  1. Again, nobody is saying we are going to sign 15 or 16 players. That is how far away we are from having a good enough Rangers side though. The vast majority of our squad are nowhere near good enough to wear the jersey.
  2. He's saying in an ideal world we would need 15 or 16 players. He also said it isn't going to happen. I don't see how anyone that's seen the recent old firm games can disagree with this assessment. I'm not convinced we are currently that much better than the side we had in the 4th tier.
  3. The only player in that list I'd be that bothered about keeping is McCrorie. Candeias has been good too, but he's more of a worker than the type of player you build your team around. This is backed up by the clubs he's played for. I would have included Morelos, but one goal in his last 9 suggests he is nowhere near the player we thought he was.
  4. Yes, you were obviously completely right. A player of his past playing as poorly as this in this league is embarrassing. Any half decent foreign internationalist should breeze this league.
  5. You tell me. We certainly don't have a team of superstars just waiting for the right manager to unearth their fantastic ability. The majority of our squad are effectively useless.
  6. Firstly, that guy is Stephen Craigan. I would have thought anyone with any interest in Scottish football would know who he is. Secondly, the tims have been schooling us all season without breaking sweat. Who in our team would get a game for theirs? Of course we need a new team. We're rotten.
  7. If he want to get anywhere near the tims next season we need pretty much a whole new team.
  8. And we should still be doing everything possible to get rid of these players. We have barely a handful of players I'd be remotely interested in keeping, none of whom I'd be bothered if we lost - perhaps McCrorie apart.
  9. I'm seeing some of our online support hoping we spend huge sums in the summer and reacting positively to talk of David Murray involvement. Jesus Christ .
  10. Bates might be thinking twice now...leaving a Steven Gerrard Rangers side for the second tier in Germany.
  11. What is there to ruin? We need to completely rebuild.
  12. There's literally no better feeling than us getting a late goal, regardless of how poor we're playing.
  13. On the bright side, we have a new manager and this current setup is at an end. Whether this change will be positive who knows, but it would be hard for it to get any worse.
  14. It's not an ideal world but we do need a whole new team. I'd say our current side is about mid table English third tier at best.
  15. You're right, Killie are not up to much at all, though that's to be expected. You could swap many of the players from both sides and be none the wiser.
  16. lol...I might be negative but I think I've been on point about most of the shit we've seen in recent years. And are you a fan of the US Office? I've been rewatching it recently:
  17. If Skrtel is a modicum of the player he was at Liverpool he would be a sensational signing. He would breeze through the league a la Boumsong, Frank De Boer, Cuellar, Berg etc style. Any decent EPL level player waltzes our league with their hands tied behind their back.
  18. Murty has displayed nothing whatsoever to me that he has anything to offer the world of coaching. We play in one of the worst leagues in Europe and he had the second highest resources. It's pretty clear to me he's another Big Eck, McCoist etc type that should just find another vocation entirely.
  19. Whilst I've been critical of going for another rookie, I can't contain some feeling of overwhelming optimism and satisfaction seeing Steven Gerrard wearing our colours. That said, as a Chelsea fan, it would be greater satisfaction seeing Lampard wearing them - and I have as much knowledge of his coaching capabilities as I do Gerrard's. At the end of the day though, I think the tide might be changing. Gerrard wouldn't be going near us without some sort of assurances that we have some sort of plan in place. He's a smart cookie. I think there's a 60% chance of this blowing up John Barnes style, and 40% it going spectacularly well. (I'm a few drinks deep and being optimistic here)
  20. 5 going on 10 nil is the gap.
  21. I think people should stop reading so much into Gerrard the player. If player quality immediately transcended into coaching quality, Ferdinand, Lampard and Gerrard would all be managing EPL clubs - instead of being in the BT Sport studio tonight. Which got me thinking, how many decent English internationalists from the last 30 years or so have gone on to make good managers? This has John Barnes all over it. That said, Scottish football is a low level, and it does not require Guardiola to get Rangers playing winning football.
