  1. King said: "I would like to specifically record my disappointment that, if I hadn't been blocked by the present board in favour of a lesser and commercially disadvantageous offer by Mr Ashley, the money could have gone into the club and not into the pockets of exiting shareholders."

The former Rangers director had no further comment to make on the transaction, which was announced by the RIFC board in a release to the Stock Exchange

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30661103

in the long run surely it's better that the shares are in the hands of the rangers men than still in the hands of the investment groups that are ultimately outwith control!!

  2. :tu: I watched shite football for years and will do again, provided that there is no remnant of the bastards who ransacked the place overy the last few years.

you are welcome . I find that a fucking atrocious comment. you of all people who castigate certain posters as being under the thrall of the board etc etc and you will accept more shite football because that's what our masters will decide we will get . unbelievable

  3. I have no doubt the attendances would increase, the football will need to improve as well though.

In truth we have been playing terrible football for over 10 years but nobody is going to keep paying to also see us lose.

pretty sure they get a goodwill turnout just for freeing us from the current mob. however they have to sort out the team or the increase in support wont last long

  4. it will take months if not years to sort out the football team, most would realise this and go along to support both financially and morally the new regime.

we have been so brainwashed on the walter /ally know best bullshit some seem to think this managing rangers lark is some kind of near impossible gig. get a decent manager and they could turnaround this current lot in a handful of games.

  5. this 12 international quality players is ridiculous and is the kinda path that would just see us back in the financial shitter every other year... Aberdeen and DU have barely an "international class" player between them and they are knocking heavily on Celtics door. what we need is a good sound business plan with a progressive budget that increases as our income increases. that demands that the manager gets an attractive , improving team on the park before he gets the next swathe of cash to spend. that way you build back to the top with all your departments functioning properly and within budget. I sincerely hope this three bears get it sorted but if they revert to Ally and Walter and start throwing millions we don't have on a speculative attempt to get back on top in season one then I wont be there .. this will surely be the last chance to get it right!!!

  6. Bill has really set a few people on the back foot, after all what has changed except the names on share certs, Laxey via Kingsnorth have all but admitted they were powerless against Ashley, even with 16% shareholding. What will the new share holders be able to enforce against Ashley that the Laxey camp failed to.

There will be no share issue it will be a rights issue if any at all, the share issue was voted down by RF and RST amongst others.

When Ashley decides good or bad we will know.

Haven't seen good buddy RangersRab about, surely not another enforced holiday.

dear lord Quattro. what is the difference?? The people that laxey have sold to are willing to put money in to try and regain control from Ashley. laxey hoped to get a return from their share in rangers but were clearly unwilling to put in any more and decided to cut and run. oh as well if it's true that the easdales are willing to assist the "three" in their attempts to take control then that would be another alliance of ashleys away..

  7. I can see where you're coming from, but if they're going to use any money brought in from the sale of Macleod to hand out pay-offs, then I'm not convinced they'd target McCoist and his 12 month notice when they could just continue to make other staff redundancies on the cheap and cut the same amount of money (or more) from the monthly bills.

Then there's the players who are out of contract at the end of the season and only due another 5 months wages. It might be better to target them with pay-off deals than McCoist because more money could probably be cut from the monthly bills for less outlay.

Either way, it looks almost certain that more players than just Macleod will be sold or moved on where possible while they continue to carve up the staffing costs.

you're probably right but it just shows the fucked up thinking at the club. if they used it to pay off the ally sideshow and used the freed up salary to get a decent guy in , an upturn in our form and results could easily see increased gates again (lets face it not all the stay aways are because of the board alone), that would be cash coming in that currently is not. but it appears they don't need fans cash anymore!!!

  8. Looks like this is actually happening.

aye it does. bbc have it on their page.. a real shame and hopefully the sell on clause is as onerous in Rangers favour as some of the fucking beauties we are bound by.

I hope they spend the money in paying off the "management" team and get someone in pronto. if they don't turn football round soon no one will be going to any of the games, Celtic excepted as everyone wants a piece of that particular pie!!!

  9. If you base the size of club on fanbase and past success, we are of course smaller than Rangers. But we are also smaller than, for example, Leeds, but are still a more attractive proposition for young players.

you are dead right . unfortunately so many of our support have this arrogant attitude that we are the rangers and we expect to be top of the pile, despite the fact we are in the mess we are. any form of realistic expectation voiced is seen as lacking ambition etc. to rebuild we should have seen ourselves as a smaller club and taken our recovery step by step. I wouldn't let my son anywhere near rangers as they are at present and would be encouraging Lewis to make the move now before he is dragged down.

  10. I still predict he'll be back up the road at a Dundee Hivs or a Sheep within 18 months.

He'll be a squad player at Brentford IMO.

if he goes I really hope he is a success. the fear is that when he rolls up for training he is so off the pace that he doesn't get a start and doesn't establish himself in the team.

  11. Ah, fuck. Turns out their fans are nice too. Bloody hell.

and well run, ambitious etc. I bet they have realistic but challenging goals as well. (like being in Champions league in a year ho ho fucking ho) there s nothing about this Brentford that evenly remotely resembles the Mighty Glasgow rangers.. aye fuck off indeed...

  12. There is no evidence to suggest that Ashley does not want to make us kings of Europe, but it doesn't take a genius to guess that this is not on his agenda.

If we had to submit hard evidence and provide sources for everything we put down here, it would be a much quieter place.

It is my belief that those waiting to come in, and I hope they are successful because the alternative we are experiencing is quite repulsive, are likely to look back rather than forward when it comes to the actual football.

If they do, they will be making a huge mistake.

without any evidence to back it up my gut feel is that Kingco would turn to walter et al for advice on the football side and the result of that would be quite predictable..
