villa lose again.

When was lennon ever pregnant? But seriously, he is admired by many because they would like to be like him. Cheating, fighting, swearing, they've all got it in them but can't bring themselves to do it hence adulation for somebody who does. Cooponthewing, the psychology guy, will tell me if I'm reading right.

Flair baiting is the practice of laying lumps of cheese on the flair to lead rodents to a trap. Flair bating on the other hand, I'm not familiar with.

Wolves level at the top with Cardiff.

Arsenal 1-0 Leicester Watford 0-3 Liverpool Chelsea 4-0 Clarets Palace 3-0 Town Everton 1-1 Stoke Southampton 2-0 Swans West Brom 1-2 Bournemouth Brighton 0-5 Man City Magpies 1-3 'Spurs United 3-0 Hammers I like a bit of early season exhuberance. I forgot about Everton yesterday. Who will score their goals? Sixth place for them ahead of 'Spurs behind United, Chelsea, City, Arsenal, 'Pool. And going down: Huddersfield, Swansea and (sensation!) the Baggies. Hope I'm wrong in that one. The teams I would personally relegate are Brighton, Watford and Palace with apologies to their fans for my arrogance these are not proper teams. Bring up Wolves, Wednesday and Villa and give the League a proper look to it. Folk readng this under the age of sixty will reckon I'm a raving lunatic. Who's to say they're wrong? Sunday Newcastle 1-2 Tottenham Man Utd 0-0 West Ham

Can't disagree with most of that except the bit about West Brom. Throstles are always watchable but I fear they've over achieved the last couple of seasons and may be spiralling down. 'Spurs had their best chance last year. Shame they couldn't quite manage it. Four or five years before they will challenge again. Arsenal could be fourth. City need some professional defenders. 'Pool will flatter to deceive - yet again. Don't write off Chelsea but it is with the utmost regret that I make the following announcement. United will win it - aaaarrrrgh!

"Pilfering" - strange word to use.

The castle in Embra is no big architectural deal but the New Town is. Not much better than Glasgow's best but a little bit. I would never call Glasgow beautiful. Impressive, yes and in its commercial heyday a more vibrant place than Edinburgh any day of the week.
