I wouldn't begrudge him if he wanted to move on, but if we are just cashing in when he's happy to stay, it's nothing short of a disgrace. Kinda sums up the short-term strategy that's currently in place. We won't get a player of his level for less than £3m, in the future. It's the dead weight we need rid of, not one of the few internationals we now have. Hopefully just paper shite.

Ally comments from Sky Sports..................
TheTinMan99 replied to SteveC's topic in Rangers Chat
To be fair, so did most of us at some point. He messed up at the end, but he also brought us some great years. I'm not convinced he had much say in the sale to Whyte. I don't think he deliberately tried to fuck us over.- 12 replies

I'd love to see the interviewing process. Wallace; How much bonus would you require, before you inevitably leave in shame? Applicant; Plenty.... Wallace; When can you start?
-
What's the jist of that article, for those of us without binoculars?
-
Strange business. Why return a bonus if a pumping was in the pipeline? Surely you would just say fuck it, I'm keeping it? Was it a shock to Stockbridge? Has the puppet master thrown him under the bus? While it's very welcome he's finally gone, I'll hold fire on the wild celebrations. It's still another paid-up contract we can ill-afford, and if he's replaced from 'within', I doubt much will change. Saying all that, good luck to him, and I sincerely hope his next shite's a hedgehog.

The Manager and the team this season - an objective view.
TheTinMan99 replied to a topic in Rangers Chat
Kinda lost interest when you said Daly was part of the spine of the team. The guys playing like he's hardly got a spine of his own. Ally can never be judged against former managers, because it's doubtful he will ever receive the same financial backing as our previous managers. He's done the minimum required to get us out these leagues, but to be honest, your average forum poster wouldn't have done a much worse job. His record in cups is beyond awful, so that's a definite black mark against him. The jury's still out, and will probably remain so until he gets pumped for not winning the top division in two seasons. His negative tactics away from home against utter shite, leave a lot to be desired also. Playing one up front against part-time players, especially when that one is fucking Daly, is shitebaggery of the highest order. Edit, apologies for the language, but Daly being persisted with is really grinding my gears.- 25 replies

Showing my age a bit. Can remember it like it was yesterday. Hateley, Bomber and Ally, forever legends for those 2 games alone. Sad what's happened to both us, and Leeds since.
-
Scary to think it wasn't so long ago we were pumping the champions of England. Now we are talking about us being a league 2 side. The power of Sky. Bastards.

Tom English interviews Rangers CEO Graham Wallace
TheTinMan99 replied to Steve1872's topic in Rangers Chat
The chain, is as yet, still unbroken from Whyte. Not saying he is now pulling any strings, but the links remain. There are individual/s still keeping Stockbridge on the coal face. Who they are is anybodies guess. A good starting point might be the investors who prefer to remain anonymous, but who seem to wield more power than their actual shareholding would suggest.- 56 replies

Tom English interviews Rangers CEO Graham Wallace
TheTinMan99 replied to Steve1872's topic in Rangers Chat
Wrong thread I think mate. I'm slagging the board in this one, not the team Are you not still haunted by the DU debacle of last year? Do you think we have moved on significantly from that standard?- 56 replies

Tom English interviews Rangers CEO Graham Wallace
TheTinMan99 replied to Steve1872's topic in Rangers Chat
The damage has already been done. Wallace is trying to put out an inferno with a skoosh gun. If we want to be to anything like the major power we once were, we need major private investment. The club isn't currently set up to receive this, hence the likes of King not being involved. I said so at the time, and I stand by it. Green and co have damaged the club for a decade, when it was our best chance in a generation to get the club running as a successful, financially well run outfit. Under this present model, we will not win the top division, or get anywhere near the CL. That's the reality of the situation.- 56 replies

Aye, and look how great it's going. She wasn't all bad for Britain, as a whole, but she treated Scotland like a piece of shite on her shoe. Much the same as most tory politicians.

Nup, try again. Don't be ashamed to admit you're a tory. It just gives you a weak starting point when it comes to a discussion about politics in Scotland.

Considering STB is a fan of the milk snatcher, I wouldn't put too much value in his opinion on what's best for Scotland. No offence mate.

Professional, modern football is about many things. The actual 'football', is way down the list. Politics, religion, money, tribalism, family upbringing, all seem to be a more important factor in the team that most people follow. As I grow more philosophical with age, I even find myself questioning why I support us. The answers I find are not always totally comfortable to think about. The most depressing thing about Scottish football in general, is it's petty, tit-for-tat nature of it's two biggest clubs. It's a mutual obsession in the pursuit to feel superior to what are essentially our neighbours. Human nature at it's worst, I suppose.

Easdale brothers to plough £20m into Rangers

Stopped clock syndrome. Nothing to see here.- 74 replies

You could say the same about 75% of our current squad. Clark isn't the first I would be getting shot of. He's probably on half the poke of that lump Daly for a start.

Ian Hart - People are causing alarm. Rangers will go forward
TheTinMan99 replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
Only they know that, but at least they are all singing from the same hymn sheet. It's the greedy players fault for taking what's in their contracts. The damage this is doing to our reputation is almost irreparable, when it comes to attracting quality players. The percentage of turnover spent on players is way below what it will soon need to be, so this cost cutting makes zero sense to me.- 27 replies

Ian Hart - People are causing alarm. Rangers will go forward
TheTinMan99 replied to der Berliner's topic in Rangers Chat
The people causing the most alarm are the constant stream of comedians masquerading as directors. His defence of Green and Stockbridge is sickening. He's got plenty to say about our players earning too much for playing at this low level, but nothing to say about the board filling their manky pockets? Very good. He's right about one thing, Charles did have a vision, a vision of pumping us rotten, and leaving us with a dysfunctional clusterfuck. In that respect, his plan worked beautifully.- 27 replies

lol, nobody knows.

Believe it, because it's true. When he says 'unknown', he means unknown by the support. Elements of the board know. It was all in the accounts. Edit, just read your post properly. Crossed wires I think. We have an unknown credit line, not unknown creditors, yet.

Give it a month or two. The well is almost dry.
