  1. It was energy, movement, speed and belief. The errors became almost inevitable, it was a matter of time.
  2. It tends to be difficult to give youngsters extended runs at Rangers. Under pressure managers tend to stick to the tried and (previously) trusted. Now that the window is closed, a brave and practical manager might see opportunity, rather than risk. At the end of the day, we won't know if they are good enough unless they get a chance.
  3. Moreso when it is the second
  4. Drop anything at Sheepsville next week and the Gio out noises will start to get loud. edit ps. unless we do well in Amsterdam.
  5. Should do. #Pathwaystartshere
  6. Slightly unfair on SG. He built a squad that done wonderfully well in Europe and progressed year on year. My feeling is that it reached it's European peak with the EL Cup Final and we should have looked to freshen things up more.
  7. This game was where we always going to find out about this squad (and theirs) We took the sore one in Feburary, solutions had to be found. They appear further away or the gap appears greater.
  8. It isn't winning the League and that is what matters above all. It might win a Cup, who knows. I can't see us finishing anywhere but bottom of our CL group, It is another level. Although I'd give us a better chance of finishing third in CLGp., than winning the league.
  9. Time will tell but I'll repeat what I said months ago. I don't think this squad has enough balance, depth or quality to do much this season.
  10. Domestically, we only lose to them (since Gio has been here). Domestically, the same problems mean we drop more points to provincial Scottish sides than them.
  11. I wouldn't bank on performing well in Europe with the group we are in and the squad/players unavailable we have. A couple of scuddings are on the cards.
  12. We'd need some new players
  13. They have more energy, speed, movement and belief. Their attacks go forward, ours tend to go backwards before we ponder moving it forward
  14. If Ajax are watching they won't be showing us much respect on Wednesday.
  15. I'd hope he'd have lost a bit of excess by now. Maybe not ideal but we haven't many options.
  16. They aren't like European opposition. We haven't got enough creative quality middle to front.
  17. Morales just behind Colak
  18. We thought Feburary was bad. At this point we had a fit Ryan Jack to bring on, now he is towing the preverbial. We've learnt that this squad isn't winning the league. They are a long way in front of us, which includes 5 points plus GD and them being able to put away provincial sides, week after week.
  19. Can't defend Can't lay a glove on them Bad mix and Gio would appear a long way from finding a solution. I don't think we have the squad to do it tbh
  20. Had Lawrence been fit, it would have been the same line-up as PSV (A).
  21. This is the problem in trying to contain. Walter's sides bucked that trend but the individual quality and defensive organisation we had back then was excellent.
  22. The question is where on the park will their heat map feature ? I reckon it might begin on the deep side close to our defence.
  23. Tillman playing right side probably means that Tav has to be more conservative with his forward forays and that reduces our creative side a lot. Again suggests we are looking to keep them out, then grow into game with the likes of Morelos, Wright and Arfield to bring on.
  24. Celtic 3 - 1 Rangers Colak Same score as I put for PSV, so here is hoping there is a repeat and Rousseau takes a max again
  25. Quite defensive looking, might initially get hemmed in with Colak marooned. Need to keep them out #statethebleedinobvious
