  1. Only in the minds of those who think we are on par with the Scum these days.

I'm reading the pish again that we are light years behind the Mhanks, we're not.

    we quite obviously are

we can't beat partick thistle, no one in their right mind thinks we are anything other then light years away from the vermin

  2. I'm reading the pish again that we are light years behind the Mhanks, we're not. They are undoubtedly the better team at the moment, but light years? Saturday showed we can compete for 45 minutes, with a couple of the right players coming into the the right system, we could compete for ninety minutes.

We still need an assassin in the team, Dorrans and Jack are great workhorses, good tacklers and can spread the ball, but they are not mean and nasty types. We could do with another target man up front, someone in the mould of big Hateley, a ball winner that can score and lay the ball off for Super Morelos. Get these two signing right and we'll compete, as Scotty would say in Star Trek, ''aye aye Captain, warp factor five'' and we will catch up with the Mhanks .

    possession 58% celtc

18 shots to 6 in favour of celtc

7 shots to 1 on target in favour of celtc

    11 corners to 2

    at home

    that is dreadful

  3. It was a breath of fresh air not to see miller in there but same old problems abide, terrible finishing and comedy defending

alnwick was man of the match and deservedly earned it

windass was awful and will have to be dropped for the muck at the weekend

maybe if we can keep the ball from the scum we can stifle them a bit

but over 180 minutes we've matched a workmanlike partick side, pretty dreadful

  4. A couple of further points on Friday;

Why didnt Nico start? When you consider we have a potential 2 hour cup tie on Tuesday before the OF game, you would think Nico would play the league game, sit out the cup tie, and be ready for the bheasts. Now that Windass failed (again) and Nico will come back in on Tuesday, that is not the best planning for the game that his job may be resting on.

Surely now Herrera & Pena must start the game on Tuesday. They are the two big money signings of the last window and we are now well into the season and they aren't ready? Pena looks to me as if there is some talent there, but he is going to need game time to get to know his teammates. It looks like he wants to link up with quick 1-2's and short passes, and if you dont know where your teammates are going to be then everything breaks down. Also his teammates need to support these runs and not stand watching as I have witnessed them do. Herrera is a different type of striker, but Morelos needs a partner and Miller is not it, so it figures that Herrera must be given a chance to build a partnership with Morelos.

Windass & Miller have had plenty of chances and have failed. time to ditch them both and try other options. Anything less is pure stubbornness and bad management, and I thought we had seen enough of that with our last 2 managers.

    kranjcar was injured

  5. But you are still wrong. It is, more or less about having reallistic expectations for the season as well as each game, with the former still more dominant than the latter. What we see more often than not is that while people do have certain expectations for the season, after a bad performance or result, they seemingly go ballistic and all doom and gloom. It is not that I don't scream at my monitor when the ref is an idiot like Beaton or one of our players fluffs at a glorious chance or wastes a great pass. But if we play half decent football like we did on Friday and it is more down to the odd mistake in defence and a host of missed chances, I see no reason to call for heads or term certain players unfit to wear the gersey. On another we might have scored 4 more and we probably will in weeks to come.At least we look more likely than last season.

At the end of the day we are where we are. We can fully expect to go for second place with the squad we have, and do have every chance to go all the way in the one-off competitions. Celtic, at this moment in time, is no benchmark. We can hope that they drop points, but they have that same well-oiled machine of last season, a fully intact spine and free-scoring strikers. How it will stretch over the season is anyone's guess. And I for one do not think that is unreasonable. So perhaps people think about their expectations and think about the time of year we have right now. Football never works on a weekly or even monthly basis.

What I'm sick of hearing is that bi-weekly - unreasonable - doom-mongering and head-calling. Which should not stop anyone from criticising tactics, player selection and player performances, which I take part in too.

we didn't play decent football in the second half against partick

in fact we played abysmally badly against 10 men

    real clueless headless chicken stuff.

  6. Literally unbelievable. Celtc are simply running the show.

A boot in the head and no action. Fuck off. Impossible

this will seem like handbags compared with what they'll get up to at Ibrox

if anyone has ANY sense whatsoever inside Ibrox they will be banging on about this in the lead up to the game

the refereeing decisions against us this season have been absolutely diabolical

  7. That might be your opinion, but I still can't remember a "squad full of dumplings" under Warburton. It is one thing to look at "the quality" of each individual, not least on hindsight, but a quite different thing to look at what was available at the time, willing to come, and affordable. I think we spent about 2m max last season and next to nothing the season before. So what quality can be expected? None of anything that many consider Rangers standard. But a squad of "dumplings" does not win the Championship nor beat Scum FC in a Cup Semi-Final, does it? That they allhad a sub-standard season last time around does not push anything beforehand down the drain. It happens to many teams over the years and AFAIK, the distance to the mighty Dons in 2nd was equally tall? So a small amount of objectivity should still be with us, don't you think?

a squad losing 5-1 TWICE to the scum in one season is very much choc full of dumplings

  8. Hence I wrote the "mindset of the Playstation generation". How many managers would Rangers have seen had we changed each time a season does not star with 6 wins or whatever the demand of the season was/is?

BTW, if a Briton writes "Herr" it does has a naughty undertone of referring to the Nazis. But that was sure not what you had in mind.

real madrid have had something like 18 managers in as many years, they are the best team on the planet and go from strength to strength

  9. I'm sorry but that is gobbledygook to me! What does it mean?

Letham was put in touch with Paul Murray (of the Murray family)

    nothing

if the rest is as accurate as this

  10. Try the Director of Football, or maybe the Football Board.

    no

the question is directed at posters on here saying we have to show patience

i thought patience and understanding was after the first hammering
