Tommy Wright is probably the safest choice tbh. His returns, league position, on the budget he's had are very consistent, he knows the game here inside out, he has excellent man management skills (he can get something out of MOH so he must have) and he wont break the bank with exorbitant compensation claims. I wouldnt be over the moon with Tommy at the helm but I'd be slightly happier if it was him over McIness.
Guys that do well at smaller clubs on tight budgets are sometimes lost at bigger clubs when they get some money to spend. Also the expectations, Wright can lose three games in a row at St Johnstone, not at Rangers.

I wonder what Niko's fitness is like. IIRC he's been back in training, and I suspect we could use his creativity, even if its only for 20-30 minutes off the bench, should Hearts prove to be stuffy and stubborn as I suspect they will.
I think Hearts will come at us all guns blazing and if we are not ready for it we will lose, maybe heavily.

Eastcoasters you mean like John Greig, Sandy Jardine, Willie Johnstobe, Jim Baxter Jimmy Miller, ?
Yes indeed.

NO NO NO!!!!!!!
We would be as well getting Ally back.
I'm saying give him the rest of the season with a limited budget, if he fails then get rid, if he wins the league then give him a long term contract

Fair to crticise if you want but unless you were at game you would not have noticed the quality of his play on tuesday, tackling, passing, interceptions even shots from him being blocked.
Maybe Murty will find a way to use him and Dorrans properly.
Good point. Watching on the telly as I do now only gives me a view as dictated by the TV director, but I thought Jack was having a good game. However his sending off was complete stupidity on his part.

De Boer's just failed miserably in two jobs and I'm honestly not sure how he'd do with us, if we could even get him. I'd have him every day of the week ahead of Big Eck, McInnes etc tho.
Do Boer does not fill me with confidence, he did not inspire. I'm sorry but if Big Eck will take it on a temporary basis then go for him.

Allardyce might play shite football but he's proven himself as a competent manager in one of the biggest leagues in the world. Compare that to the other bookie's favourites.
He is passed it. We want someone who can get Rangers playing football in a less than competitive league. Its not that difficult.

We have no chance of landing someone like Allardyce without serious funds being made available
I don't want a big worthless pudding like Allardyce. We can do better than that. let's see what pans out.

Halliday was bloody awful

Just to add if you are a manager sitting at home. Do you remain out of work thinking you are worth a million and waiting for a club to pay you that or do you get back into work for the half of it and wait from a working position? I doubt if there is any manager takes a job on thinking he is going to fail so most will fancy a shot at toppling the tims.
Ok I'm up for it

I think the extensive rubbishing of Pedro is coming from many sources and they ain't all tims
he was a likeable guy but did not demonstrate he would be successful

You can get rid of players if you are successful.

I like Allan Curbishley but he has been out of management for so long.

Some earn trust, like Greig, Wallace, and Jardine.......
I view with suspicion anything or anyone from East of High Street. Experience has taught me to categorise such people/places/ things as guilty, until proved innocent.
The mind boggles

Rangers were awarded a penalty. Kilmarnock players objected as they thought, as Little General said, that Broadfoot touched the ball in the box, thus allowing the free kick to be retaken. Rangers players including Jack should have let them get on with it instead of getting involved. Why Candeias was allowed to take the penalty I do not know.

Yes I noticed Tavernier was posted missing as usual when Burke scored.

To be fair we did start well. The team looked like it knew what it was doing.
Dorrans going off meant we had to bin our original gameplan.
The team really struggled when Nemane came on though.
We dominated possession but Kilmarnock created the best chance until we scored.

With Alves, Jack and probably Dorrans missing Hearts will put another nail in Pedro's coffin.

Alves & Pena not even in the squad
That bench is very mediocre
Bloody hell Craig, get it right

I am sure the thinking is that Moult and Elbows would miss the final, so do nothing. Alves is a Rangers player so hammer him.

It's all very well playing the same team so they can redeem themseves, but it isn't games against Killie at Ibrox that's the problem.
I would like to see John in the Windass position, Holt beside Jack and Dorrans for Pena. If Herrera can't get a game now, then what a waste of money along with Pena.
I think it would be very unfair to play John further forward. He is not a silky midfielder that can find a killer pass nor a tricky winger. His best position is an attacking fullback. I agree that Herrera should be given game time and see if Morelos can play off him. I thought Jack had a poor game on Sunday and would prefer the energy and attacking ability of Holt.

But how is it fair if the tactics that they use are illegal by the laws of the game? What is even the point in continuing?
Thomson’s tackle was a cruncher yes, but we’re now talking about players getting broken bones and it being deemed acceptable (well when it’s a Rangers player).
Cardoso caught Moult with his elbow in the first half. I would say it was accidental but Moult and all Motherwell fans would disagree.

Completely agree with JohnMc. First up will be Kilmarnock then a real test against Hearts away. Both these teams will employ a physical game against us and if we are not up for it we will lose.

disagree Frankie. Have heard all this before with scottish players who coast at smaller clubs.
The guy in my opinion will fail miserably at Rangers if he ever signed. He loses possession far too often and fails to hold the ball up. scoring a goal wont see that forgiven at Ibrox. His all round play is just far too low a standard to play in front of 50,000 fans.
What does that say for Pena?

He probably will but has done nothing this season to justify being back in the team and captain.
