  1. Another great thread :)

As for Jhoke, well it summed him up for me that despite all his lip service about sectarianism in Scotland, he has refused to look at the organisation splitting up children in their early years .... the catholic church!

How about it Jhoke, fancy scrapping their schools? No? Oh, i wonder why!

  2. You know i don't particularly like our fans singing Rule britannia or GSTQ, and that i'd prefer saltires to UJ's, but i would still defend any fans right to do so .... to take UJ's from people in the UK just about sums up this country now!!!

  3. Gazza ... im with you mate!

I've been more and more disgusted with the product each year that passes, and the lack of investment has been just as bad. The last two season i've shelled out good money only to see us throw away the title before Halloween! I've got a caravan down the west coast now, and i'd rather spend my weekends down there, and just get tickets to go see the odd game now and then, as let's face it, you can always get tickets for the non-old firm games!

I didn't take up any european tickets this season as i felt i had given the club enough cash and i had not a lot to show for it!!

  4. The last two Euro games have seen the two sides of Burke too, haven't they? Wonderful against Tel Aviv, pretty woeful tonight ... although this playing him on the left is utter shite!!

  5. i just wish the moderator of the CoS would have the balls to ask why there are seperate schools on the basis of religion...or stand up for the rights of protestants to be proud of their roots ....FFS its no about an OF game..what do they hope to achieve? totally futile exercise if ever i saw one

Agreed ....... it's no good the catholic church trying to make these kind of gestures when it is THEM who rip kids apart at a young age by forcing the parents to bring them up with a 'catholic' education!

.... and shouldn't we be looking to REMOVE religion from football? How does this help?

  6. surely celtic must have been on there minds tonight, them going out last night and then them facing us on sunday.

    lucky is all i'll say.

Celtic shouldnt be on their minds though! Never thought i'd say this, but i dont give a fuck about Sunday's result ......i do, however, care about this UEFA cup run!!

What is it with Charlie Adam ... when he's good, he's good, but when's he's bad, he is fucking diabolical ........ we could have put a carthorse on the left side and looked better :(

  7. Doesn't hide the fact that we were absolutely fucking diabolical tonight, i could round up 11 people from my street to have beaten Rangers tonight!

Thank your lucky stars that this tie isn't over yet, and surely to fuck we can't play as bad against them again ........ surely?

  8. Typical BBC again, eh?

This moving channels during the game is so unprofessional .... as if they can't move fucking Crufts or that cockney soap shite onto another channel for one night?

They frequently do this for Scottish international games too, but they wouldn't dare treat an English FA cup game like ...... yet ANOTHER example of them treating us Scots as second class citizens! :(

  9. Completely agree on all counts !!

Was thinking about it the other day and in the 2nd leg if it goes to ET the away team unfairly get the advantage because them scoring is effectively scoring two goals.

And given you have, as happened tonight, 2 teams that have the exact same results against each other twice over 180 minutes I think it is unfair that the away goals carry over into ET.

I think the rule was maybe seen as an advantage years ago, but i don't think that in this day and age, with much better travel arrangements, etc, that there should be any advantage for scoring an away goal!! Playing an away tie in a far away country isn't the ordeal it once was!

  10. BTW well done to the 1000's of irish rugby fans who stood respectfully to GSTQ with no fuss...just goes to show that most irish people are past all that anti British/ poor downtrodden us rubbish that is so readily peddled by sf and the 'glasgow irish'

Totally agree! The 'glasgow irish' are an embarrasment to the vast majority of decent irish people who want nothing to do with the crap they peddle!

  11. If anyone is interested, could always make up a Gersnet bootskin, to use with programs like this

Would be similar to the wallpapers that Frankie posted on here, and would replace that boring Windows XP logo thingy with the loading bar that pops up each time you boot up your pc!! :D

  12. Aye, but i'm worried about his attitude, does he really give a fuck?, you're right there's no doubt he's class and i would play him now but i'm just not sure he's interested, i mean what are the reasons why he hasn't been playing?

This has crossed my mind too, you can look at it from both points of view

The man looked totally disinterested sitting on the bench, didn't look fit at all, and really did look like he couldn't give a fuck ....... seems he has been taking £30K a week from us to sit in the house!!! Doesn't matter how 'world class' you are .... not playing for the length of time he has leads you to question just how he will come back!

On the flip side though, he knows he is well loved by the fans, and was always happy at the club. There's a new manager in place, so whatever transpired before should be forgotten, and given that he will no doubt be off in the summer, what better way to get himself a new club than with a UEFA cup medal swinging round his neck?

I think we need to play him in the SPL to see how things go first :)

  13. Can't believe that Rae is only getting 6... he was a 7 or 8. Thought his coverage of the park was excellent, allot of background movement that goes unnoticed.

I agree with you, mate .... that was the best game i've seen Gavin Rae play, a lot of good box to box work .... not always the glamourous stuff, but effective!

I also thought Weir was great, and i have to wonder if Hemdani should be given a run at the back again, as i always thought he could do well there when playing with a DECENT centre half!
