  1. I don't know that he is a bad manager but he has misjudged the mood of the fans re jig and dare I say it made a poor judgement on his playing ability as well. 2 draws are about as much use as 2 defeats at this stage . hindsight is a wonderful thing but 2 brave selections and maybe defeats and who knows he might have had a better idea who can take us forward. looks like he HAS to make the brave decisions now and we could well have a few sticky games as a result. Time will soon run out on saving anything from this season. I expected McCall to have a bit more balls to sweep out the old brigade..

  2. Why would a Director be making statements about football matters? We know the situation regarding McCall - he's there until the end of the season to try and win promotion.

im not asking the chairman to comment on football matters per se just thought he would have introduced the new manager and given him a bit of a build up and public backing to rip into this mess that has been left. that he has said absolutely nothing is my issue.. and just to clarify something the club hasn't really said what the deal is with Mcall beyond summer and I think that's why he doesn't want a grilling from the media as to exactly what the criteria is etc for him staying on...

  3. Maybe they are working on other things like getting out of Ashley's ridiculous contracts.

And is it not the managers job to speak about football?

aye nae doubt they are to busy to faff around with something as irrelevant as the FOOTBALL TEAM! my point is that for a guy who isn't usually shy to sit in front of a camera and tell the world what Rangers need he is quite reluctant to tell us what the deal is with McCall, why they chose him , what his remit is etc.. I know why. it's cowardice. easy to shout from the sidelines like we all have the luxury of doing on Forums etc. it's not so easy to make the big decisions and have the balls to back it up. I think he's not keen to back a loser so is saying nothing until he see's how it pans out..

  4. who else to pick. also worth noting he did drop some players.

As you are close to Kenny on this one why did he not make it public like he did with the Newcastle boys. It would have gained him some sympathy from the fans...Instead he looks like he was happy to go along with destroying our season.

  5. Today I was told that players had told Kenny the simply didn't care if we won and they didn't want to train.

Mccoll may have a very limited number of actually motivated players.

Pity then that Kenny didn't name them in the press and drop them. He was quick enough to bleat about having to play the Newcastle boys. Seems that was the least of his troubles. More I hear a bit km the more I despise his tenure at the club.

  6. Stu has to see that Lee is toxic. he may well have been sucked in as he would probably appear to be the only leader at the club but surely he must see now that he is finished. it's symbolic that he is dropped as it sends the message that stu is his own man and all previous favourites are no longer that. just do it Stuart you wont regret it....

  7. if the new board were unaware of the real agendas aimed at rangers by the likes of the BBC and DR then they surely know now. no need for public banning orders, just strangle all communication with them and treat them like shit at every opportunity. no employee should be giving exclusive interviews or writing columns etc for these rags.

  8. Some of the stuff....if it is his....is utterly indefensible. Fair enough expressing opinions but going on racist derogatory rants is quite another thing.

I agree about the content but the message is that anyone connected to Rangers will be scrutinised in depth to try and find any dirt. it comes back to the premise are they doing this with all public figures of all teams or is it selective. it is abuse of power to single out one section of the community and ignore similar "offences" elsewhere..

  9. You must think Ally is a great manager then as when he had the same shite players, they were the most consistent winners in our league despite all the off-field problems.

We've gone from 81.5% win rate under McCoist to 30% under McDowall, don't you think that with the boardroom change, the new optimism, the crowds improving, and a new manager, we should at least be able to have an upturn from 30% back up to over 80% win rate?

The players have it in them to be better as they've already been better this season - even with supposedly the worst manager in Scotland and supposedly playing the shitest football.

Surely, without the boycott and fan acrimony, without the continual boardroom crises, without the depression over Ibrox with the job cuts and everything else that's happened, without all the uncertainty about getting paid, or that there will be a Rangers at all, there is potential for vast improvement from the players from where they were in the first half of the season, never mind now?

McCall will have something that McCoist and McDowall never had - a boardroom of guys who have the interests of the club at heart, a board who are not just there to fill their pockets with as much loot as they can.

The players are obviously despondent, apathetic and totally lacking any motivation - and some of the problems that caused that are still there such as contracts ending, Newcastle loanees taking places in the team, low confidence etc.

Motivation is where a new manager can often shake things up - the feel good factor, players looking to impress for a place in the team and new contracts, a new sense of purpose and drive, and even just the enthusiasm of a new guy and sense of change for the better.

If McCoist and McDowall were really the poor managers that the memes suggest then we should be expecting better results than both of them (and better football) from the players we have - which pretty much points to at least a 90% win rate. With that kind of form, you would have to think it probable that we'd get promoted.

I think I need to report you to police Scotland for posting such an offence to my intelligence.. to equate Ally as a decent manager because he was better than the car crash that was Mcdowell is just plain ridiculous. Allys was in the shit with this lot despite him assembling the squad at huge cost (wages) and being completely satisfied with said squad.

  10. You are kidding mate, offending people is what we are trying to get rid of in society.

Personally I do not go out of my way to offend. Switch on the telly and there are popular programs centred around offending people , comedians pushing boundaries of taste and decency and finally the Charlie hebdo cartoons themselves. However dare the man in the street attempt to wander into these murky waters of offensiveness. It's a fucked up world of double standards..

  11. liked his comment about players doing what they do best noting his comment about Law beating a man and scoring in training.... hopefully this indicates he will be playing players in their best positions and playing a balanced team, not trying to fit round pegs in square holes..

  12. Let's see how he does before writing him off. We need a manager right now and can look again in the summer. If he's excelled, then he's in with a shout, if not then we can explore alternative.

as long as they leave the decision to keep him on as a subjective decision based on all factors not just a Promotion = new deal. The very nature of the task in trying to coax this rabble over the line will require whatever means required and not so much building for the future. if he can achieve both in a short term then he could well be considered but that would be a hell of an ask..
