    Jim henry will no doubt oversee ss for the youth as well as first team. Ss starts at age 11/12 ar pro youth academies. Its not as sexy, as in Big Bang Theory, kinda science. mostly a series of tests that are monitored ongoing, looking for continuos lines of improvement. Overall a major step in terms of raising the bar fitness wise. I have heard that it forms the basis for selection for some managers rather than ability and form and whether it actually balances the team. I see he says rangers have funded extra equipment for US and a three year contract. Is henry a freelancer or employee? At otherclubs they use resources at local uni's etc to carry out the testing and compilation of result data etc.. Hope your boys dont get the beep test. Its just a f@***ng joyless slog...

    Malmo! I don't expect that folks thought that result at the time was allys nail in the coffin. More that it was a starting point of a continuing run of poor results paricularly in cup competition. Of course hindsight plays a part but it is that "history" that attracts the criticism. Why do you shake your head in disbelief when you also say you don't rate him. That appears that you believe he is above criticism!

    This is not saying i am right, but when i look at allys record as a whole i see lessons not being learned (very poor cup record, poor squad management, wasted millions on pay offs and high paid players surplus to requirement, or favour! No discernable system to speak of other than defender overload, poor player development at all levels to name but a few). Take each disappointing result in isolation or an individual promising player that failed to flourish, or a certain game where tactics were tried and failed and you can easily make a case for excusing that as a mere blip. I think i have enough nous to see what is staring me in the face!

    As admin craig we can take that as another warning to back off on db! His use of the term "ally bashers" is becoming quite offensive as it used in context as if anyone who has a go at the diety is some kind of trouble making oik whose opinion is not worthy. Feelings in many of the support, on ally, are on a par with feelings on the board! Dont often see board bashers being asked to tone it down.. Ps can't talk for others but my problem with mcoist is i feel his performance is a BIGGER problem than the boards. Lets face it whatever they are up to they have provided him with unbelievable level of funding

    For me the difference is own money is someone actually taking a chunk of real cash and handing it over. When it is company money its just shuffling funds around on balance sheets. His companies managed to absorb the rangers losses when they were profitable. When the erse fell out if the metals market the house of cards fell in.

    Cfc have taken the risk with ronnie bhoy now as i'm sure they feel confident that even if it doesnt work out they will still win the league. If the gamble works then they may well have unearthed a gem. If not they will go big on next appointment.. Who knows. Its the kind of appointment we should have made two seasons ago. Fresh start, should have got out of third with eyes closed etc etc. Only change we can make now is a proven safe bet...

    Unless ally was to lift the lid on some spectactular shenanigans going at the club i have no interest in his opinions on anything other than his football team. That is the area he needs to concentrate on and talk about if he feels the need to grace a camera... I don't get the impression that he feels under any pressure.

    The key in this is "player wants to stay and get new contract" .. just another average joe trying to squeeze more out of the club that just loves to keep giving.

    I know that the issue has been safety but i would love it ( said in kevin keegan stylie) if we could find a way to seriously reduce their ticket allocation in future.
