Liked the look of Frankie's XI based on what we know so far. Once some of the younger players have played a few games then it might change things a little i.e Stanger, Ponroy etc.

I'm inclined to believe Zidane's words more than Materazzi's. Why would he lie given that he's now retired. FIFA cant punish him by banning him for any length of time because it's irrelevant. As he said, he reacted to what was being said to him - he's never had a history of unprovoked assualt so why start in the World Cup final??

Cant see it personally. Probably a PR stunt to get the Celtic fans on side given their lack of transfer activity given how much Ricksen and PLG have been on the back pages.

I'm not going to get too excited about things until he's fully fit. We regularly see that players are flying in training after an operation but then pick up a few niggles that postpones or aborts their comebacks.

He's a club legend as a player and he took managed Monaco in the Champions League - also, given that they're probably about to be relegated it's unlikely they're going to get a like-for-like replacement in terms of quality/experience etc.

The Sun had a lipreader interpret and says that Materazzi called him the son of a terrorist whore or something. Also saying how sensitive French Algerian's are about their race/ terrorism and the like.

I would be shocked if he was sacked given his value to the club. He would walk away but we wouldn't get a penny. Now that he's checking into 'Sporting Chance' is he going to admit a drink problem or anger management?? We'll have to wait and see but I hope he gets a bit of space to work through his issues although I've no doubt he'll be hounded.

Murray's backup for everywhere in defence and midfield but I dont have much confidence in him playing every week. Actually, left back position is as worrying as right back if we get a couple of injuries....

I'm sure it was in the Champions League last season. If I remember rightly, the ball was played into his feet on the edge of the 6 yard box and with his back to the keeper he back-heel flicked/redirected the ball behind him and into the net. Cant remember who it was against.
