  1. Excellent summary. Tried to improve it but couldn't. 'Spurs must wish there were still three more games.
  2. Yes, but it's not been tried for a few years.
  3. A gloomy season will be brightened considerably by the relegation of the Caley.
  4. People put in big money by way of season ticket and other investment and turn up at Ibrox for the kick-off. So far so good. Fifteen minutes in and Rangers three goals up. Too easy. May as well get off to the pub. Fifteen minutes in and Rangers haven't scored. Ach, you Miller/Waghorn/Manager/King gtf etc. for twenty minutes then sullen silence until Rangers score in the seventieth minute. Weurrapeepul, follow follow for five minutes then follow follow the exit signs. We start well but like some of our strikers we cannae finish.
  5. The Follow Follow is being yapped at too high a pitch and far too fast in the same way as English fans murder their versions of the Billy Boys.
  6. I can't see anythng in him yet but it's far too soon to judge. There does seem to be a big effort by our enemies to undermine him which makes me think he's maybe got something that worries them. Of course bbc would like one of their pet cronies to get the job - Billy Brown, Jeffreys, Houston, Hughes.
  7. It looks as though Wednesday have peaked. Lesson for them, Sunderland and Villa: history and potential are to no avail in the absence of organisation and investment. They should look at Southampton and follow their example.
  8. End of season fever has set in so here we go. Gunners 5-0 Toffees Clarets 2-0 Hammers Chelsea 4-0Sunderland Hull 0-4 Hotspurs Leicester 0-2 Bournemouth Liverpool 0-1Middlesbrough Man Utd 3-0 Crystal Palace Southampton 2-0 Stoke Swansea 2-1 Baggies Watford 0-4 Man City And the CL door slams in the scousers' faces. WBA continue their slide which will take them down to the Championship at the end of next season and who knows where thereafter. Pity, because I like the Albion.
  9. BD is right . A bigger Board will get more work done efficiently. BD is wrong. Bigger Board, more factions. This is Rangers, remember.
  10. Wednesday out on penalties. Hope Huddersfield beat Reading but I don't think they will.
  11. Had to happen some time and no real damage done.. Would have preferred to have deferred it for another season, though.
  12. Good point about the Wembley move and then they'll take a couple of seasons to settle at the new Lane. I admire the play of 'Arry Kane but he's not Sanchez, Aguero or Costa and I don't think he ever will be.
  13. Arsenal 2-0 S'land City 2-1 Throstles So'ton 0- United 2 Leicester 1- 'Spurs 2
  14. Great stuff, BH but in our present state I'd take Stonewall Jackson as manager with possibly Jeb Stuart as assistant.
  15. Mibbees aye, mibbees naw, mibbees this. Friday Everton 2-0 Watford West Brom 1-2Chelsea Saturday Man City 3-1Leicester Bouremouth 2-0 Burnley Middlesbrough 0-0 Southampton Sunderland 0-1Swansea Stoke 1-2 Arsenal Sunday Crystal Palace 2-2 Hull West Ham 1-0Liverpool Tottenham 2-0 Man Utd
  16. The chocolate doughnuts at Geneva Airport are marvellous.
  17. What did Switzerland produce? Swiss Papal Guard, a decent watch or two, cowbells and damned fine Oberlander dogs.
  18. I'm hoping for a Juve win.
  19. Excellent article. Taking Jack Fingleton's wicket and being endorsed by Tom Finney - I would die a happy man on that alone.
  20. Nominated wth pleasure Ritchie, Shearer, Caldow ....aw, jings, too emotional to go on.
  21. Some procedural matter, either very minor or something both sides are agreed on. Having said that, it could be something momentous like one side or the other cavng in and agreeing to bring the case to an end. Unlikely, though, because the victors would be trumpeting their success.
  22. "Anyone been to Elland Road? Leeds fans are utterly mental - dressed up as monks, ostriches, singing all game, pyro on the concourse." Practising for Headingly.
  23. I couldn't get to a screen yesterday until just before McKay scored. Rangers were magnificent. Wizardry from McKay and Tavernier, hard work throughout the team and buzzbomb Miller in a diagonal sprint to create the chance for a Jimmy Millar style header from Garner. Seems I was very lucky to have missed the previous eighty minutes. Actually my praise of KM is genuine. Just before the winner he had done a forty yard sprint to force a Thistle attacker into a loose pass. You could see him go up a gear for the second twenty when most forwards would be easing off passing the buck to a defender. Despite losing the ten minutes 0-2 Jags looked like a team.
