  1. likewise, but think that date has passed. If you think of any great manager the seeds were well sewn in the early days and the recognition of that capability recognised at that point.
  2. I read it as much about Rangers not complaining about trivia as it was telling lieswell to think before he opens his arse and starts talking shoite, but it is open to interpretation. probably written by lieswell PA anyway.
  3. fans don't extract money from our Club, they support and put their own cash into it, therefore cannot be accused of hurting the Club. You need to look at the various board members who took from our Club and can be more accurately accused of hurting the Club, some of them are still unfortunately in situ, they're the people we need to excommunicate from our Club, should we want it to, genuinely, prosper.
  4. from a moral perspective he has shown that it is impossible for him to hold a neutral stance in his SFA post and on that basis his position is untenable but taking him to court, on the basis of what he said; it's never going to happen and would be another waste of Club or fan money.
  5. I think on present form and reputation Aluko would have the biggest transfer price of every player in that list.
  6. that is why our CEO is someone who has to have a serious high calibre, footballing pedigree and not someone who you're clicking on Wikipedia to find out who the fergal he is! Not something our present board are capable of delivering.
  7. there is massive ego in Champions League football and Directorship as well, Ashley has no engrained loyalty to Newcastle, there are a number of reasons why he may cash in his lot with the Geordies, however far fetched we may think it is.
  8. really liked Redford, not the most talented but was guaranteed to give you 100% effort in every game. Remember going to Muirton and McCloy gifting St J's two goals with two horrendous goalkeeping gaffs and we were 3-2 down to them in a Scottish Cup tie and many people leaving before the final whistle and up popping Redford to score a real last kick of the match equaliser to keep us in the Cup. he gave everything, every match, whether his old man was minted or not.
  9. jings, to use an old man statement, I came in after a very occasional night out and read the initial thread statement about something to unite us and then read 4/5 pages of argument, but for feck sake, this guy is not worthy of his position, agree or disagree with our vague board, this anti-Christ should not be in this position. We can all surely agree to that? No, then we have bigger problems than just the boundaries of our own club.
  10. first time I've ever seen this guy, but reading all his posted claims, when you see him you'd think he'd be a bit bigger than just being a little scrawny pile of crap, who might get blown away in a big wind. makes you laugh, couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag, unless he was in there with 50 other similar minded tossers.
  11. so doesn't that compromise the independence of this site or is there a threat of someone litigating because of the article that is potentially, deemed offensive?
  12. I think that Andy's comments do it for me. You don't have to fully agree with Britain's stance in world wars and any subsequent events that may have been termed as a war, it isn't all about being a supporter or not. The vast majority of those who have died are people very similar to us, could have lived in the next close, in the floor above, floor below, the house next door, the next street, they're from our communities. Undoubtedly these men and women are from a variety of religions. However, through all of these events these soldiers are on those battlefields giving up their lives to make ours better and particularly in the world wars; every person within our islands has benefitted by their sacrifice, including those witnessing the game at Ross County yesterday, even if they're removed by a generation or 2 or 3. I, through my boys playing football and rugby this weekend, stood through three minute silences this weekend and all immaculately observed, and I can't understand why a silence can't be observed, even when some people have a reason to disagree, it is not difficult to shut up for 60 seconds, and you can show your disagreement though a number of mediums/forms outside of that single minute, the reason you can is because so many, gave so much to allow you that freedom of opinion.
  13. you can only win what's in front of you. we never asked to be in this league, but we are so we have to go and win it. I'll celebrate as we notch another marker on our way back to our rightful place as Scotland's best team.
  14. any time from now, with a home tie, we could spring a surprise on them, we have nothing to lose, bring it on, that feeling in the pit of the stomach, that only they (and big CL games an bring on) has been gone for too long, I'd love them in the next round.
  15. when were we ever associated with them in a friendly manner? however if you can look from a professional footballers perspective surely they must live for the big games, so when we last season went to Peterheed, QP, Elgin City, etc and this season Ayr Utd, East Fife etc, that is their players dream games. on that basis, given that our players are F-T players they must be gagging for a draw against our evil rivals, I'd love us to play them, cup game at Ibrox, man try getting a ticket for that if you don't have a season ticket? what would we have to lose, nothing at all? bring it on, I'm with Numan, Rangers great, maybe a little out of touch, but a man who loved a challenge.
