  1. I think many anticipated more shares being issued by now.
  2. Timing with Mitchell is a coincidence but is there anything even vaguely concrete that we've actually spoken to him?
  3. Quite. in the absence of information, everyone speculates: media, and especially social media, abhors a vacuum. But it's reasonable to ask what the eff is going on after all this time. But I would say that the rumours about Portuguese bloke must have some foundation: if everyone's just pulling names out of their respective backsides, Eck, Davies, McInnes, even Pardew or De Boer would be understandable. But a Portuguese bloke even the Blizzard readers haven't discovered yet?
  4. Lifted from FF. Might be more nonsense but would explain delay.
  5. if he is knocking us back it would be nice if he hurried up so we could get on with things! I don't want to hurry for the sake of it, but this is beginning to drag a bit. You get the impression that they thought we'd have things sorted by now.
  6. Quite. Instead of getting our disappointment in early, imagine how angry we can all get when it doesn't match our expectations.
  7. Clearly has his legs taken but can't quite see whether contact is in the area from the official site's highlights. Must've been close.
  8. Not quite what the headline suggests though it does sound pretty amateurish.
  9. Looking at the highlights, 'very harsh' is too strong. He might have got away with a yellow but don't think he can complain too much, tbh. Mental tackle: why give the ref a decision to make all the way out by the touchline?
  10. When I left work on Friday, Martin Jol was the bookies' favourite. Since then, Barry Ferguson has been and gone. And now, the alarming news via FF that Alan Pardew is being talked to. The mere thought of him doing that weird dance on the touchline at Ibrox makes me want to kill.
  11. Swap Brown for Butcher for my selection. Was tempted to add Baxter and Caldow but stuck with those I can actually remember. Otherwise, if them, then why not Morton, for eg.?
  12. From a Rovers forum via FF "I think I know how they pick managers at rovers. They put some really crap names into a hat. Throw that hat away and think of some even worse names. Let the first 10 reject you then settle on the 11th"
  13. If we are having an open process with interviews, rather than tapping one of the usual suspects on the shoulder, then it will take a bit of time. If the price of speediness is appointing Tony Mowbray, I'd rather they took their time. I'm pretty sure we could have had Billy Davies in place by the monday morning if that is the route we wanted to go down
  14. WE'd take the entire Hearts side on that basis.
  15. As noted on FF, this was the prick who was trying to get the Youth Development money signed over on the morning of the EGM. If there's no money at Ibrox, it's because of the damage this arsehole contributed to. Does Ashley seriously think he can ever get back a measure of control at the club without consequences?
  16. We've always tried to go down that route on the cheap. In the longer run, I do think it's cost-effective but with PLG, as with MW, we've only done it because we have no cash.
  17. Everyone knows the answer is 'down the back of Mike Ashley's sofa'
  18. We don't have the money to buy 10 or 12 players of a significantly higher quality than we have at the moment so it's less a case of who we'd like retained and more a case of who we can off the books/get money for. FWIW, I think the current squad would look a very different beast with some dynamism and drive in midfield and somebody who could find the net without a fuqing satnav.
  19. I'm sure Garner was who we went for but meant we thought we were getting the version who scored loads in Div 1 rather than the version who struggled in the championship. Agree on the energy without impact: like Sebo without the finishing. And I've heard folk say he's better in a two as well which begs the questions: (a) why did we buy a player who likes two up front to play in a front three ? (b) what is it about a two that will suddenly allow him to link up play and finish in a way he evidently can't at the moment? and © even if he's a bit better in a two, is he ever going to be good enough to make it worth changing the whole formation of the team to suit him?
  20. Presumably the spine was supposed to be a.n. other centre back, Barton in midfield and a less shit version of Garner.
  21. Can't see how we can know that unless we're only interviewing out-of-work candidates or we're going to pay compensation.
  22. That clearly isn't what happens. You're not going to get the coach saying "one more injury and I'm down to the under 18 left back" and the DoF saying "Sorry but I've just bought you a reserve goalie"
  23. Obviously a decent coach but not much to suggest he could take Rangers, DoF or not.
