  1. Wonderful, Andy, as usual! I'm 35 so don't remeber him bursting on the scene but I am old enough to remember the pictures of the tackle from he who shall remain unnamed. I am disappointed that it didn't work out for Ally and Ian but they were on a hiding to nothing as soon as SDM sold to the shyster and the current omnishambles unfurled. Merry Christmas Gersnetters!
  2. Why would it be closed on safety grounds? I've not been this season but have been going for 20-odd years and never saw anything needing urgent repair, certainly anything being unsafe anyway. (I do remember a bit of guttering hanging off last season but that is it.)
  3. I say it's almost a foregone conclusion that MP will be sold. The club is fractured, some would say beyond repair. These are the darkest days in the Club's history, I'd say we are in real danger of never recovering from this.
  4. Can someone tell me when it is please? I've not been to Ibrox this season but I will make special dispensation for Fernando and to see some of the games former greats.
  5. Absolutely heartbreaking watching that 10min video. First up was the fluency in the football, the class in midfield was excellent. Secondly, Mols' injury. Anyone who watched us that season and saw Mols' potency and the array of goals would vouch that we had a real find on our hands, sadly and its all a matter of opinion, I don't think he ever reached the same performance levels again. Lastly, will we ever see those nights again, when we could go to a top European side and outplay them in their own backyard? I doubt it and I doubt that we will ever recover from this omnishambles. We are in danger of losing a generation of fans through various reasons but I doubt we will ever get back to where we were.
  6. Did any Gersnetters 'elope' after the meal? My bet was on BH and Forlansister meeting in private for a anger-bumming session to help settle old scores.
  7. I really can't blame any of them for moving on, it's just a shame that he conducted that press conference. Quite why he thought that was a good idea is beyond me, the others just moved on and remained quiet but Whittaker and Naismith were advised to conduct a press conference with journos asking loaded questions. Cracking wee player too.
  8. Ok, so McCoist goes and then what? Does anyone actually trust this board to appoint the right person? We will end up with Sandy Easdale in the dugout!
  9. He was excellent many times for Rangers but still produced his fair share of bombscares.
  10. I totally agree but what can you do about it? The best thing about international football is that it's fairer than Club football insofar that a big international side can't buy their way to dominance as they can do in a domestic set up. I never used to like international football but after the debacle of what we're going through at Rangers, I like the hassle free aspect of Scotland these days plus we are not getting pumped as often these days.
  11. Losing McCarthy is a real pain in the arse because he's a top player, but McGeady wouldn't get into the current Scotland team on current form and he's not that good and hasn't really pushed on since bursting onto the scene. And you can't really moan when we've got 4 or 5 English born players and the winning goal was scored by a guy who was born in Malaysia. International football isn't about where you were born these days, it's about getting as many good players who are eligible to play for the team.
  12. Would've preferred to have seen his brother stay at the Club but we don't really need promising youngsters with a potential selling value.
  13. Well dB, I'm afraid that I need to agree with SBS. Some people are just so gullible. They backed Murray, they backed Whyte, they backed Green, they backed the Board and now they are backing Ashley. It's actually ridiculous how easy it is to get some of our fans 'onside'. Neil Lennon could buy Rangers, release some statement via a 3rd party to the BBC saying that he's going to build a train station at Ibrox, and the usual "Sheeple" will clamour aboard no questions asked and decry the disconcerting voices as not being Loyal. *sighs*
  14. What a player this boy looks. I've saw him a few times, most notably in the Glasgow Cup final vs Celtic 2 seasons ago, scored 1 and set up Ogen with a delightful cross, but it was Hardie's first touch, turn of pace and general awareness that stood out. Thanks for the clip, Chilledbear.
  15. On the face of it, seems a really good progression has been made. "on the face of it". No doubt something else is waiting round the corner to boot us in the balls again.
  16. Only 4 Scottish based players in the entire squad. Delighted for Macleod as he has been our one faint hope since 2012. Anyone with the faintest knowledge of football would've seen him stand out like a sore thumb in SFL3 and his injury coincided with a deterioration in the football quality being served up by McCoist & co.
  17. My messenger Pigeon has just arrived with the the telegram. Thanks for the info, Mr Hamdani.
  18. Sanity has long since departed from Scottish football so I can't see any chance that Rangers plus the Edinburgh sides will manage to get back into the top flight in time for next season.
  19. I tend to agree but the "wait and see" policy is why we are where we are. Wait and see if Shyster is good to his word. Wait and see if Green is good to his word. Wait and see if the current board come good. Wait and see if Ashley is going to be good for the club? Sorry, but wait and see is the problem. We need to react to what we see now. So far in his 2 years' semi-involvement at Rangers, we've been liquidated, sold our naming rights to SDI, our badges to SDI, we squandered £70m in funds, we've gotten 3/4 loans from differing parties all secured against the Clubs assets. I just can't see this ending well at all.
  20. This is the first season in nearly 30 years that I've not been to a game at Ibrox. I have missed it but I refuse to pay a fortune to watch pish and line the pockets of the current regime.
  21. He won't invest a single penny in Rangers, you only need to look at NUFC to see how Rangers will be governed during his reign. Under Ashley at NUFC; They've been relegated, they've undermind/sacked a number of popular manager and appointed an unpopular manager with a dubious track record, they've sold all their "stars" and embarked on a Celtic-ish race to the bottom where it's "sell sell sell" and replace with cheap imports that might/might not work. The question needs to be "why Rangers?" He could sell every NUFC player for £50m+, finish bottom of the PL and still make more money than he'd get from us winning the CL!! (Which won't happen) He's going to rebrand us, rebrand our stadium and use it as a springboard to launch SD in Europe. It is the only logical conclusion that can be sought.
  22. How long before Joe Kinnear and Dennis Wise are at Ibrox, such is Ashley & Llambias' track record. Any NUFC fans I speak to say that the main gripe with Ashley is how they have stagnated under his stewardship, they have not pushed on and the first opportunity to sell a prized asset for a fast buck, they'll bite the hand off of the buyer.
