    Well done you. That certainly was a much better attempt at making your point " known". Cato had his forum and this my one. if you are suggesting that his opinion only counted for more because of his position of power then thanks for revealing that (only express opinion where change can happen. So i can only express opinion on mcoist if i am on the rangers board!)     Nope, him and his brand of football is the reason i didn't make the 400 mile round trip to ibrox this season past. On Previous visits me and the lad sat and twiddled about with our phones for most of the game due to utter boredom. It got to the stage that 150 quid days oot just weren't worth it..The solution to our boardroom/ownership issues are complex and you know what.. money doesn't grow on trees.. but you could replace that clown with better for half his wage..

    Db , i doubt anything is going on behind the scenes. This is just more of ally playing media games. Grown ups have a sit down with their boss face to face and pose all these questions. If you like the answers fine . If not then you decide if you want to work for them or you compromise and continue to take their shilling.. from top to bottom we must be one of the shabbiest football clubs around..

    To be honest with ally's policy /record of signing players on 3 year contracts and then going off them but unable to offload them, the one year deals maybe make sense. Albeit more papering the cracks..

    The trump card was withholding money so club would be forced to cave in. Now they say support the team game by game. Board will just cover any shortfalls with shares for the boys or generous loan arrangements etc.. poor on field performances more likely to stop folks going game by game. Would this force their hand to change the management?

    calscot We aspire to be a top two club. Until we are then erm we are not! Your post was about how hard it is for a top seven club to develop youth. We had the comfort of lower leagues to do that before we got near top seven.. Short term policy to have a realistic plan that enhances the club each year ongoing? Do you know anything about planning? I'm not saying a player should have set position but when a player eg fleck( you dredged him up on other thread) has played mostly centre mid then he he gets his opportunity at left mid. Gallagher a centre forward at right mid. The list goes on..How the hell does that encourage and help a youngster cement his position in first team. If you were cynical you could almost say they were being set up to fail! Lastly on ally it's all in the fruits of his labours mate..

    Sorry calscot but these stats were relevant to top seven clubs in spl. We are not a top seven club so why use that stats? We have been operating in the top level of div 3, 2, and now 1.. All this we are a big club is the nub of the problem. We are big in terms of support and potential but we hit rock bottom and should have set about rebuilding with basics. ( ie your "small club mentality") as you put each layer of foundation and subsequent levels in place then you reset your goals a bit higher each season. At times with ally and walter before it looked as if they expected more from a youngster than from the experienced palyers. They would play the old pros in their best positions and the youngsters would be played out of position, making it harder for them to settle and make an impression. The key word in youth development is nurturing and ally doesnt do nurturing...

    i recall dj having a long and succesful carreer. I recall fleck being played wide left mid and the great sir wattie couldn't handle him.

    Boughera 31/32 years old.. Another three years before he has the experience ally craves..... Also looks way to fit and mobile. One for the future.

    I wish we would stop being derogatory to the lower division players ie plumbers etc and not professional.. ( the term for part time is semi pro ie they are pros but share it with a regular job). On many occasion they found us out tactically and effortwise. The focus here should be on our team playing like a pub team.
