Shane Ferguson is closing in on his Rangers debut

not saying i disagree I just imagine Mccall will offer the squad a fresh start and judge them from there. He has already said if the team is winning and players are performing they will keep their positions -

looking more and more like a PR stunt. Why he didn't just send players who could actually play, who knows! Might become of benefit during play offs but hard to see any manager putting them in for their first games at such a critical point unless we were still struggling. -

2 or 3 weeks away from returning to training? -
I do feel sorry for the guy it must be gut wrenching to get on the board then have it taken away so quickly, that being said if you pick to go to war with a enemy as powerful and devious as the bbc you cannot let your guard down even for a second. He knew what he was up against. His tweets were stupidity and a failure to fully grasp the lengths the bbc would stoop, the tweet highlighted being just the tip of the iceberg. Time to put this to bed. If he had stayed on I would have happily stood behind him even though i don't want to see the rst anywhere near the board, but he has taken the decision to leave. Bring back the elected fan representatives and give them the time to sort their house. would be far more effective than PM selecting his buddies from the crowd for important roles.

Stuart McCall officially confirmed as new Rangers manager
trublusince1982 replied to chilledbear's topic in Rangers Chat
Easy the rest of the teams in the spl don't have good enough managers for Rangers either. Have you looked at his record against us? The team of duds we have right now managed by the worst management team in our history still wiped the floor with motherwell . They where so bad we looked like world beaters. A 40% win record in the spl, means nothing. -

Rangers v Motherwell under their tenures. they do not only show mccoist wiped the floor with him they also show that McCall is not very good at getting an underdog to compete. -

you honestly want me to believe there was no way to foresee the need of a stop gap replacement for Mcdowall before 5 days ago?!! if so you much take as long as the greenco lovers to reach an obvious conclusion. -

you want to have a go at me while completely failing to grasp the difference between finding a manager and a stop gap. the only thing the new board could do in the run upto the egm once they were convinced of victory, was asses the management and playing situation. They have failed to do that. Its one thing to determine you need time to fully asses the requirements of a full time replacement. Its another to accept the continuation of medriocracy leading the failure to gain promotion in the intervening time. The consequences of such an approach far out weigh the short term benefits. there is no excuse of merit for not having magath ready to go. He has voiced not only his willingness but his understanding of the situation. if the roles were reversed you would have jumped on the old board rightfully so for that lack of understanding the situation. dont let your standards slip now. We have a long hard road ahead that has no room for hesitation or weakness.
