  1. All I'm looking for is for him to say he was either wrong to make the accusation or at confirm if he stands by the accusation to know whether to take it further. Dancing around it is tedious to all observing. I try to be open and transparent and would appreciate when someone is potentially affecting both the reputation of my family and in turn my business that they do the same.
  2. Look, cutting all the rubbish out - It was a nonsense accusation that was quite offensive. Our business has the foundations of being open to all Rangers supporters and doing what we can to help the Rangers support - that accusation goes against what we are all about. Surely you can see why we are so angry with it. I spoke to my dad earlier and he confirmed that he called you and also that he PM'd you on another forum without response. If you think he has the wrong number then you PM your number and I'll pass it on.
  3. I genuinely believe there will be an opportunity for our support to move past the petty stuff and focus on improving the club. Its going to be a bumpy period as personalities and egos settle down after years of arguments but we all need to take the steps to do what's right for the club. I was sorry to see the way the CG stuff has worked out as Chris is someone who I like personally. But what's done is done and we need to see what we can do to help going forward. We are now in a position where our actions and support can have a marked impact on the club.
  4. He did at the time of the accusation - which friend and do you stand by or withdraw the accusation?
  5. Shorerdbear accused my dad of 'pleading' with Richard Gough not to sign up to the RST when infact my dad encouraged Richard Gough to sign up to both them and RF. I was quite mad at such a suggestion. Its ludicrous as well since we are both members, the pub is now a life member and We sponsored the RST dinner last year. I personally think that exact kind of stirring behaviour is nothing but propaganda and below our support. Richard Gough confirmed on facebook my dad's version of events. I think its worthy of an apology. We support anything that helps the fans and the support.
  6. What friend of both of ours? He did call you and you didn't answer. I take it you withdraw the allegation.
  7. I posted further stuff. Richard Gough put out on his facebook at what you said was a lie - I don't doubt you believed said lie but surely it should give you pause for thought when you are releasing such rumours. Again apology awaits - uncalled for to spread unfounded disharmony
  8. I would stop putting out rumours if I was you - did you not learn from the Gough thing? My dad is still waiting on an apology for that btw. The secretary is the Rangers First lad, so I'm not surprised to see you have a go. Cut the petty stuff please and just support the Rangers
  9. The Smith thing is speculation - I don't doubt someone probably on our board asked if he was interested but I doubt he was offered the position and turned it down.
  10. I think he'll do a good job - a very good short-term appointment imo
  11. As someone who has had dealings with James Blair in Rangers First, I have been nothing but impressed with the man. I think he's an ideal candidate for the position and I can only give the most glowing of recommendations. I think Chris is the best candidate from The RST, although I think Ross McAdam has a big future, from those who I have had interactions with. I also believe John Bennett is a great addition. I have been in the company of all three on more than one occasion and I have always thought they had the welfare of our club at the forefront of their thoughts so I'm happy enough the way the board is shaping up.
  12. There seems to be a question mark over whether these are actual Easdale proxy shares or just pro board shares. Either way is a 1% swing but I'd prefer the former to be correct!
