  1. You originally stated that it was a realistic ambition to win the quadruple. In the sixty-six years that the treble has been available, it has been done ten times, seven of them by Rangers. That would say that even with the best of sides, it is realistic once in every ten years. There is a huge difference between an aim at the start of a season and what is realistically achievable by the end of it.

Include Celtic as i was talking about them too as a club with similar budgets and ambition at the time to ours, 10 trebles out of 66 possibles is pretty decent tbh between both clubs. Winning the quadruple was and is a realistic ambition, not expectation, of Rangers in the lower leagues with the second highest budget in the country and nothing anyone says will change that. It's what we should have been and probably would have been aiming for before a ball was kicked in our 3 years down in the lower leagues. I doubt anyone would have expected us to actually do it. As a club with a winning tradition we should always be aiming for the stars and for success on every level whether it is realistic or not. We are not a club who make up numbers. Or rather, we didn't used to be.

  2. Also the domestic treble is Rangers and Celtics aim every single season that goes without saying, to deny it is just fucking embarrassing for yourself, arguing for arguing sake. Every manager we had went out to win the treble, every single year. Our club demanded that.

  3. You must me having a laugh.

Why would the club with the second highest budget in the country not be expected to challenge for all domestic honours? Of course we enter every cup, league and tournament to win it. Otherwise why bother.

  4. That wasnt for me Mike was it? Not sure it applies to my wee post above.

A realistic ambition of the current Rangers is a domestic quadruple. We may very well end up with nothing.

The expectation should be to win the double whilst developing the first 11 in preparation for the SPFL.

  5. can't disagree with that. can't see what it has to do with dave king mind you.

we do however need to be owned by people who want the best for rangers and that almost certainly means fans. certainly not ****s and hedge funds.

Imagining our lot with the keys to Ibrox is a horrifying thought. We couldn't run a bath!

  6. we have no idea how much of it is board related. but the non renewals can largely be blamed on the board. the season ticket holders not going now probably ally. so 50/50 seems right.

i was there at the last game of last season as the easdales were booed. you know fine well bringing in a new manager will not fill ibrox. nor will it stop us going bust. it would simply reduce this seasons deficit to 8 million again instead of 14 probably.

50/50 is your guess. My guess is far more don't go because of the football, with them being football fans. Most fans on the street don't have a clue about board activities. Many are using the board as an excuse too because they don't want to blame Ally.

The Sleazedales are scumbags, they are 2, better watch what i am saying here as i don't want banned for bad mouthing anyone, idiots out of their depth within our club and they do need removed.

All depends who the manager is. The right man could very well fill the ground.

  7. jose won't get us up if we go bust this month.

There wouldn't be a danger of going bust if the stadium was rocking full right behind a manager and team they could buy into and believe in. Ally and his disgusting brand of non-football have caused this wee crisis we now face.

  8. But you see, it's not his beer, it's the beer of those above him.....and you were most vocal against those who stopped buying 'beer' from Green, Easdale and co.

Don't you find that to be rather, how should we say, inconsistent?

Not at all, in fact i find it completely separate and different in just about every way.

  9. My point is it wasn't Ally that gave himself the contract, and if he is due money then he should get it.

PLG was due money and refused it. A man with absolutely no feeling for or affiliation of this club. Ally is showing himself up here for the type of man he is. And it's not a nice one. And folk called the likes of Lafferty, Whittaker and Naismtih traitors for actually doing us a favour and saving us millions!

  10. There is insufficient money in the bank to take the club to January never mind May, so the immediate risk to our future is not what Mccoist and his team are doing on the pitch.

Your post-McCoist world of lollipops and rainbows sounds just marvellous. Can we all come?

The immediate risk was very much McCoistco and our league title battle, this evening which now looks over. Another season in the 2nd tier? May kill us once and for all. Some man that Super Ally guy.

    You can't no.

  11. I know it won't go into the club, none of the money raised so far has gone into the club, why do you think that will change?

Have we not been paying players wages? Electricity bills? Gas bills? Our phone bill? Tax liabilities? Ticket office staff? Administrative staff? Coaches? Paying for Auchenhowie to open every day? Groundsmen to cut and maintain our grass? Did we not spend almost £1m on David Templeton? Is Ally working for nothing? Do we get free coach rides across the country to matches? This is getting silly.

  12. I know that is aimed at me, but all you are concerned about is the manager and team, for me there is a lot more to worry about, which I've told you before.

Not specifically at you Ian no it wasn't but people like yourself who would rather moan and worry about the men in suits in the directors box than the people who actually provide your entertainment/lack of. We are football fans.

  13. Do you honestly think if we get a decent manager in with a good team everything is ok for the future?

Not everything no but we could still win the league and there will be a far better atmosphere about the place and more money coming into the club with far bigger crowds. Listen Ian, the board is a problem, of course it is, they have failed us by not removing Ally sooner but we are where we are. Right now, the manager is doing more harm than anyone and needs removed as a matter of urgency. He is risking our very future even more so than the board by gambling with out promotion chances. This 2nd division should never have been in doubt, to be 12 points behind Hearts before Xmas is simply unacceptable on every level.

  14. Is that ur best response? Too focused on the board. Just like Graham,Houstoun and Dingwall. As I said earlier I hope tonight was a long overdue wake up call. McCoist has to go first and foremost

Let's be honest Rab, it's easier than being honest about a club legend for some, isn't it? A handy excuse not to look at the manager.

  15. I believe too many fans are being distracted by poor performances and results,as bad as they are, opposed to where we are heading as a club, where are we going as a club?,is admin2 just around the corner?,what business structure is in place for our continued recovery?.

    Jesus Christ. Je-sus Christ.

  16. The board(S.P.I.V.S.) have total control over everything, why does the board not sack Ally?

The club cannot afford it. Ashleys loan runs out in a matter of weeks and you want us to use the money to pay this Rangers man and his pals who are also Rangers men off now so we run out quicker? Is this what you want?

  17. i think some people need to realise we require 8 to 14 million quid worth of cuts.

replacing ally is a must but lets not pretend that that will do anything other than make us second best if we are lucky.

Some people also need to realise that we are not as big as they think we are. We are not big enough and do not make enough money to compete with Celtic, looking at both clubs accounts, that is just a fact. You can moan on here about demanding this and that and expecting to be 1st place but it's simply unrealistic and no amount of Dave Kings rand will change that either. We are years off even thinking about competing with Celtic. Years, at least. They have everything in place, we have nothing, absolutely nothing.

As for 2nd place in this league, right now, to expect 1st place is also as unrealistic should we go 12 behind tmrw, the league will be all but done and out of our hands.

Both scenarios are simply a case of the damage already being done.

  18. he's being paid to beat part time dross handsomely and steer us back to the top with room to spare.

we will be 12 points behind hearts by tomorrow night

the narrative quite clearly is being altered by the defenders of his absolute dereliction of duty into "just get us up " by any means necessary.

This is what makes me sick. That isn't Rangers. It was the same shite we got in 2012, going for all trophies and with each cup knock out the targets were lowered to eventually the only one left which was a gimme anyway. It's f*cking embarrassing.
