  1. And what are the board doing about that

Nowt, because he's a human shield for them.

Bizarrely, some of those who lay the blame at the manager's door for the standard of football on show, don't appear to care that his continued employment is down to the suits and see that as yet another of their many failings. You have to wonder why that is.

  2. And do we know what costs it is that meant we were running at such a loss where we need a loan? The turnover for the year was only £18/19m yeah? £11.2m of that was on the football and management team. A business and company the size of Rangers cannot operate over a year year with that remaining £7/8m. I think the club running costs are actually double that so what did you want the board to do? Not pay wages? Not pay British Gas or Scottish Power?

In the last few months we have seen an effort to cut costs, players have been let go, the managers ridiculous salary has been cut as well. Players contracts have since ran out and will not be renewed.

Where else can we cut costs?

There comes a time when fans need to accept just where and who we are. We are not a Champions League club turning over £50m anymore.

We won't know what this new board have been doing until we get the next set of accounts for this year. It won't be nearly as bad as the last set, that is for sure.

We're they not advertising yet more executive positions a couple of weeks back? That area of the business must be in a healthy state.

  3. There's plenty of blame to go about but people can't withdraw vital capital then absolve themselves of all responsibility if things go pear shaped.

There is no vital capital being withdrawn, therefore there can be no blame apportioned to anyone other than those who are failing to attract the required investment to properly run the business.

  4. I wasn't sure what else to say. I was reading the thread and suddenly felt like Mr Ben walking into the costume shop, going into the changing room and getting transported to Timbuktu or La La Land or some mad shit.

    :D

    All's well that ends well.

  5. People being persuaded not to renew ST's for starters

    Ask yourself this.

Why have the board been unable to persuade them to do something which has been done as a matter of course for many years?

  6. The leaks by Charlotte on Twitter pretty much proved who was in with who. The Charity Foundation's gesture was nothing whatsoever to do with Whyte, Green or the current scumbags, and was not in anyway a shameful embarrassment to Rangers FC. Some simple research and you would find that out or if you had been around at the time.

Sorry, the spider senses still tingle. Shall I pick you up from the airport or docks on the 11th? One of my traditions on the 11th is to drive round the bonfires then to lower Falls and shout dirty ****** bastard with blood and thunder blasting from the speakers.

If you have info to dispel what I posted, let's see it.

    Docks. Overnighter from Liverpool.

  7. That never hurt Whyte, only the charity foundation. Whyte was proven to be toxic by then with no chance of coming back......or at least coming back in public.

The whole point of my post was about how much it hurt the RCF. I believe that Whyte, D&P, Green, et al are in this together. As I have said, if I'm shown to be wrong, I will hold my hands up.

  8. So you joined in with tims?

Meet you in the pigeon club in Ardoyne for pint over the twelfth? My RSC runs a great cultural evening of the 11th. Very popular.:D

I found whatever info I could to use against Whyte. If that means I joined in with tims, so be it. I had all those accusations at the time.

Will do. I'll PM you nearer the time.

  9. No offence but my spider senses are tingling right now. I recall timothy, and only timothy, making an issue of this.

Well I made an issue of it too. If I have got anything wrong, feel free to point it out and I'll be happy to apologise. I'll be staying at the Belfast Etap from July 11-14 if you want to vet me personally.

  10. Not the Charity Foundation donating some of the proceeds to the club during admin? Not sure I agree as the AC Milan players agreed to it and were very sympathetic to us. Unlike our Scottish counterparts.

One of the RCF trustees, acting alone, illegally signed over 190k of the proceeds to Duff & Phelps. The RCF received 40k, with Milan getting what they were originally due.

At a subsequent hearing by the charities watchdog one of the trustees failed to respond to any of their requests for information. As no names were divulged, we need to draw our own conclusions as to what went on.

The trustees were John Greig, Martin Bain and Craig Whyte.

  11. I don't think the exact number of people is even all that relevant unless it's either tiny or massive, but this was definitely somewhere in-between. For hundreds of people to turn up to protest at Ibrox on a Saturday in the close season is a big talking point and says a hell of a lot about where we are right now. I'm fully expecting a statement from the board (not the Club) at some point in the next few days which tries to bad-mouth and belittle the fans who protested today, although maybe they'll see sense and just get the brooms out.

The responses to the latest VB 'grilling' will be used as their tool to hit back.

  12. Probably because there's good number of folk who aren't pro anything, just anti-boycott.

Other than for emotive effect, how can someone choosing not to purchase a season ticket be described as being part of a boycott?

  13. Yes we changed with the influx of folk from Ulster, but I would say the perception was still we were a Scottish team. Many of the flags at Ibrox back in the sixties were St Andrew crosses with Rangers emblems on them.

Even the Orange Lodge and the songs were not frowned upon back then as they are now, whether we agree or not, many people do not want to be associated with this in the modern day.

I totally agree with your second point. Sir David Murray banning the OO Annual Service from Ibrox was yet another PR stunt designed to distance the club from anything that could reduce income.