  16. I think there are a few who showed good signs last season but haven't had much of an opportunity this season; Aird, who played well as a sub recently, McKay still has potential, Hemmings looks as if he is developing at C'beath. Sure there are a few more coming through at u20's, u19's, not all bad news.
  17. Daily Rhebel headline, it is almost an incitement to disorder: Neil Lennon: I'm not surprised by Amsterdam violence after Ajax fans' behaviour in Glasgow
  18. this is becoming more and more farcical, any professionally operated business looking in at this must be laughing at the complete inefficiency, the money wasting and the abject handling of the whole situation. hand the temporary CEOship to a complete unknown, ask this unknown to start recruiting a board who may only have jobs for a month and a half, advertise that one as an attractive proposition if you can? I tell you what advertise a huge wage, that will get them coming, let's burn more of our small cash pile! the Easdales and Stockbridge are out of their depth, assuming this new guy is a mate of Stockbridge's, one unknown to another. Whilst they're around they need to only think of the best interest of the Club, if the Easdales are true fans that is what they must do, but unfortunately the temporary employment of this guy seems to indicate that is not the case and the Daniel Stewart guy, well he's not acting in the best interest of Rangers, no 3rd party for the last two years or however long this tragic chapter has lasted has done that, only lining their own pockets and working for someone else's best interests.
  19. when lemon talks about septic fans having being provoked by Ajax fans ripping up seats a full seven days before the return match in Amsterdam you have to stop and think about what kind of people hold a grudge about someone ripping up some inanimate objects in their home football stadium. It's not as if they can't be replaced, not as if any of them injured anyone, not as if Ajax are not going to pay for that damage. so how long can a rational human being hold that level of aggravation, for what was a limited amount of offence? for lemon to then hold that up as a reason for the septic fans behaviour, not only shows that we're talking about the true, unevolved of our society, but a manager who believes that there is very base reasoning for attacking police officers and behaving in a fashion that has no place in a developed society, he also needs to be brought to task for his comments. but the reality is that this will all pass by within a couple of days and the untouchables will continue to be just that.
  20. sorry what happened to the pics, where did Nicky Law go?
  21. SSN have now provided whimpering, grovelling septic slanted views that it was because of the provocation, it is a pathetic get out clause, using the ripping of seats by Ajax fans in the first game at their stadium as part of the build up to the poor septic fans beating up coppers!! Liewell must be threatening law suits to every news paper/TV station because you'd think that their fans were angelically behaved. this is no paranoia this is media manipulation on a grand scale. Lambert must have had a few grand popped into his bank account by the chief news controller.
  22. "We’ll need all our energy for the annual desecration of the war dead’s memory by arguing over who is or isn’t wearing a poppy." the other thing about that specific comment is that Keevins is saying that only Rangers fans are involved in critiquing, arguing over, the wearing or not wearing of an individual commemoration to the historical war heroes of our country. We're the guilty ones, flying abusive, badly spelled banners at septic park, abusing our war dead, that's fine from Keevins perspective. an ignoramus, cheap story teller, with no moral compass; nearer the truth.
  23. so what you're saying is that Rangers have a guilty past and we need to confess to that and then start a clean slate and start befriending the BBC, locally and through that improve our portrayal with them? Unless we vote in Jack the Ripper as the next Rangers CEO I doubt there is much left in our cupboard to dredge up from out past, we can certainly make future headlines through stupidity, unguarded comments, but they're only present and future issues. The BBC are using untruths to create weak news and that is unjustifiable in any rational argument, whoever you support and unless you have a lack of moral judgment. There are a number of spurious individuals within BBC Scotland who have an agenda against Rangers, I think through complaint and the current vulnerability of the BBC's position, we should protest against the misuse of their position. I think that is a quicker avenue to repairing bridges with the BBC in Scotland. Finally; it is also not about the magnitude of the individual complaint it is the magnitude of the number of complainants.
  24. few decent candidates out there for next Rangers manager, should it come to that, not wishing ill on the incumbent; Butcher, Davies, McInnes (doing a great turnaround job at Aberdeen). I know there are plenty of unconnected potential managers out there as well, but always feel that we'd be better with someone who understands what it means, but also has good management credentials. They all hit the mark for me, probably Butcher at the head of the list.
