  1. Information lifted from RM forum. Andrew Dickson, not the club officially yet, has requested that we do not cut and paste articles from the official site onto our forums. It could cost the club money. Here is his tweet. Andrew Dickson ?@rfc_dickson A request: could folk stop pasting our stories on to forums & Facebook please? It affects our hits, could affect revenue, etc. Thank you Here is a poster's explanation that makes sense - Its all about 'unique' visitors to a website. When you click a link, that hit is registered, if you stay on the site then you're not counted again if you click another page within the same site. The more 'unique' visitors a website gets, the higher it can charge companies to advertise on it, much like paper circulation figures, the more they sell, the more they charge.
  2. He's right. Who do they answer to? The fans, the clubs? Who decides if their performance is good enough and if they deserve to stay?
  3. You can bet that Liewell will have placed calls to Platini in an attempt to have Juve decline the offer.
  4. The sad & distressing Paul Gascoigne charity appearance video Monday, February 4th, 2013 1 Below is the video of England legend Paul Gascoigne that received widespread attention yesterday after it was released by the Sunday Sun newspaper. Gascoigne appeared in a terrible state at a charity event in Northampton on Thursday and the clip is distressing, simply out of concern for a human being. The fact this is one of the leading footballers of a generation, arguably the catalyst behind Englandâ??s best World Cup appearance since winning the trophy in 1966, just makes it hugely sad. A raft of former footballers have come out urging the PFA to step in and help Gazza but the general consensus among people that know the 45-year-old is that he may be beyond saving now. Gascoigneâ??s agent said: â??Maybe no one can save himâ? and Gary Lineker Tweeted: â??I can only hope he finds peace somehow, but fear those hopes may be forlorn.â? Gordon Taylor, chief executive of the PFA, has also pointed out that Gascoigne has received plenty of help. â??If we are not careful, it is going to be akin to George Best. It is unfortunate, but we try to keep going. I canâ??t think of a player who has had more support and constant help over the number of years that we have been there for Paul.â? For comparisonâ??s sake, Gascoigne is currently 45. George Best died aged 59. Video of Paul Gascoigneâ??s sad and distressing charity appearance is below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=T2Tv-2CCqU8 ( probably need to cut and paste the link )
  5. We were blackmailed into accepting all sanctions etc. Liewell and his cabal had been working for this for years and Whyte gave them the chance to turn the tables on us. They don't want to kill Rangers, but they do want them in such a position that Rangers cannot threaten Celtic's free run at Europe every year. This is about money, power and domination. Their plan was working perfectly, but they did not reckon on one thing - Charles. He may be in it for the money, but I think the arrogance and bigotted attitude of Liewell and his cabal has hit a chord that does not sit well with Charles. I do believe that Charles will not be satisfied until he is back on top. I think he knows how to play this game, maybe even better than Liewell.
  6. “So what’s the best thing we can achieve at this moment including the big items such as one league body? “When I came to the SFL five years ago I spoke to the SPL about one body because I felt we could market Scottish football more effectively but it was not seen as possible. “Now we have an opportunity to do that. We also have an opportunity to have more equitable governance where every club has a say. We have an opportunity to have the current wealth spread a bit more fairly down the leagues. “And we also have an opportunity to put in a pyramid structure. “So do we sacrifice that opportunity on the basis that we don’t like two 12s and three eights? Seems to me that although it's not their first choice, we are going to be stuck with 12 12 + + , in order for them to gain one body. Not this year though, probably starting in 2013/2014. This means that we will probably lose our ability to control our TV/media contracts as well.
