  1. Would Walcott take that accolade if Sven brings him on?
  2. Anyone bored of this yet?
  3. Oldest Player.... Roger Milla (Cameroon) 42y 39d

  6. Agreed, but the fact that we're not the only team in transition, IMO, makes it easier for us. Had Celtic not lost some key players i.e. Keane, Hartson and probably Petrov, then you would argue that they would be clear favourites. Now I dont think they are.
  7. Every new Old Firm manager in recent times has won the league in their first full season. You can bet the kiddies christmas present money on it!
  8. I blame FIFA - they put so much pressure on referee's every single World Cup that it's no surprise that some go crazy. Perhaps we'll appreciate the Scottish Referees's a bit more having watched some of these guys. Also, is there not a case for FIFA finding a panel of referee's to officiate at all the games regardless of where they come from. I'll stand corrected, but does each country that qualifies not nominate their top ref to go to the WC - Surely there are better ref's around, who've refereed more top flight action and can handle the pressure than the likes of those from Togo etc.
  9. I'm quite chuffed with 12th out of 18 since I picked my team 3 weeks before the World Cup started and haven't looked at it since.
  10. Only saw the last 15 mins. Cant say I'm bothered that Australia are out even if it was a dubious decision. The Aussies are unbearably good at every single blooming sport going at least they're not gonna win the WC now.
  11. You should have plenty time to do the ironing when you get up at 1am, 2am, 3am, 4am & 5am in the morning Juffers!
  12. Aye, looks like Celtic are shooting themselves in the foot a wee bit. My crystal ball predicts a transition season for Celtic which is good news for us. Hearts are in constant transition so I reckon we'll coast the league by March....
  13. He's not exactly done well then..... Faria Alam anyone???!!!
  14. Surely given the length of time we've been on the 5 star list we're due a final. Anyone know how we can lobby UEFA/ SFA?
  15. Nah, he's heard that Macdonalds are starting to do delivery's!!!
  16. So your a Wigan fan then, Roy?

Never knew that although he was a wee bit before my time.
  18. I cant understand why Erikson doesn't go with a 3-5-2 formation. Right back is clearly a problem, although Hargreaves played well there today he's best in the midfield holding role. This would also allow England to play Lampard and Gerrard without sacrificing a striker for Rooney to play off of.
  19. Cant see Webster moving somewhere to be an obvious 2nd choice.
  20. Also, although I didn't see much of the game - everyone was raving about Ballack and Chelski are getting one hell of a player! Dont fancy being a Premiership defender trying to keep on top of Shevchenko and also stopping Lampard and Ballack scoring every other time they have a pop from 25 yards.
  21. Given that Elmander didn't get much of a chance to impress- hopefully that will mean that his transfer value isn't exaggerated much more than it already is and we can get him for around the £2.5m mark already metioned in the press.
  22. 1-0 at half time with Owen injured in the first minute. Bet Erikson feels like a right plum by not taking an extra striker. Reckon he'll play Gerrard up front in the next round...
  23. I've always found gersforums ok and I do browse on occasions but rarely post. There does seem to be a lot of name calling and disagreements but overrall I think the content is good and its usually pretty busy. Welcome to any gersforum refugees, hope you enjoy your stay!
