  1. No argument from me regarding the draconian laws for football fans, but complaining about someone using poofy is merely pandering to those who have foisted political correctness upon us all.
  2. Agreed. Even the most stupid of people wouldn't do the same thing again and again. It is almost certainly pathological and comes out due to his huge desire to win.
  3. I hope that his missus takes his password to the grave. Anyone who puts in a complaint to a comedy radio show about the word 'poofy' really should steer clear of the internet, and indeed, society in general.
  4. If an elbow to the face gets eight games, how could Suarez get a 2-year ban from all football? That's just nonsense. The 'biting' thing is strange behaviour but it is not something which can cause serious injury. Shearer has some nerve to make any comment after trying to boot the head off Lennon's shoulders!
  5. Did Dave King ride your missus? What difference does it make if he held a press conference or said it in an interview?
  6. Merely pointing out that he wasn't an unknown, and as you say, the words of Green can't be taken as gospel. I would be surprised if this guy is involved any more than being there as a legal mouthpiece for others.
  7. If Dzeko had taken half of the chances created for him, the disallowed goal would have been forgotten about. He was, and not for the first time, absolutely honking!
  8. It most certainly does. If he was in the squad, he would be listed as a substitute.
  9. Sponsorship, tv and prize money? How much does that come to per annum? If we comfortably afforded £21m before, why were we making a loss when there was no CL involvement?
  10. It's not an either/or situation. King has said that wages need to be trebled or quadrupled for the first year back in the top flight. What is sensible about that?
  11. Wouldn't have a clue. As I stated, he had no credibility after the schoolboy errors in his early offerings.
  12. He's advocating spending millions on building a team to win the Scottish title. If that fails to have the desired effect, what next? Who pays for the sky-high wages of a losing team?
  13. I haven't cut out anything for any reason, so feel free to add whatever years you want. I was merely highlighting the stupidity of gambling on getting entry into Europe. It could be four years of profit or four years of losses, but it still wouldn't make make it a sensible plan, just as Murray conning 'investments' out of people wasn't sustainable.
  14. June 2007 - £5m loss June 2008 - £7m profit June 2009 - £13m loss June 2010 - £4m profit Each one showing the toss of a coin that is European income. Madness.
  15. I agree about political intervention, but Sky are there at the behest of the teams, not the other way round. If there is a more lucrative deal to be had elsewhere, Murdoch and his empire will be jettisoned. The bottom line is that the EPL do not need either of the Glasgow clubs, as has been shown by the two votes on the matter.
  16. The guy banging his gums most about all of that used residential values to price up commercial land at the old hospital/Lennoxtown site. He must have improved a hell of a lot since then to garner such support.
  17. We haven't been for the last twenty years or so. Dave King, NTL, Joe Lewis, MIM underwriting share issues. That, and more, is where the investment came from back then and it was all sunk in the chase for CL football. King is now planning on doing similar all over again. He hasn't canvassed for support by revealing detailed plans for a scouting network, he has done it by saying Rangers need to spend big in order to challenge Celtic for the Scottish title. What he hasn't explained is what will happen when it doesn't work out like that, or if it does, what an exit from Europe before the schools go back will mean to the finances. The days of automatic entry into the group stages are over, and that is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future, so any scheme which starts off by having a standard of player which costs too much for the likely prize at the end is sheer folly. Just look at the last two years for proof.
