  1. That's ridiculous imo.

"New pioneers" ffs none could come into that category.

One can only assume that the "New Pioneers" depicted is a reference to those who stuck by the club/fans and didn't jump ship when the great and good of Scottish football were twisting the knife in our backs.

I'm happy for that to be acknowledged.

The fact they haven't been particularly impressive in their given footballing roles at Rangers since is disappointing.

  2. BH has more knowledge than you will ever know, having a go at him just makes you look silly.

    Thanks very much Bearman.

The day I start taking advice from you or Barca72 please wipe the drool from my chin and change my diaper.

  3. Calm doon mate :D BH has been there and done it, us 'plebs' have no right to condemn him.

You really have to respect his word.

    If Carlsberg did endorsments........................

  4. My doctor has warned me against that and has advised the SFA accordingly.

Pity he/she didn't prescribe a nice wee sedative. You are getting on like a cat in heat.

  5. powerful words. Hope everyone fully appreciates the state we've been left in. The increasing number of 'if Ronald De Boer's not installed as manager by next game I'm out' posts suggests not everyone does.

Well said mate. We really need to temper our short term expectations.

Our team is a shambles and there is no quick fix.

  6. You'd never get away with telling players how to cut their hair nowadays, maybe in the army, or North Korea.

Long hair, mustaches, female referees, teabags, fairy liquid, cheese triangles, garlic bread (it's the future) - we're all doomed. Doooomed I tells ya!!!!

    Run to the hills people!

  7. I am not so sure. But they have been in place for a day now so maybe you are correct.

Ok, I get your sarcasm. Well done you. Post was badly worded by me again, fair enough.

In post GM interviews King and co gave no indication at all that they were about to install a new manager. In fact King emphasised the need for a coach rather than a manager. Someone who would develop players at all levels not just "manage". A longer term project I would guess.

  8. Its their first mistake, they should have had someone ready to takeover immediately.

They too see what we see and that is team that is floundering. A team that couldn't beat their way out of a wet paper bag. I think they (the new board) have probably resigned themselves to us staying in the Championship next season.

I really do not know who could/would come at this late stage. How could anyone improve the feeble and inept bunch of "players" that currently constitute our team? I fear there just is not enough time for any manger/coach to make a difference this season.

  9. Some just express an alternative opinion to be awkward.

There is some truth in that I think. Whether it's attention seeking or what I don't know but some folk just seem to be deliberately contrary and obtuse for the sake of it.

I don't think STB falls into that category at all though. It's hard to work him out at times for sure but he's obviously a fervent Bear and an intelligent guy. Which I have to say, makes some of his previous decision making and comments all the more bewildering and frustrating.

The hatchet needs to be buried at some point. Following the resounding success of the requisitioners today maybe that time is now.

  10. I will agree to disagree. It isn't a patch on some of the stuff being thrown around by others.

In thinking, it may be OTT, and for that I would happily apologise. Sometimes, though, you need to be harsh for people to see the error of their ways. And some of the attitudes have been exactly what I say - it looks childish and arrogant to me.

That said, in the greater interests of trying to create harmony, no matter how forlorn a hope that is, I apologise.

    Here's to harmony

  11. It really is depressing that whilst we are on the cusp of a new dawn we are still casting stones at each other and dragging stuff up.

Yes, people picked the wrong horse.

Yes, people couldn't see the damage being done by certain people

In the case of STB he wanted, and wants, the same thing as the rest of us do - nothing more than a successful Rangers, sweeping all before them. So he chose the wrong side and so he has beef with some of the players in the "game". Big deal.

It is almost vomit inducing watching some of us with the "thumb to the nose" attitude and "we told you so, you are an idiot" mentality. Such childish behavior.

At what point do we accept his apology and move on ? Never ?

Watching the sanctimonious bullshit is tough, so many people with that arrogant "I was right" attitude. Some humility would be nice.

We could all be doing with accepting what is done is done and move on. But, in so doing, we should ALL have a more than healthy skepticism with ANYONE that holds the power reins at Ibrox. One thing that we should have learned well over the past 4 years is that we shouldn't be blindly trusting ANYBODY, Bear or not.

I take your point but good grief man a lot of your language there is way over the top and unnecessary.

FWIW I'm glad STB has seen changed tack and embraced the need to rid the club of those doing so much damage to it.

  12. I hadn't been properly supportive of the board for a long time before that though, I openly admit I've been inclined to try and see the best in the people in charge especially when doubtful about the alternative so to an extent I was waiting to see what happened with Ashley perhaps giving us some sort of plan for the future.

Trying to mortgage Ibrox completely ended any patience I had though and King called his EGM the same day. I clearly wasn't alone there hence the size and intensity of the protest at the abandoned Hearts game, no other protest had been anything like that before.

My ideal preference would have been getting Sarver involved but that looks dead in the water.

In bold above - Therein lies the problem.

It's a real shame you did not openly try see the best in fellow Bears.

  13. Completely acknowledge it, it's not just them that have had problems though, there's been too much abuse amongst a population of people that are ultimately all on the same side. The internet has been bad for the Rangers support in many ways.

They've got every right to defend themselves, I don't think that explains the incidents I'm particularly thinking of, unless someone has said something incredibly contemptuous I think you should first go to people directly if you've got a problem and if they're easily accessible rather than jumping to a public attack. I've never hidden my own identity so it's easy for someone to come to me if they're not happy about something.

I'll say again though, in the long run of our clubs future it doesn't matter much and it would be good if in a few years these kind of squabbles are pretty much forgotten.

Again the quote above is meaningless without specifics. You were very specific in pointing to "Chris and Craig" but have not backed it up.

  14. ]No last minute stuff from me' date=' the day King announced his EGM I wanted all the board out. I've posted proof of it. [/b']

You can forget or not forget what you want but we all want the same thing in the end and we all want to only have to worry about football again, what good does continued resentment do when we've got plenty of outside enemies to deal with? And yet again I say this goes for me also, I'm not claiming to be an innocent.

That's just about as last minute as it gets. Most of us realised our club is being stripped bare when they caught on to the fact chuckles' spiel was fantasy and RANGERS cash started disappearing into the ether.

  15. It's not meant to be vague, in the grand scheme of our clubs future it's not really relevant. I mentioned it to explain why I still might sound quite severe against them rather it being a vendetta against fan groups, I give the RST due credit for the voting rights they've built up and I contributed to Rangers First myself weeks ago. Having genuine fan influence in the future is very important even though I doubt full fan ownership will ever happen.

I haven't particularly liked their tactics at times against other fans and fairly recently I feel they've tried to publicly smear a couple of people I know so I'm not a fan. That's a personal opinion though, going forward I hope we can unite as a support despite our differences.

Surely you will acknowledge the constant torrent of abuse (frequently personal) these guys have had to put up with? Do you deny them the right to defend themselves?
