  1. There will always be varying opinions but after this season, I don't think anyone doubts his ability and potential. But this season has also thrown another important factor into the mix, which simply can't be ignored. The priority for most is a winning team and we are on our most consistent run in the top flight since 2011. In other words, currently Morelos isn't getting a game because Defoe deservedly has the shirt and probaly suits more the formation w've been playing. The factor I mentioned was discipline and in Scottish fitbaw, his cards have been marked. This means it will take a really big effort on his part to stop falling for opposition efforts to get him sent off. Thus far, we've heard how he'll look to rid this from his game and to be fair you could see an effort being made but come the big game, he succumbed once again. I put it to you that he is a cracking player but we can't really trust him. Thereafter, does he want to stay or go ? If he wants to stay, I'd be more inclined to give him another chance unless offered relative silly money. If he wants to go, I'd take a reasonable fee and look for a replacement.
  2. His salary at City is probably more than all the defenders at our club combined and he hasn't played more than 17 league games in a season since 2014/15.
  3. Thinking about it, I'd like to see management trying out something different formation wise. With Scott Arfield unavailable, I think the current formation loses something They must come up with loads of variations that never get tested in competitive games. What about a 3-5-2 again? Fod Flanagan - Goldson - Worrell Polster - Youth - Davis - Kamara - Barasic Defoe - Mebude Subs to include Mrs Polster
  4. Yes, but let's give the management team and players some leeway today, they deserve it. It's the one and only game of a 60 odd game campaign I'd say that. Give some youngsters a deserved chance and not just 10 minutes.
  5. Effectively, the season ended last week for us. Team will be different today, no real pressure and Kilmarnock will probably be up for it. Resultwise, anything could happen and I won't be too bothered either way. I would like to see a couple of the youngsters get their chance, given opportunities to throw them in are so few and far between. It'd be good to get a fully fit Dorrans back for next season but it'll be a pleasant surprise to me if he's able to play regularly at a decent pace.
  6. Final will be a repeat of last year....Rangers v Newcastle Utd
  7. Daily Record / Sunday Mail are doing their job. Where are Chris McLaughlin and Mark Daly on this after recent developments ?
  8. Goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal That's us in the Final against either Newcastle or Kitchee
  9. 0-0 Finish Onto sudden death play-off 4 v 4 WHU have had the edge
  10. HT: 0-0 VERY cagey We started very slow but worked our way into it It'll open up a bit now.......
  11. I presume Forlan is in Hong Kong but the question is what transport has he hired to be able to get to Rugby Park KO ?
  12. HEADS-UP Semi-Final will be starting in about 10 minutes.... Legal Livestream
  13. An unprecedented Treble plus community shield but watching Liverpool v Spurs in the CL final will have the City bosses feeling sick. This season, City and Liverpool have been like the English Old Firm, as per what it was like up here at the turn of the century (the rest no-where / both close to 100pts and 100 goals). Another sport to what we play.
  14. Semi-final will be against West Ham Utd.
  15. Enjoyed listening to that Stevie ! Good to hear DJ talk about his time in the 70's. Like the way you bounce the conversation around very different perspectives....youth expert / ex-player / journalist and yourself.
  16. FT: 1-0 win Missed a hatful of chances, including a penalty before we got the winner with 10 seconds remaining ! We go through to the next stage with 7 points
  17. HT: 0-0 We're making the Dragons look better than they are. Time to put a couple of goals away.
  18. Going into the last group games, we shouldn't have any problems getting into the Main Cup KO stages. We play the Dragons, they play in sheep colours and are just as bad. Rangers 4pts (+2) Wolves 4pts (+1) HKFC 3pts (-1) Dragons 0pts GAME about to start.........NOW
  19. Yes, but as far as this thread is concerned, it's about BBC Scotland and how it is reporting/reacting to ongoing events in and around the Celtic Boys Club abuse scandal. We'll have to see how things develop but the question that emerges is would PQ deliberately slant coverage (or lack of) to favour one side of the compensation claim case that victims have made on Celtic FC ? And beyond that, is it part of an ongoing editorial imbalance that permeates throughout the organisation ? This issue in particular is more about the News programmes than Sportsound.
  20. Not really, it's something else that they are very quiet on.
  21. Going into the last group games, we shouldn't have any problems getting into the Main Cup KO stages. We play the Dragons, they play in sheep colours and are just as bad. Rangers 4pts (+2) Wolves 4pts (+1) HKFC 3pts (-1) Dragons 0pts
  22. FT: Rangers 0 Wolves 0
  23. Re. Peter Smith tweet I'm not seeing the same level of questioning coming from investigative journalist, Mark Daly. Looking at Daly's twitter account, I don't see a retweet for the DR report, the Peter Smith reaction to it or a reaction from Daly himself. Whether he has made a comment elsewhere, I don't know. ------------------ Victims could do with holding public protest demos to allow others to show their support and further highlight this case, eg. outside PQ. No football colours to be worn.
  24. Main Cup, Shield and Plate competitions The Main Tournament will involve 16 teams and will be played initially on a league phase followed by a knockout phase. The league phase will comprise four groups each containing four teams. Each team will play the other teams in their respective groups on Saturday 18 May. All matches in the Main Cup, Plate and Shield knockout competitions shall be played on Sunday 19 May. The top two teams in each league will proceed to the quarter-finals of the Main Cup knockout competition. The third and fourth teams in each league will proceed to the quarter-finals of the Main Plate knockout competition. The Main Shield knockout competition will be contested by the losing quarter-finalists in the Main Cup knockout competition and will only consist of semi-finals and a final. While there is no upper age limit applied to the participants in the Main Tournament, participants must have reached the age of 16 by 1 January 2019.
  25. Being overturned is a double win. We have the player available for the first game of next season (not bothered about tomorrow) and It'll help generate more headlines that will only go towards ensuring that the process is changed.
