What happens when Forfar attack on the counter and we're left with one centre half with no pace? Is it so difficult to just play a logical formation against poor opposition like this eg 4-2-3-1 with 4 attacking players and two deeper midfielders or even just a 4-4-2? Here's a novel idea. Have the defenders play in defence, the midfielders play in midfield and the striker(s) play as striker. Ally doesn't have the tactical ability to deviate from that so why does he bother.

4-3-1-2 with a midfield three containing Mckay and Black playing on the right of it? I really think we could do a lot worse than follow 90% of the rest of football and just play a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. Or even a plain old flat 4-4-2. Ally certainly likes his out dated formations.

Not long after Green disappeared, there seemed to be a lull in the 8 tabloid stories a day of leaks and shitstorms. As soon as he is on the scene the whole thing starts again. I'm not exactly sure what there is to be positive about us going forward. We have a poor squad playing terrible football with abysmal tactics.