  7. RANGERS Football Club today received notification of the SFA Arbitration Panel’s decision which ruled that the Club did not inherit the right to continue the arbitration process started by oldco. This was always a possible outcome of what was purely a procedural hearing. Suspecting this would be the outcome, the Club had already filed a further Notice to Refer under SFA Article 99. This was done before the end of last year and that process will now continue. The Club had argued that since oldco’s registration had been transferred to newco the right to continue the case would also have transferred. Nothing has been won or lost at this stage and the Club will continue with its action. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headli...tion-statement You would think that since the SFA ruled, as part of the five-way agreement required to gain re-entry to the SFL3, that if the newco had to pay the oldco footballing debts then it should be able to recover its footballing losses.
  8. http://vanguardbears.co.uk/ National Newspaper Editor Revealed Written by Admin Sunday, 27 January 2013 19:50 Vanguard Bears understands the unnamed newspaper editor, mentioned by James Traynor in his excellent statement released earlier today, is none other than Rangers hater Allan Rennie, pictured below. Mr Rennie has been pushing his own agenda for his newspaper, The Daily Record, for quite some time where previously he ordered the Anthony Stokes Real IRA disgrace to be removed from the front page in favour of a negative story regarding Rangers, as exclusively revealed by VB here: http://www.vanguardbears.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=312:journalistic-integrity Mr Rennie may well be pondering over his natural reaction when he shrieked "It's a f*cking Government conspiracy" when hearing of the EBT result returning in favour of Rangers, and it could be suggested that holding his head in his hands after learning Rangers had won the Tax Case may be nothing more than a nasty migraine? We're sure Rangers supporters can make up their own minds whether or not to fund this haters newspaper. Sorry, didn't see your post Zappa.
  9. I think McMillan was asked for a quote and as a representative of a major supporter's group he gave a responsible answer. Cast your mind back to Charles Green's statement when he backed the supporters boycott, he said that this game had the threat for trouble. McMillan is using the same approach. He is playing the DU organization at their own game. He has set the ball firmly at their feet, and if anything happens then it is wholely their responsibility. This is an organization and a support who attempted to destroy Rangers. I think they have forfeited any chance of our support, or organization, taking them as a friendly group. There is a time for friendly banter and humour and there is a time to protect yourself. I think I would rather wait until I have seen some contrition for their previous actions and perhaps a friendly hand extended from them before I would even think of trusting them. Of course this thing with the masks is a nonsense, but should the SFA/SPL wish to take any action in the event of trouble, both our club and supporter representatives have done as much as they can to prevent this from happening. I agree most fans want to go to a match and just enjoy the footbal and the atmosphere, but as Charles said - things are still a bit too raw.
  10. I don't remember exactly now. I feel it could be in the 7-10 M pound region.
  11. He has loaned them money on which they pay him the interest, without ever paying off the principle.
  12. If they can find a way to get a share flotation to fly. They are absolutely astounded at the reaction in the City to Rangers share launch. Lawwell and Riley most likely thought that we had been beaten down so badly that it would take us ten years to garner enough economic power to build a challenging team. They never seen Charles and his team coming, and they are unbalanced by his team's ability to regroup so quickly. Why do you think Dermot Desmond came out a few months back with his little speech about how we were a great team with a great history? It wasn't for our benefit, but more to show the City that he could accept 'business is business'. They won't invest with a sore loser. Also as Leggo says Desmond has an iron-grip at Celtic and why would anyone want to invest if they couldn't shake that power of his loose? Remember he has Celtic paying him for a multi-million pound loan in perpetua, why would he give that up? Some dilemma for the bhoy cabal. I love Leggos last sentence - " There may also be a fear within Parkhead that the new Rangers regime have big plans for further investment and expansion when the club returns to the top flight." No Surrender, Charles.
  13. I meant the question to be rhetorical, but I won't be going either.
  14. Their cry is "No Surrender", irrespective. What are you going to do?
  15. Very much agree. To destroy a culture, you must first destroy its institutions. They failed. Indeed, they succeeded only in restoring our vigilance.

  17. Well done Union Bears, good move. Better to accede to these intimidating threats of arrest rather than break the law. As a matter of interest, what law would you be breaking - unlawful assembly without a permit, perhaps?
