Have no idea who the player involved is but his club will be loaning him out believing he will return as an improved player. To me, that is a significant contrast to the situation at our club in the recent past. Very few of our younger guys improved and the decision to sign the likes of Foster, Simonsen etc. indicated that our management didn't expect them to improve sufficiently to hold down a first team place.

John has pointed out Andy's age and like many of us in the same age bracket,he will have suffered bad times and disappointments but has always remained loyal to our club. On a personal note, I find it really encouraging that in spite of being slightly older than Andy Cameron, Gersnet list me as being in their "youth team". I know that many of us found Ally's youth policy to be confusing but maybe he was influenced by this forum.

What an excellent article by D'Art. The biggest hurdle we face is impatience.

The BBC have suggested that CM speaks to match delegates at the matches he is reporting on. Shouldn't be too difficult for the SPFL to ask their delegates at other matches covered by McLaughlin if they recall his speaking to them. If he didn't they might want to suggest to the BBC that their reporter might not be as innocent as they would like to think.

Craig Houston pointed out the decision not to broadcast the game on Friday deprived licence paying St Mirren supporters of the opportunity to follow the progress of their team. The response was at best, unconvincing. Overall, I felt that Craig Houston did very well and enjoyed some support from Richard Wilson.

Apologies for introducing a lighthearted observation into a serious issue. At the game yesterday I spotted a very young boy who seemed so pleased to be given the chance to watch Rangers. His dad had kitted his son out in a Rangers shirt and both father and son appeared quite proud. The wee fellow turned around and printed on the back of his shirt was the name SPIERS. Perhaps, it would have been more suitable for the lad's Christian name to be used. Anyway, I hope that the presence of this SPIERS at Ibrox will be seen for many years.

Of course, Spiers will continue in the way, he has for long enough. However, this action could have a negative impact on his employment options, which seem to be already diminishing. Like others, I have found myself irritated by much of what this conceited individual comes out with. However, I have never been convinced that he carries the level of influence that he, himself believes he has and possibly some Rangers supporters, believe he has. I wouldn't be surprised if a number of his fellow journalists were quite pleased at the news, as he comes across as a pain in the neck most of the time.

It would be more than disappointing if our new managing director didn't demand an explanation from Doncaster. If the match delegate did reveal what was going to be in his report to McLaughlin that is a breach of confidentiality and his position needs to be reviewed. However, if he didn't, McLaughlin has seriously damaged his reputation and Doncaster has no option to ask the BBC what they are going to do with a guy who doesn't feel that the truth is important (especially when it is harmful to Rangers).

Felt a bit like that when we lost our best player to Brentford. I suppose the main distinction is that Scott Allan can move for free.

I appreciate the time taken to provide some background to this individual called Phil. At first, I thought that I might be naive not to know of him but now I feel glad that I had no knowledge of the guy. He is obviously a despicable individual. I must confess to still being puzzled at devoting time and space to someone like him. Does he really carry much influence outside of people who are as unpleasant as he seems to be?

D'Artagan always writes well and his articles seem meaningful. I may be a remote individual or a voice in the wilderness but I genuinely haven't a clue who this bloke Phil is and I suspect that many if not nearly all Rangers people will know he is either. So, it would be helpful if D'Artagan and/or others could explain why this character is viewed as being so damaging?

The Motherwell players may well have not been better than ours but they certainly looked to be both fitter and faster.

It is unlikely that MW will yet know what players will make up his strongest team when the Hibs game gets played. We may not win at Easter Road but the manager will probably learn more than if we had been drawn against a lesser team at Ibrox.

Can well understand where you are coming from and share your contempt for the people concerned. It is by no means confined to representatives of the broadcast media. However, I am not sure that banning them from Ibrox would be any deterrent, as they would just continue what they are already doing. It may be the easy option but I have found myself being recruited to the "no one likes us, we don't care" brigade.

I suppose with all that has happened in recent years, the support have found much to be critical about. However, the lack of patience and the the continuing fault finding, is disappointing. The present custodians of our club seem both decent and capable and impress me that they are doing their best to try and correct a very bad situation.

Maybe I am just being a bit dim but I struggle to understand why a guy like Ashley with his wealth and numerous other interests, considers it worthwhile involving himself with Rangers and the hassle. Suppose he might consider the hassle and conflict to be a source of amusement.

Getting decent replacements that are affordable might be harder than you think. For example, a good central defender should be a priority. Right now, I can't come up with a suitable player who is within our price range.

You are right it would be a dream come true but I would fancy that tying Ashley in with fraud might prove to be more difficult than us winning promotion this year. By the way, I am not optimistic about our achieving promotion.

Glad that you are looking forward to the play-offs Hildy. I wish I had your optimistic spirit. In contrast, I am just looking forward to a nightmare of a season, coming to an end.

Can understand the reservations expressed about Stuart McCall but I am far from convinced that managers with a proven track record will be all that keen in managing Rangers right now. Sure, guys like Billy Davies and others who are out of work would jump at the chance to come to Ibrox but I am genuinely struggling to come up with a name who was an obvious choice. The name of Derek McInnes has been banded about but would this be the right decision for him to leave Aberdeen for Rangers?

The new board members are surely entitled to be shown some patience.

Am I the only one who is getting fed up with the negativity being displayed. The new board have only been in office for a very short time. They have acted quickly in hiring a bloke as manager who is almost certain to be an improvement on our previous two managers and yet some posters are moaning and groaning. Perhaps we were so used to deservedly find fault with the previous board that we have allowed ourselves to get into the habit of looking for things to gripe about. Good luck to our new board members and to Stuart McCall they are surely entitled to a bit of patience.

Must confess to being relieved that Chris Graham is on the board. When I first heard that CG was joining the board I thought that Charles Green was on the way back.
