  1. Mourinho outwitted by whom this time? A youth team coach, was it?
  2. You're right about the Lads. Six points at the Bridge and OT. Ha'way the Galacticos. Reckon the league belongs to City. I expect Brendan Rodgers reads my posts so he'll be dancing in the streets of Bootle or wherever he lives when he sees my prediction. Only the eighth time I've changed my mind in the last fortnight.
  3. "Stopper"? As in Willie Telfer or as in hanging around?
  4. So would I but David Luiz is an interesting player is he not? Beckenbaueresque at times , Kontermanesque at others but a pretty good footballer in between with a fair bit of steel in him. I wouldn't want to provoke his retaliation. Question for the great JM. How do you eliminate his tendency to make crucial mistakes?
  5. Sorry, Ser B. Put the mockers on them. That's me done with predictions.
  6. What evidence is there that the gallant 'Brocher ran to the media? Leak from Ibrox or the polis much more likely.
  7. The CL is Chelsea's now. They can beat any team at the Bridge, except Sunderland, so they are pretty much guaranteed their place in the final. RM peaked last night and strangely I feel they are an easier team for Chelsea than Bayern would have been. Ser Barristen will read this with gloom as he remembers all my other forecasts this season.
  8. A security does not convey ownership. The security holder only enters into possession on failure to implement the obligation for which the security is granted. Even then the security holder does not become the beneficial owner do do what he likes. Academic really because I can't see it happening .
  9. A loon fae the 'Broch? One of our more erudite posters, I suspect.
  10. Ii'm ok with Fulham it's just that I have a greater liking for some of the others in peril. If I could choose the fallers it would be Norwich, Stoke and Palace. Actually I'd quite like Chelsea to go down but that's not realistic.
  11. D'Art deserves our greatest admiration for his tenacity. It must be taking hours of his time and no small, part of his treasure if he's got solicitors doing some of the work. HMRC should not get away with waffling. There are only two sources of leaked information. One is someone from SDM's side. Unlikely I would have thought. The other is HMRC. Surely there is an onus on them to establish that they are not guilty. I don't believe for one moment that any football club or senior politician was involved in the theft of information from HMRC. Much more likely is a mid to high level operator within HMRC with access to the case and with a season ticket to the jungle. Shouldn't be too hard to find.
  12. WBA and S'land creeping to safety. Praise be. Norwich, Fulham and Cardiff for the drop.
  13. That's the manager's job, though, isn't it? Fix the attitude. Stein did it with a team of duffers at Parkhead, then, whaddaya know? Nine in a row.
  14. Was there not a shot of him on the telly after a Rangers goal, on his feet, arms stretched out in triumph, cheering wildly while those about him in the Directors' Box applaud quietly? However, just because you are a fan, doesn't mean you're not a chancer or much worse.
  15. JM's pretty good right enough. Planned for Gerrard to trip over his own feet. Pity he was outwitted by Pulis and Poyet.
  16. "Jardine coming through the middle - he's a great player, this boy - shoots and it's a goal for Rangers." Not my words but those of David Francey in a radio commentary on Rangers v them very early in his career. The boy was a great player right enough. He became a great man.
  17. Eddie is a Tim who has been to some (but not all) of the classes in an HND course in basic-business-law-for-the absolute- beginner-with-no-hope-of-going-further. I wonder if the lecturer was one James Spence.
  18. Ahwuzzerrr! Saw the ball come back out to Kai. saw his foot go back. Next instant it's in the net! Truth be told we were lucky ovwr the 180 minutes especially the first 90. Thank God for Billy Ritchie. Second only to the Goalie. Old warhorse Jimmy Millar back to where he once belonged at left half. the order of succession after Billy was Martin, Sorensen, Neef. McCloy was next, much mocked for swinging on a crossbar but a better 'keeper than the previous three and generally did pretty well but not as good as Woods or Klos
  19. I don't know anything at all about the poor chap except that he wasn't a football star.
  20. " Presumably you do have your tongue firmly in your cheek with this suggestion!" They might give a thought to Mourinho but I reckon it'll be Eck. Van Gaal is probably tearing up his Arsenal application but he hasn't a hope against McLeish.
  21. Should have been a red card. What was Adams doing running out to block him? Yellow for him. Hope County go down.
