  1. Welcome back. At least it's been a quiet week and we haven't missed much on the Rangers front.
  2. Who knows more about managing Rangers? You, or Walter? You do him a disservice as a man, if you think a friendship would cloud his judgement on this. I'll judge Ally when he gets the chance to concentrate on football matters, and a proper budget. Much the same as what Walter said. I'm no Ally fanboi, but he doesn't deserve to lose his job, not yet.
  3. You seriously think Walter puts his friendship with Ally above the good of the club? Ridiculous.
  4. Did you not read what he said about Ally? I trust Walters judgement on football matters, way before i listen to few hundred numpties on the internet.
  5. No doubt, but it's not difficult to read between the lines. They need to go, and he's asking for our help.
  6. Sake', what a circus. Traynor might not have said that, but I don't think it's far from the truth, hopefully.
  7. Putting money into the club at the moment is the equivalent of feeding your pet dog that has contacted rabies. I personally haven't put a penny into Rangers since Green walked through the door, and I'm not even ashamed to say it. Saying that, I would never dream of telling a fellow supporter what to do. When we finally rid the club of vultures like Green, that's the day I can financially support the club again. I'd like to see a few token supporters test this possible refund of season books. Just to see the reaction they get.
  8. None of the things you list gives us that much of an advantage in a one off cup game. It helps us win the league no doubt, but we just don't have the required quality to make cup games a formality. Carry on blaming Ally for that if it makes you feel better.
  9. I doubt a manager on 10k would have better management skills, no matter what your thoughts on Ally are. I do agree, he is grossly overpaid, but that's hardly his fault. If we sack him, we still have to pay his contract up, or agree compensation. That's on top of the 10k for the new manager that you've found us, who would put up with the shite that Ally does.
  10. It's amazing how people think if you pay someone 5k a week you can develop some super human level of fitness. Our players "edge" should come in terms of football ability. Sadly we just don't have enough real quality to horse even part time teams every week. If people think that's Ally's fault, then they should start making up the banners. The reality is, the gap between a 2/5k a week player, and a part time player, isn't that great. We win leagues because of our greater strength in depth, whilst other teams best players get injured, and they don't have decent quality replacements. Much the same as it was in the old spl. This might go some way to explaining why we are so shite in cups. The other teams just have a little bit more hunger, often the difference in cup games. Again, difficult to lay that at Ally's door.
  11. If it's enjoyment and entertainment you're after, I'd suggest you come back in 5 years or so.
  12. The only person trying to distract us from the reality, is your hero, Mr Green.
  13. And 9/10 we scud them. You want him to have a 100% record? You don't live in the real world if you do.
  14. I'm not totally convinced about Ally either as a manager, but the circumstances he is asked to work in are nothing short of a disgrace, for a Rangers manager. Eight of his most recent signings sat in the stand, shopping in the "free transfer" market only, complete and utter shambles at boardroom level. I'll judge Ally when he get's a transfer budget that befits a Rangers manager and our level of support. We are being conned, of that I have no doubt, but it's not by Ally, or the players. What we saw post-match today from Ally should be a wake up call to us all. He's had enough, and he's finally had the balls to say it. There isn't a manager in the land that I would rather have at the helm, at the moment.
  15. You'll understand how there isn't a great deal of difference between our team, and part timers playing like their life depended on it. The fact that some of our staff may, or may not be millionaires, doesn't count for much in a game of football. That team we had out today isn't very good, we can all agree on that. Why is it such a shock when they get turned over, and why does Ally have to shoulder the majority of the blame for it? You try doing your job with one hand tied behind your back and let us know how you get on.
  16. Your post tells me you know virtually nothing about football, or indeed the conditions that Ally and his players are performing under.
  17. Today was hardly "Ally's team. He had 8 of his better players unable to play today through no fault of his own. He must be working under the hardest conditions of any Rangers manager in modern times. Besides, 24k isn't bad for a midweek friendly.
  18. Exactly. What manager worth his salt would touch us with a bargepole at the moment? An outsider would last about 5 games before he got lynched for not winning every game 4-0. The last thing we need is puppet appointed by green and co. Our support should be careful what they wish for.
  19. I personally think the timing was perfect. He couldn't have picked a better time to get his message across to the majority of our support. What we choose to do with his message will probably decide the future of the whole club. Ally isn't stupid or generally impulsive. I'm sure this was discussed at length with Walter before we even played today.
  20. I understand your point, but I actually got some new found respect for Ally today. Too often he sits on the fence, and doesn't tell us what he really thinks. Now there can be no doubt about his feelings for green. If that causes a little bad press, then it's a small price to pay. They would have wrote their usual pish anyway. Whatever people think about Ally as manager, we have to back him in this battle with green. If we don't, I dread to think what the future holds.
  21. Despite not being Ally's biggest fan as manager, I 100% back him in what he said today. Green is a cancer that needs cut out of our club. Total scumbag of a man.
