  1. I hope the RST get a new person on the board. I also hope that the board just appoint that person rather than, as some are calling for, put it to a vote.
  2. To be fair, a picture of the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and Jar-Jar is somewhat different to suggesting that ethnic cleansing is a solution to anything.
  3. If you want to circulate these claims then I think it would be a good idea to actually provide links to, or screenshots of, said behaviour. I don't follow his tweets closely enough to know if any of this is true. The part highlighted in bold would certainly be the opposite of what I have noticed him say about fans who continue to attend.
  4. Kinning Park, Cessnock and Ibrox have a serious litter problem. It is not the same as the rest of the town, it is worse. It is the result of a number of factors. Firstly the council has other priorities for our money. Secondly, and I've witnessed this to my horror, when the council actually pays people to pick up rubbish those people are not quite zealots. Thirdly, many of the people in these areas don't care about their surroundings. Finally on about 25 days out of 365 a large crowd of people arrive leading to overflowing litter bins and inevitably litter. The stuff about restaurants and retail is a load of rubbish. People will not go there on non match days partly because of what I mention above. I think you had better come to terms with the fact that Ibrox plays a part in the local economy. It provides a low cost area, with good transport links, for people to live in. Instead of coming up with silly ideas about turning Ibrox into a boom town we should, perhaps, just start up a team of volunteers to pick up litter on match days . . .
  5. :hv: I want us to sign Haris Vučkić
  6. This post is a load of rubbish. Most of the fans I speak to barely know who, uh, 'you know whos' [sic] is. Let alone care about any of the associated online drama. Your point about RST memberships is very silly indeed. Why would any public limited company endanger the main source of revenue in such a way? Gibberish.
  7. This post is a load of rubbish. One might think that your comments, about Letham/Dinnie feeling aggrieved, are a deliberate attempt to stir things up. You know that board appointments are not governed by democracy. You know that King, Murray and Gilligan have a considerable mandate from the shareholders. You also know that interested parties will have a chance to vote at the next Rangers AGM and the next RST AGM. Yet another thing that you know is that the fans who don't get involved with a share ownership scheme will find themselves without any representative that can be held accountable. Sort of the point of getting organised but, uh, you know this.
  8. That all makes sense to me. Part of the reason that I expected George Letham is that I couldn't quite believe that the RST and RF would be getting representation. The actual shareholding for both is still quite a low percentage and Letham's substantial shareholding would mean that he wouldn't just be representing a small percent. Hopefully any squabbles about who is appointed will be forgotten soon. We should all be thinking about the fact that these appointments are a drastic shift from what we imagined only three months ago. We now have fan representation on the board and we are just getting started in terms of our shareholding.
  9. You are only as good as your last five straight defeats . . .
  10. Although I'm happy enough with Chris Graham representing the RST, I'm a bit surprised. I thought it might be George Letham.
  11. Seriously though, I don't remember his previous spell ever being described as a 'temporary measure'. Can you point it out for us?
  12. Every managerial appointment is temporary.
  13. There are problems all over the pitch. I think that the real cause is the management although maybe we will be more forgiving if more information about the board comes out in future. Regardless of who is to blame Zaliukas's comments reveal the type of attitude that we shouldn't have anywhere near the team. I doubt he is the only one who thinks like this. The next manager will have a lot of work to do. Any benefit that the first team gained from previous success is long gone.
  14. I noticed this quoted on Twitter. It is Marius Zaliukas as quoted in the Record. Disappointing when I first read it. Seems to get worse the longer I think about it.
  15. The only thing to do, with both McCoist and McDowall, is to agree a payoff. Judging by recent comments the players find it difficult to take things seriously as it is. Imagine what it would be like if McCoist returned. I would tolerate McDowall for another three/four weeks if the board use that time to find a proper manager.
  16. I don't think that this will happen.
  17. The sooner a new man is appointed the better, if he is the correct candidate. If an appointment is rushed then we are more likely to end up with the wrong man.
  18. This has to be avoided. We need to come to an agreement about his contract and move him on.
  19. I've been quite pessimistic about it myself. Until tonight I have been thinking that we will not even make the playoffs. Then I looked into what would actually have to happen for that to become a reality.
  20. As I said, Falkirk will have to improve if we continue this form. During the current unbeaten streak Falkirk have taken 17 points from a possible 27. If that is continued until the end of the season then Falkirk will earn about 18-20 further points. With McDowall as manager we have taken 11 points from a possible 21. If that is continued until the end of the season then we will earn about 18-19 points. As poor as we are time is running out for Falkirk. We are already six points ahead of them. (Happy to be corrected on any of my numbers given the time of night that I'm writing this)
  21. Why does it need to be immediately rather than, for example, in four weeks time?
  22. Falkirk are six points behind us and we have two games in hand. If we continue playing as we have under McDowall Falkirk will need to improve before catching us. So I now expect to make the playoffs. There is also the possibility that we could get worse . . .
  23. Politics is about power. Ignore it if you like and then you can be a doormat.
  24. I don't ever read the Record so I don't care about it. Those who are upset should contemplate the following question: Who gets furthest in politics, those who compromise or those who refuse to?
