    His agent making all the right noises for a move (and not a wage increase like we all hope) and our piss poor financial states leave me to believe that Macleod has played his last game for us. Be heartbreaking to see the only positive we seem to have at the club but I'm pretty much resigned to losing him, question is can we get the very best offer unlike previous players where we've accepted the first bid tabled? Does this collection of inept losers masquerading as a board have the foresight to insist on a sell on clause? Ciao Lewis

    There's much truth in this post and we were up against a tangled web of deceit but to have not even to try will always get under my skin. We were bought over for £5.5m and competing bids were just as derisory. We should have tried to acquire the club instead of getting behind various bidders. No-one will ever be able to tell me that the foundation of Hearts model wasn't at least worth a try even if ultimately we would have still lost out.

    In 86 we had Holmes and his grand ideas at the helm. There's no light at the end of this tunnel and it's beginning to feel like there is no way out from this continued downward spiral. The people calling the shots at Rangers simply don't give a fuck about the clubs prosperity.

    The fact that SMV are affiliated with the Green Brigade makes Celtic's response all the more galling. The media should be all over them on this issue but predictably they aren't. A made up bullshit story about a dog being attacked for wearing a Celtic strip receives more coverage, quelle surprise.

    This isn't about individual jokes at the expense of a deceased player that both sides of old firm supporters are capable of be it Burns, Cooper, Doyle or whoever, the graffiti displayed an Tynecastle was carried out by an organisation affiliated with a Celtic supporters group who wield a lot of influence within their club and who continue to carry out outrageous and disgusting acts and behaviour without the Celtic board seemingly caring or able to tackle.

    I don't think the same idiot who believed BPH had £50m to invest at the drop of a hat has now had an epiphany and moved from position of Ashley is the saviour to he might just do the decent thing.... I think the real answer settles with mentally Bill being a sad case who has swallowed a whole load of Jack's spin and now (if he ever had any) has no sense of what the actual fuck is going on around him much less to the team he supposedly supports.

    I don't trust the board to select anyone other than a yes man but that 'yes man' will undoubtedly have a better management pedigree than McCoist. We really couldn't do any worse than we already are even if we let someone on day release from Carstairs select the team, formation and motivational techniques.

    Even if I was attending games I couldn't find it in my heart to offer these overpaid jokers an ounce of respect nevermind support. A widespread cull needed on and off the pitch.

    Like Frankie says it is hard to quantify but at least in those circumstances we were playing against full time professionals who weren't suffering badly through illness / injuries and had players turning up late whilst two of them headed off for a night shift after dumping us out the cup. I've witnessed some deplorable nights in Europe but never been as disheartened as I have after last night. Edit: Meant to quote Ser Barristan Selmy there.

    Alloa were missing 9 senior players due to illness and injuries, some of their players were late in turning up due to work and traffic. Leading by two goals (despite how poorly we had played) with 25 minutes left and we go on to lose the game to a bunch of part timers. Add the fact that Macleod pulled out of the warm up but McCoist elected to play him just rubs salt into the wound (McCoist should be made to explain this decision).... all in all it all adds up to the most humiliating game in our history IMO. I'd love to wrap up the post by offering a soundbite that "at least it can't get any worse" but I'd be fibbing.

    People are saying he should do the decent thing and resign before it's too late and his memory is tarnished forever, for me it's already too late. I will never be able to hear his name or see it written in print without cringing at how unbelievably shit and deluded his time as manager of our club was and will continue to be, I already need to search deep to remember the goals he scored that helped make my childhood a happy one. We need someone in who has fresh ideas and a hunger to succeed. McCoist is comfortable with his inflated salary and a wee blether with the players in training. He has to go but we cannot afford to push him out and even if we somehow did find the finances to do so we'd be left with the horror show and dread over who this shower of shysters will bring in. Never been so depressed about our club than I've been right now. *sigh*

    Legalised theft. And yet there will still be some Rangers fans bellied at the billionaire who has bought a few shares and tapped us some pocket change to ensure his onerous contracts aren't ripped up when the house of cards comes crashing down, nothing will make them see sense on this and rid their minds that Ashley wants nothing more with us than to squeeze every last penny he can from the fan base. I'd despair but I'm pretty much at the point now of not caring whenever a piece of bombshell news hits us and lays out how well and truly fucked and sewing up we are by are a shower of predatory bastards. They'll never make a single penny from me, I'd much rather we faced the consequences if everyone felt the same rather than limping on and hoping these bloodsucking leeches will eventually tire of ripping us off - they wont, they'll never tire of it as making money (especially easy money) to them is as important as the air we breathe is to the rest of us.
