He just signed a new deal, 4 years long i think.... so if he does moved at least we should be able to command a decent wedge of cash. But i really do hope we can hang on to him, the guy is the real deal and the sort of player we should be building the team around for when we reach the SPL.

I really can't see King coming back unless he knows he will have sufficient influence and allies to affect change..otherwise whats the point he would just end up in the same position as M.Murray did. The timing makes me awfully suspicious though especially since as far as i can figure out no actual quotes from King on the matter yet. -
Didn't King say he would invest via a share issue and that's the only way he would get involved? but yes you are right there would be very few people if any apart from maybe King that would invest significant funds via a share issue, never thought of that

when you list the players that we have there Super_Ally i still can't believe we play such terrible football and struggle to win against lower division sides on a regular basis.... hopfully its just a case of getting the team to blend since we made so much signings and then we really can challenge for a cup. You just have to look at our Uefa cup final side...they played painful football to watch but they were brilliant as a unit and gave 110%

Wouldn't they need announce to the stock market if they sold our largest asset? Regarding the lack of funds couldn't they do a share issue? I suppose that wouldn't be in the interest of current shareholders since it would dilute there shareholding but i would have thought selling the stadium would have an equally negative impact on the financial side of things in terms of the share price falling... if that makes sense

total overkill...crazy decisions getting made at the club. It's getting to be like fucking Whyte era mark 2. I have a bit of sympathy for Super, because if he hardly signed anybody and we drop points he will get chastised, and now he gets the same for signing too many players so for him its a case of damned if he does, damned if doesn't. But at the same time this is what is to be expected when managing one of the largest clubs in the world. However Mather and co should really have gave him a smaller budget and if need be we could always have strengthened in the winter window. I'm almost scared for the accounts coming out...i get the feeling its going to be some pretty grim reading.

Still don't understand why Super wants to sign Simonsen..... can someone please explain to me why we need an experienced back up goalie in div 2??? Gallacher has only conceded 1 goal in what 4 games (which was a total screamer)...surely that suggests he is more than capable as a backup option. It does my bloody head in this sledgehammer to crack an egg approach.

I was thinking about this the other day, its likely celtic will have made roughly 80-90 million in CL money alone by the time we get back to the top league.... and considering they break even more or less without that money this is pretty much all cash in the bank. Now i'm not saying it will cost 80million to compete with them but its going to cost a fucking massive wedge anyway....i really dont think we have a supporter who can or will plough that sort of cash into the club. And although the thought of it is bloody grim i would much rather be self sustaining and just trying to our best to compete with the resources we have than have to go cap in hand to someone to pump in cash. and to be frank look where that got us in the end with Murray..

I'm pretty sure for the ground being used, they will be paid x amount of a fee whether 60000 turn up or 6000 so to be honest if we make it there i think it would rile them up a shit ton more if we were to sell out their gorund when they can't even manage it for a vital champions league quali. Of course if they get a cut of the tickets i would change my opinion.

I think Ally really likes him in the team, he played him every game he was fit last year...he was pretty obviously our main stand out along with Wallace as well. So whatever Ally's plans were this year were with his signings i'm sure it has McLeod involved as a regular

Betting against your own club isn't a big deal??? Black was our corner and free kick taker last season...if you are betting against your club pretty easy to make a cunt of all of them...and thats just scratching the surface. If guilty of betting against Gers, has to go asap....simple as that.

I read online the other day that the supporters trusts apparently own 12% of the club, unless i misread the article..can anyone confirm if that is true or not? I would try and find the source but this was before the forum went down.

Do you guys have an idea how friendlies work? Like in champ manager (assuming it is somewhat lifelike) you need to pay fees to the other clubs to arrange friendlies...do you reckon Wednesday paid us for this knowing they would get a decent crowd in or vice versa and we get a share of the gate? Any ideas? Just interested....

Maybe but i would be very surprised if he didn't have some kind of bonus....pretty much the norm for senior managers.

Even scarier when you consider he will most likely have performance related bonuses if i remember correctly like CG had if we got promoted. So that will add few more £k's onto his pay packet no doubt.

Very unlikely to make a difference, whoever was trying to do the taking over would still need a large chunk of people to agree to sell to them in order to make a difference. CG and his allies must now command a fair % of shares so unless they could get them to sell, a takeover wouldn't be very easy.

100% agree with this. Especially in Scotland where it is almost guaranteed that even if someone doesn't support Rangers or Celtic they usually have sympathies one way or the other. I like the way Talksport handle this, the majority of the time someone comes on, even a journo they pretty much always say who the person supports.

I voted failure. But it certainly isn't as clear cut as that. The main thing was to win the league which we will do. However i think all fans wanted to see some signs of development on the pitch with the youngsters coming through this year and with the signings made. When it actual fact barring some odd glimpses we have been average at best most games. Again i think with some of the signings made, Black, Templeton, Shiels, Sandaza, we all expected to be banging in the goals this year and playing good football which just simply hasn't happened.

What about Shiels he has been playing off Kyle and Sandaza and its not worked. when we play Little through the middle with Shiels it makes a huge difference. Sorry mate but for me i don't want Daly or a Sandaza, I want a striker who is mobile and can play with the ball at his feet......I mean is it too much to expect for us to consistently outplay a lower league team?

That playing with a striker to lump the ball up to doesnt work. Kyle and Sandaza were both hopeless so why do we think it will all of a sudden be succesfull with Daly? I want Rangers to try better than that...get the ball on the deck and play fitba like a top side versus lower division team and not like a top side playing like a lower division team.

Yeah that was bloody daft but I bet that is just the norm in football. I bloody hope we don't sign Daly either.....just shows Ally would have learned nothing from this year.

Feel a bit sorry for him. I mean everyone knew he was there for the money same as the vast majority of players nowadays. Still it was a bit bloody daft to open his mouth over the phone to some random guy he doesnt know.
