    So Neil doesn't know why he has been snubbed by England. The very fact that he is not able to work out the reasons is in itself, probably the main reason, why no decent English club would think of considering him.

    Don't know too much about Shaun Hutchison but really hope that Ally sees central defence as a priority for strengthening. Jig and Moshni have done all right agains the opposition of this season but we need more pace at the back. No one knows if we can afford to bring in new blokes and this seems the ideal time to let Gasporotto and Halkett have a few games, not necessarily together, to see what they can do.

    The end result might not be particularly attractive but here is a question. Would you swap Stephen Thompson for David Somers?

    David Weir is currently employed at Brentford. But totally agree that he would be an excellent choice for a defensive coach role.

    Frankie is correct in advising caution but I guess that not many would find it easy to find a suitable word of commendation for Sandy Easdale.

    This shouldn't be an issue. OK the opposition hasn't been great but if any team wins their league they are entitled to receive plaudits. Suspect that few of us are in any way surprised that Rangers will be viewed differently.

    Over two weeks now since Neil suggested that Craig Thomson had been responsible for Celtic losing at Aberdeen. Could it be that Mr Lunny has been absent from his desk and that is why that no action has been raised against Neil. Or is is it possible that a more likely reason for this to be overlooked is that. Vincent agrees with Neil's opinion?

    Perhaps that is in itself part of the problem. They prefer Ally's approach to some other manager who would be mor ruthless and demanding.

    You are right SteveC your stats. do make grim reading. While I have reservations over Ally's capabilities as a team manager, in at least some of the games that you have listed, the poor results were down to bad mistakes by the players on the park.

    There is a growing number of supporters while appreciating Ally's contribution to the club, who now feel that he isn't up to it, as team manager. Our board , while unpopular might just seize the opportunity to try and win favour with the fans by ditching Ally. They can hardly do this right on the back of winning the league or before the Ramsden final but with season ticket sales in mind, It wouldn't shock me if it happened just as the season was ending. No one respects Ally McCoist more than I do but I would need some convincing that managing a football team is amongst his highest qualities.

    While I agree that "we should go after our enemies when needed" just what Rangers benefited by Green's belligerent approach to Regan, Doncaster etc. escapes me. From what I recall CG made plenty of noise but achieved little.

    You could well be right GS. The investor group might not care all that much about the welfare of Rangers but it is likely that they will have a concern over the capabilities of those currently in leadership positions and to protect their interests will be prepared to back moves that will lead to changes.

    Just can't figure out why he believes it was helpful for him to get involved in interviews ahead of his meeting with the board.

    Is it too simplistic to invite Laxey to withdraw their loan arrangement, in favour of alternative sources, who are prepared to offer a better deal? If Mr Crichton sees his main priority as doing what is in the best interests of the club, as he should as a member of the board, he should be making overtures to his friends at Laxey.

    So they are concerned about what Mr King has said. It would have been helpful if they had shown concern when supporters expressed disapproval at the way the club's income was used.

    Not totally convinced either but it seems reasonable to take time to think things through. A big hurdle for most Rangers people is that with all that we have been through, there is understandably, a tendency to be suspicious of everything

    "Or whoever, indeed, is running the SPFL." Can't think that Ally has anyone else in mind.

    Off the top of my head, I can't think of too many who became really successful managers of the clubs that they played for. Dalgliish did OK at Liverpool first time around but wasn't much use in his second spell. Mowbray was hopeless both at Celtic then Middlesborough. Like others, I have reservations over Ally's capabilities as a team manager but the level of criticism that is being directed at him, given our record this season seems very harsh.

    There is a tendency to forget that even the Rangers manager has a life outside of football. If Ally is being smeared and he feels that there are people on the board actively working against him, who can blame him, if he no longer wants to operate in an unhelpful environment?

    While I share the reservations over Ally's team management abilities I just can't believe that any decent fan would accept Ally being displaced while Stockbridge and Irvine are still around. Agree that it looks like the process of discrediting Ally is underway. Not enjoying being a Rangers supporter these days.

    Some have said that they are willing to give Wallace time. Know what they mean but, in truth, the supporters have little influence on how the CEO goes about his work. He is answerable to the board and he will require to follow their directives. Can't say that this causes me to feel comfortable, considering the motives of some of our board members, but that's the way it is.

    Wallace's failure to speak direct to the players displays a serious lack of leadership. If you are asking the players to consider a significant wage reduction, that is not something that you should put forward in isolation. He has an obligation to share and explain other elements of any cost cutting programme. Hardly surprising that response from the players was negative.
