  1. I'm too lazy and busy to contribute plus I think everyone has enough of my ramblings as it is. I think a Gersnet podcast featuring me and DB could be quite entertaining though. Jokes apart, I will do a preview one of these days. We need to start playing decent football first though or it will be horrendously negative.
  2. Definitely wouldn't want a pay wall, but you could open yourself up to donations. For me, this is not just an extremely well run site with a good balance of members, but it's literally the only choice for a Rangers forum. We all know what the other ones are like. However, ads have been no issue until this recent occurrence, which is obviously a glitch.
  3. Will be surprised if Real don't win this. Liverpool need Salah.
  4. Honestly man, we should just ignore shit like this. He's a woman beating, mentally ill idiot.
  5. Jokanovic took them from 15th to the EPL, playing swashbuckling, elegant football. Wouldn't be adverse to him at Chelsea if Conte goes.
  6. Anyone got any bets on? I'm thinking Liverpool win and Salah any time gs.
  7. Sessegnon is some player. Him and Grealish are the best players on the park. Been impressed with this game today - didn't expect much.
  8. Villa fighting back. Been a pretty decent game this. Jack Grealish is awesome!
  9. Any side that plays football correctly gets my vote. Constant pass, pass, pass and positive play. Almost Barca-esque.
  10. Aside from Chelsea, I am not the biggest fan of English football at all, but I'll be backing them tonight. Football should be entertaining and adventurous - and Klopp delivers in spades.
  11. It isn't stupid at all, Liverpool are a typical Klopp side and devastating going forward on their day. Also, despite all their recent CL success, I honestly don't see this as a great Real Madrid side at all. They failed miserably domestically this season and I think they're benefiting from Europe's other elite clubs being poor recently in Europe. I'm also not entirely sure about Zidane. If he was across the city at Atletico would be working Simeone's miracles? I doubt it. When you've only coached Real Madrid, it's hard to quantify your ability, and finishing third in the league is extremely poor for Real. However, the gulf in quality between the two sides midfields, man for man, is enormous.
  12. Fulham looking really good. I don't watch much Championship football, but I can see why Jokanovic is being linked with Chelsea. Proper football side.
  13. It's definitely coming from Gersnet. On my iPhone I get no ads at all anywhere, apart from Gersnet over the past couple of days.
  14. ^ I'm the same but admin are looking into it.
  15. Would rather we got no ads and self funded. I would be happy to chip in.
  16. I'm pretty sure that's exactly what his role is. If he cannot defend us on a local radio show, how can he defend us on a global level? And again, I'm just looking at this objectively....there's only one person in this topic who's jumping in with an argument that isn't based on any logic.
  17. So why employ him in a role it sounds like he clearly isn't remotely fit to fill?
  18. Fair enough. I don't really have any issue with the very elite of any field raking it home though. It's when you hear the wages getting dished out to mediocrity in the EPL that I get annoyed :).
  19. Fair play to him. Iniesta is one of the greatest footballers of all time.
  20. I was going to raise this. When using my phone, I keep getting ad redirects. It's not topic specific. I'm using an iPhone X and never normally get issues like this.
  21. I never listen to Clyde but it's a long running theme on our forums that he's the biggest 'Uncle Tom' going.
  22. I said nothing that the entirety of Gersnet were not pretty much in complete agreement with prior to his appointment. When we were failing miserably with Murty, and after a string of appointments lacking decent experience, we were all calling for a more experienced manager - someone with a track record of success at a decent level. Of course all managers are risks, but appointing an untested rookie is obviously a much bigger one, particularly given we literally just did it and he was hopeless. A lot of our support are absolutely incapable of any objective thought.
  23. The Scottish media's reaction to this is perfectly understandable. A club on a long run of woeful managerial appointments appointing a guy with next to no managerial experience whatsoever is obviously a massive gamble, if not outright foolishness.
  24. Allardyce plays honking football, has never won a single trophy of significance and never will. Managing the mediocre EPL sides is his level, and referring back to my original point, he is probably the best in terms of the mediocre EPL manager merry go round. In the modern era we have seen defensive minded managers like Mourinho, Simeone, Conte etc being hugely successful and winning lots of trophies. Allardyce is no such manager. The end.
