  1. Here's my tuppence worth, I thought, especially in the first half, when we decided to keep it on the deck, we were knocking it about nicely. Movement was good, passing was crisp, Black and Hutton seemed to running the show, We had Brechin doing nothing but chasing.

Then, for some inexplicable reason, we started to punt the ball. By-passing the midfield, we lost control and our direction. Brechin's players suddenly found a bit confidence and started to play some half decent football further up the park.

That was pretty much the theme for the rest of the game, we showed in patches that we tried to get back to playing the passing game, but by that time, Brechin were much more comfortable and pressing us all over the pitch, and at times looked dangerous on the break.

The goal was a defensive nightmare. Powder puff defending from the insanely slow Goian and for Alexander to get beat at his front post from that angle was criminal.

As for the young guys, I think they at least showed there's talent there. With more game time, I think they'll make a decent contribution as we hopefully go through the divisions.

Plus points, 120 mins of fitness and a win.....WATR.

  2. Maybe, but I think we'll be better prepared for the next battle.

[We walked into their ambush with our eyes firmly shut, but by fook they're wide open now./]

I agree. I personally think they've shown their hand. Although I was annoyed that we've accepted the embargo, I'm relatively pleased with the outcome. Not folding on the EBT issue was key. That was their ace card, and it tells me they've taken their best shot and they're option to re-visit the issue was to save face.

  3. If it is the case that CG has stood firm on the EBT issue, hopefully this'll put it the mind of the SFA/SPL that, although we're prepared to come and go on other issues, we will not let them walk all over us whenever and with whatever alleged infraction they please.

  4. Given that we've had virtually no pre-season(games)I think Ally will want to get the players he intends to get us through the season with, up to speed as quick as possible.

How good is it, talking about team selections again? WATR.

  5. Is it possible CG knows they have nothing concrete in regards to the EBTs? By allowing(bluffing)them to re-visit the issue later on, but agreeing on all other points, thus attaining our membership, has CG done a number on them?

Or am I just clutching at straws? Only time will tell I suppose. WATR.

  6. Just to add to that, Doncaster and Lawell want Green to own the oldco's SPL membership. Green refuses to accept it and D&P are refusing to hand it over to Green.

Again, it could be bollocks, it could be true!

Excuse my ignorance but, does this mean if CG owns oldco, they'll want us back in SPL now? Therefore.....SAVING THEIR ARSES.

If my understanding is correct, surely this puts us in an incredibley strong position? My apologies if i'm way off the mark.

  7. Do you actually have a real point to make or just throwing the toys out of the pram?

In what way am I being bigotted? The use of "Timmy"? You really ARE falling hook, line and sinker for their propaganda.

Instead of just labelling people as blinkered perhaps you could give your immensely open viewed response...

Sorry Calscot, don't want to get in the middle of anything, but what irks me is the level of apathy shown by some Gers fans in regards to the EBT situation. This 'we must've done something wrong, so let's accept the cosequencies and get on with it' is astounding.

I hope for our sake, CG isn't of the same mind. I don't think some Bears realise what an insanely dangerous precident it would set if we were to give in to these tyrants, on the EBT issue.

Whatever amount of dignity we have left after this whole sorry episode, would be IMHO, lost, if we were to simply give in to this treacherous witch hunt.

It won't please some Bears but, unfortunately, it's not just football that's at stake here.

  8. I used to follow some ex Rangers players careers when they left us, hoping they would have a decent time of it. Now, and maybe I'm being a bit petty and trivial, but I couldn't give a toss about any of these players who've moved on during this nightmare.

Some will fight their corner for them and that's fair enough, but IMO, it was a time to be selfless, brave and show respect for the club and fans that made the majority of them the rich, multiple medal winning international players that they are.

A good luck wish to them??? Not from me.

  9. he not zidane or gazza ffs, sell shirts lol

You'd be amazed at the amount of Gers fans that would love to have Savage on the back of their shirts.

If he was to come to us and play for free, he would be considered a hero, by many.

  10. Let's agree to strip our titles if they agree to strip Celtic of their 9 in a row, their European Cup and fine them £39m for covering up child abuse. See how they squeal.

Oh God, how I'd love to see that headline in the Scottish tabloids......We can only dream.

  11. Symptomatic, mate.

Systematic was by Five Star. System addict...never can get enough.

I hope for the sake of your dignity and your manhood that song isn't anywhere near your record/cd collection.

  12. One of my best mates is an East Fife man(our local team)and an avid member of the anti-Rangers brigade. He's been trying to work my ticket all day.

Hopefully I'll get through to the game with my eldest son(8), he's been nipping me to take him to Ibrox.

As for THE Rangers tag, I, like AS, prefer it. I've referred to us as The Rangers on many occassions in the past......The Rangers are gonna f**k you T*m C***s this weekend.......yeah, just like that. WATR.
