  1. as long as they consider it a leaving doo for them all. have at it.
  2. Sinclair going as well? hope he is going to be replaced or are we now making no attempt to kid on we care about a footballing future?
  3. was meaning sommers recent crap but could cover both same crap different day!
  4. were is the money from rangers tv? did it make a profit? what period did the ppv games come under? what uses fall under rangers retail? does that mean it can only be used to cover stock purchases and we will never make the club a penny? thats in complete contradiction of our chairmans statement of it making the club good money?
  5. pour on the doom and gloom for a while then when Ashley gives another loan the majority breath a sigh of release instead of pointing the finger of blame at him.winning hearts and minds. with recent pr effecting merchandise he needs to divert before he makes a move
  6. just another tactic. How else can you be acclaimed as a white knight if everyone knows your the fault? expect the dispair angle will be in full swing until our saviour appears from the mist.
  7. If you want to publicly state you spend x amount of money raised through selling Rangers related merchandise to rangers fans as an alternative to the terrible set up the club is operating, you should have no qualms about backing that statement up. I think we can all understand wanting the bare minimum of transparency in the current climate? No? A month or so ago I would have thought it obvious buying merchandise from the official stores would benefit Rangers to a greater extend than anyone else. That obviously was a wrong conclusion. Fool me once and all that. If you want to show the way it should be done then do so. If I cannot take the word of the club then why should I take the word of strangers? That obviously has to be extrapolated across the support. Looking at public accounts when released is after the fact and no use to nobody. Not into factions and all the little groups, but at the same time don't see what is wrong in asking to see some evidence before I consider making any purchase. All they have to do is show turnover against shares bought minus share bought through separate funding. In the most basic of ways. If information is to be kept private and only for the consumption of RST members or only RST members can access the information to assuage their concerns and no public information will be forthcoming then surely sales should be limited to RST members? If you want to involve the whole support as one fund raising community then do so, in a full and frank manner. Pretty sad if transparency is denied because of fear of other factions of the support or how they will twist. Might as well call it a day then. Do we have anyone who leads the way and shows how it should be done based on the principles of our founding fathers? All these groups/factions and nowt but words and pettiness. Stop worrying about others and start worrying about self. These tops could be a great idea and a great alternative for fans don't ruin it with obtuseness.
  8. how many shares were purchased through the red and black shirt sales?
  9. that was when we had hope for a brighter future and thought our cash would be used to support that hope.We all put up with shit football at times but not as a constant level for ever more obviously the guys i speak too are too small a number to extrapolate what the greater support think. Out of 6 of them, all who have been season ticket holders for over 18 years say they are not missing it when they expected they would and have no intention of coming back. Before it was wont be back until they see big changes in infrastructure and where their money goes now its not sure they want to go every other Saturday now and they have x amount to spend. Thinking of just sticking to euro trips etc.
  10. Northern Ireland store now closed.Think the airport one is going also. Take it the merchandise deal works...... SD have full say on all matters with any dispute settled by sd taking full control for half last years profit(£1.8m). All stock levels , quality control and pricing is decided by them We pay for surplus stock, so SD can order the manufacture in bulk to lower selling price to suit SD stores low pricing. with us paying for the extra stock out of our cut of profit. profit is split on 51/49% after costs are deducted and held in accounts till end of retail season when all surplus stock is accounted for and charged from our half of profit at a rate higher than retail value? Remainder is then paid to us? Basically on paper we get the majority share but in reality they get the larger monetary number? So for £7.6 m turnover they get around £2.2 m we get around £1.4 m profit with payment during next season? Taking it the £411,000 comes from our profit margin and is not already deducted from turnover since we pay it? could be wrong. 52% costs do seem huge in clothing? so to match the £3 m return we used to get. turnover will need to be around what £16 m+ at that level of cost (52%) plus £411,000 surplus on every £7.6 m?? this is my rough guess not actual so don't go mental! done the math in my head so take it with a pinch of salt!!