  13. Superb work! So proud of the support making a collective stand!
  14. They could have approached the RST - or someone else who then informed the RST
  15. Shareholder King buoyed by Rangers First growth DAVE King today insisted Rangers have the backing to return to the forefront of Scottish and European football - after Rangers First took its stake in the Ibrox club to two per cent. The fan ownership group announced yesterday it has increased its shareholding in the Glasgow giants and been handed the proxies for another 0.5% ahead of the EGM next week. And King, who is hoping to be elected as a director along with Paul Murray and John Gilligan on Friday week, believes that shows the level of support the Light Blues can call on. The South Africa-based businessman stressed that he would work in tandem with supporters if he succeeds in ousting the current Gers board on Friday, March 6. He said: "What Rangers First has achieved is phenomenal and bears testimony to the hard work of its officers and to the active loyalty of the 12,000 fans that make up its support base. "The support for Rangers First makes it clear that we can now expect full and active fan support in ensuring that Rangers returns to its natural position in Scottish and European football. "I am excited about the prospect this offers to work, as partners, with the fan representatives immediately after the general meeting on the March 6. "We have challenges ahead and will only be successful if we pull together to reverse the damage to the club that has been inflicted by members of the present board." Rangers First, which is now the biggest fan ownership group in the United Kingdom, confirmed it has increased its shareholding in Rangers to 2% and has been given the proxies for another 0.5% yesterday. The group confirmed last week that it will vote in favour King's resolutions at the general meeting - and back the removal of of Derek Llambias, Barry Leach, James Easdale and David Somers. Rangers First, which was incorporated as a Community Interest Company in May 2014, now boasts nearly 12,000 members and has the backing of former players including Richard Gough, Jorg Albertz, Alex Rae, Claudio Reyna, John Brown and Nacho Novo. Rangers First spokesman Ricki Neill said: "Rangers First has certainly captured the imagination of supporters and we are delighted to announce an increased shareholding of 2% in Rangers Football Club with a further 0.5% in proxies. "I am thrilled with the growth of our organisation in just a few months as we have gone from having meetings with a small group of supporters to just under 12,000 members and there is no doubt Rangers First will have a crucial role to play at the forthcoming General Meeting and beyond. "Our members have overwhelmingly voted in favour of Dave King's resolutions and, like many supporters around the world, we will be heard." Supporters can join now at http://www.rangersfirst.org for £5, £10 and £18.72 a month and Club 1872 lifetime memberships are also available.
  16. How many more proxies do we think we'll get between both orgs?
  17. Dave King Quote on Rangers First: “What Rangers First has achieved is phenomenal and bears testimony to the hard work of its officers and to the active loyalty of the 12,000 fans that make up its support base. The Support for Rangers First makes it clear that we can now expect full and active fan support in ensuring that Rangers returns to its natural position in Scottish and European football. I am excited about the prospect this offers to work, as partners, with the fan representatives immediately after the general meeting on the 6th of March. We have challenges ahead and will only be successful if we pull together to reverse the damage that has been inflicted by members of the present board.”
  18. Grant Russell ‏@STVGrant 22m22 minutes ago .@RangersFirst's shareholding increase means Dave King & co have guaranteed EGM vote - by our count - of 44.8% so far http://bit.ly/140qebo
  19. FAN group Rangers First now owns two per cent of the Ibrox club after extending their shareholding to 1.6million shares. And it has also been given another 410,000 shares in proxies ahead of next month's crucial general meeting, which could spell the end of the current board's Ibrox reign. The group - Britain's biggest fan-ownership scheme - has already announced it will use its now combined 2.5 per cent stake to back Dave King's bid to oust directors David Somers, James Easdale, Derek Llambias and Barry Leach after a poll of its 11,700 members. Rangers First will also vote King, Paul Murray and John Gilligan on to a new-look board of directors. Spokesman Ricki Neill has praised the Light Blue faithful for their continued commitment to Rangers First ahead of the decisive March 6 meeting at Ibrox. He said: "Rangers First has certainly captured the imagination of supporters and we are delighted to announce an increased shareholding of two per cent in Rangers Football Club with a further 0.5 per cent in proxies. "I am thrilled with the growth of our organisation in just a few months as we have gone from having meetings with a small group of supporters to just under 12,000 members and there is no doubt Rangers First will have a crucial role to play at the forthcoming general meeting and beyond. "Our members have overwhelmingly voted in favour of Dave King's resolutions and, like many supporters around the world, we will be heard."
  20. The Louden will have to get one too to go with our RF life membearship - we have membearship number 0001 for RF so wonder which one we'd get with RST
  21. Rangers First have announced that they have sent over 350,000 proxy votes to Capita today. That means that RF is using around 2.2% of the vote to remove the incumbent board and replace it with DK, PM, and JG. Also: Trust announcing they've had 1.36m shares proxied to them by fans ahead of EGM - giving them control of 3.25% of club. https://www.therst.co.uk/news/rst-take-13m-proxies-to-increase-voting-block-to-325/#.VOc1CRb6k64.twitter
  22. My main issue with this piece is the 'financial expert' tag which I think means we should hold it to a higher standard of scrutiny than that of an amateur
