  1. 10 million pounds fine? What is the point? That's close to 4 players monthly salary for them
  2. Always will be Rangers for me. I like the fact that we are one of a small number of clubs in the UK (and indeed the world) that has no geographical reference in our name.
  3. Agree completely about the 5 stars removal. The RFC monogram is one of the best in the sporting world (along with The Barbarians and Flamengo). It doesn't need an add on
  4. As someone who has previously worked as a graphic designer, I think this a marked improvement. For a start, RANGERS is centred and above the lion instead if starting from round on the left side. That's done my head in for ages. The lion is also cleaner and more defined. Possibly could put Estd. 1872 in the spaces either side of the lion?? Next request...lose the stars from the classic RFC monogram. Call me a purist but I prefer it on its own to be honest.
  5. Is this based on real experience? The last 3 EPL I've attended (Anfield, St.James Park, Selhurst Park) had a brilliant atmosphere
  6. Random post alert but I was trawling through some old Rangers footage on You Tube and ended up going down a bit of a Dick Advocaat era rabbit hole. Over 20 years on and I consider this the best Rangers team I have seen. With the benefit of You Tube, it's easy to see why but at the same time it's easy to forget how bloody strong our squad was back then. The roster for those two seasons was frightening. Goalkeepers Charbonier Klos Neimi Defenders Amaruso Hendry Porrini Moore Vidmar Numan Adamczuk Midfielders Albertz Ferguson B. Reyna Van Bronkhurst Tugay McCann Kanchelskis Forwards Wallace Amato Mols Guivarche Dodds Johansson Rozenthal My memory is ropey at the best of times so can anyone remember why Numan played so few games in the 98-99 season? I do seem to recall one injury?
  7. Having missed a lot of games recently, wtf is going on with Morelos? In the few games I've seen him play since the break, he looks overweight and disinterested. Has he improved at all?
  8. I agree 100%. I just expected them to be out of sight regardless of what could happen in our favour in the OF games. I suppose the optimist in me thinks, there is a good team there and hopefully some sort of confidence can return? We were flying before Christmas and looked solid all over the park. It's just baffling that so many things have unravelled so quickly. Regardless of what happens in the title, hopefully the chance of beating them on Sunday can provide a spark of confidence for the remainder of the season?
  9. Due to some personal stuff and a heavy workload, I've fortunately not been able to witness too many of our recent games (apart from Braga away). I've not even looked at the table in ages tbh but I was somewhat surprised to see that we are 13 pts behind with a game in hand (potentially 10 pts). If we manage to beat them next week it's down to a possible 7pts and we still have to play them (potentially 4pts). As I said, I've been out of loop and fully expected a larger gap (prior to the OF games). Ok I'm clutching a big, big straws but on paper we still have the chance to get this down to 4pts. How is that even possible considering the amount of points we have dropped?
  10. I'm sure there's more to it than that. He's come back after the winter break about a stone overweight IMO. He's been awful since the start of 2020
  11. Hopefully kick starts Morelos to. I think the real Morelos is still in Colombia and an imposter returned after the winter break. Well done Rangers. We could have easily let our heads drop after their 2nd but now we have a fighting chance to progress
  12. Was it just me or did it look like Alfie was carrying a wee bit on timber on Sunday?
  13. Morelos has gone from a player who could potentially reach a fee of 30 million to a player who looks like he cost us 30 bob. His decision making today was woeful
  14. We are playing like a team that knows the league is over. Very depressing indeed
  15. Braga beat Benfica today 1-0 away at the Stadium of Light. They seem to be hitting decent form just as ours has dipped. It's going to be tough old tie me thinks
  16. That is embarrassing but it was always going to happen while we were demoted and hamstrung. Who cares about them? Don't read the press if it happens. It's that simple. Let's show testicular fortitude and stick to what WE are doing. If we focus solely on stopping them winning an utterly meaningless record, I truly wonder what the point of our club is.
  17. Our defence also relies on the guys in front of them and for me much of that solidity came from Kamara, Davis and Jack. I know he has scored some goals of late but we won't win anything with Scott Arfield in central midfield
  18. What a myopic outlook. Who genuinely cares about this 10 in a row nonsense? They won more than half of those league titles while we were away from the league or were in utter turmoil. Bringing in a manager for a short term fix to simply to stop them is crazy and could do more damage long term IMO. That's old Rangers thinking and it's tired. SG is building something tangible. Has he made mistakes? Of course he has and I'm sure he would be the first person to admit that but let's stay strong and remember what he's done. You mention the last 32 in europe as if it's nothing. People really have short memories. It's just over 2 years since the club's lowest point in European football and we now we have a team that can compete in a European competition and doesn't look out of place. That's a huge step forward
  19. I think it's hard to be fair. We're damned if we do, damned if we don't. We have a decent first XI but we have a lot of squad players that are exactly just that, squad players. Guys like Jones are not going to win us the league but what do we do? Spend money we don't have for expensive back up players? I'm sure SG was hoping the fringe players would press more for starting places but it's not materialised. I feel sorry for Stewart tbh. I thought he looked like he could offer something different between midfield and attack. Jones I do not rate at all. Looks happy enough just to be at Rangers IMO. I also question the judgement of throwing in Hagi into the team at this point of the season. I'm excited he is here but now we are looking for him to change games after 10 minutes in the country. I may get pelters but I would persevere with Kamara, Davis and Jack in the middle. It was working for us and helped us control games but I feel we've lost that dominance now.
  20. Agreed. Simply trying to look ahead and try to see a positive. Last night was utterly depressing as I genuinely thought we'd put ourselves in the box seat after the OF game. Oh well, it must true what they say...it's the hope that kills you
  21. Agreed. My only hope is that the games prior to that game seem somewhat kinder to us (on paper). Hopefully Aberdeen or Livi can do us a favour and even come up with a draw? Draws are as good as defeats in tight race I'm clutching tbh...
  22. Hopefully the forthcoming Braga games can provide a much needed distraction and confidence boost for the rest of the season? With regards to the league, I suppose we are realistically looking at winning our game in hand and then we need to beat them at Home to reduce the lead to 4pts. On top of that we are looking for them to drop points somewhere. They have Abrrdeen away and Livingston away prior to meeting us. Thats the only games I could see them having any problems with. It's a big ask