  11. don't see how a full house will help? not going to raise another £8 m each year and not enough are going to pay another 20% rise in price next year to watch freebie players
  12. The folk I have talked too that didn't renew are not missing it, that for me is the most worrying thing.
  13. he will need to go further afield than that to hide from Rangers fans. There will always be one just around the next corner. He will find the world has became a very small place for him.
  14. Will be very surprised if we get to the start of next season debt free(large share issue wiping out debt accumulated this season) even if that happens we will still start next season with the club in a terrible position football wise needing large investment in scouting etc and a squad minus the out of contract players that we have no cash to replace with anything other than reject freebie players and a reducing wage structure(less than 26%) going against them with £19 m spent on first team. With only £1.389 ish m due from this years accumulated retail minus deductions(guessing that is why it is held). Only real difference will be we are still f**ked but now minus another revenue option facing a season of complete embarrassment hoping to beat all the rest and qualify for Europe. So where are we? back in debt needing European football to fund the squad with the non qualifiction in Europe sounding the death knell
  15. Yes there is. Billions in fact. Slazenger, Dunlop,Lonsdale,Donnay,Silverfox could go on and on. MA built his company foundations from loser brands which he has neither improved or shown any care towards their quality.
  16. If Rangers and a low level Spanish/French/Italian (and so on) team go for the same player and both offer the same wage 99 times out of a hundred they will pick the Spanish side, that's why we have to offer larger wages than the average Spanish sides. Same goes for any of the decent euro leagues. If you want players to come to Scotland you have to pay higher than the other leagues offer, that or stick to Scottish players and other players not wanted by teams in professional European leagues. if you do that our season ticket prices will need to drop in line with the standard of player and along with those of lower European standing and in line with the wage budget on show, exasperating the problem till we are at a standard that is no longer attractive to 30-40000 fans. If we do not spend on wage bills that attract European standard players then we cannot charge as if we do. Whats the point in having 100 odd staff and a stadium that seats 50,000 and Murray park when you are putting nothing better out than what on the world stage would amount to an amatuer side ? You will not get 50,000 people every other week to watch the talent Scotland produces paying £400-£500 on average for the privilege of doing so. The only way to do so on the cheap as we are attempting is to put the savings into scouting and rival the rest of Europe that way.Unfortunately that would take near on a decade to produce a name for ourselves that would attract young European players away from their home countries or those neighboring them. We do not have the luxury of time, our infrastructure does not allow it. Something has to give and right now it seems to be our quality of product and in doing so I am afraid we are signing our own death warrant.
  17. Spanish teams generally don't need to use cash as an incentive to encourage players to play in their league, their league is incentive in itself.
  18. Has anyone any idea how much the club received from the merchandise deal yet after cost deductions?
  19. marketing dept must be on low wages if twenty grand covers a couple of the. Being paid off is horrible ,remember when it happened to me a month before xmas. Was a kick in the balls but it didnt ruin my life. not a fan of ian black but was the guy not working as a painter or a builder to make ends meat not that long ago? The DR have cost the club more money by printing false one sided negative stories than ian black will ever cost us. Obviously the DR would rather we cut costs from the football side rather than the admin as that suits their agenda of trying to kill us off. First team wage ratio is the lowest in the country i would bet,but shhh.
  20. what were the ipo introduction costs? Ashley got £18m worth of contract for free with the contract signed with no contest against what he wanted. Green was an employee and paid way over the odds. Shares for a pittance bonuses for team success housing allowance expense accounts car allowances pay offs thats just some of the stuff us phlebs know of.
  21. big difference from sticking the head on a player at the side of the park to losing your temper in the dressing room with your own players after a poor performance. Plus SAF didn't mean it! Not so sure he's that good a manager either, football style is boring with long balls to back post every in-direct free kick his stats although they only tell part of the story don't impress that much. 38% win record with Newcastle in premiership.
