  1. Not sure about the ages but I coach 8/9 year olds for a school team and it's mixed. Not sure how it works elsewhere tbh
  2. Agreed. I still don't understand it though. Just feel sorry for the England lads that will be tarred with the same brush
  3. I know Women's football is not to everyone tastes but I must admit I'm quite excited about the forthcoming World Cup in France. It'll be interesting to see how Scotland do in their first World Cup tournie. They played England at the Euros in 2017 and lost 6-0 but back then they had 3/4 key players out with injury. Hopefully they can run them a bit closer this time. I do a bit of coaching with mixed groups and all the girls are buzzing about the forthcoming World Cup which is nice to see. Good luck Scotland!
  4. I just don't get it. I would kill for a few days of football watching, a few beers and some nice grub in lovely city like Porto. I have an English mate who used to follow England a lot and then he got up in all the nonsense in France at the Euros (Nice I think?) and he's done with it. Football tournies like this should be celebration not an excuse to vocalise some warped and ignorant display of English identity. It's baffling
  5. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/jun/05/england-fans-baton-charged-portugese-police-nations-league-porto I was just reading about this earlier (missed the game last night). What goes through these morons heads? Not much obviously. I genuinely feel sorry for the real England fans that just want to follow their team without having to be caught up with these idiots. I thought after Russia, things may have changed but it seems that these muppets just didn't find the means to get there. Behaving like this on the 5th June as well. They should be bloody embarrassed and banned from travelling for life
  6. Oxford at Ibrox? Seems a strange one tbh
  7. I agree but it's about balancing out what we have and what we need to get the next level. Tav would be a loss but if it means we can hopefully improve other areas of the team, that loss would be worth it IMO.
  8. Maybe but €10 million could potentially give us a chance of getting a decent number 10 or creative midfielder. Tav would be a miss but some decent acquisitions in those areas would make the difference IMO.
  9. Have you seen the videos of Polster? He looks very dynamic and likes to get forward. We also have Flanagan, who is actually a RB (I think?)
  10. Still don't think that means they will spend money wrecklessly. They have to be sensible as they are probably part of a group of 4/5 teams for the drop. Tav costs us £200,000? If we could get £10 million it would be a great return. If we sell Tave and Alfie for a combined £25 million (approx.), that would give us funds for a striker, creative midfielder and maybe another CB and would leave us with money in the bank. That's good business IMO. I've said it before but Defoe signed an 18 month contract for a reason and we drafted in Polster (dynamic right sided player who can play RB or midfield) to cover the possibility of our 2 most sellable assets leaving the club.
  11. Mmm...not sure Rousseau. If we can anywhere near 9/10 million for Tav, I would take it in a heart beat.
  12. If the fee is similar to Huttons many moons ago then take it. This is why Polster was drafted in IMO. We also have Flanagan who could at RB.
  13. Without our black and red socks were are just another team wearing blue with white shorts
  14. On players who improved... Filip Sebo arrived as a truly woeful player and ended up as just garbage. Does that count?
  15. Let's face it, we could count the number of good CL finals in one hand. They are generally very underwhelming. I thought Liverpool showed how much they have progressed last night. It was less heavy metal football, more very good game management IMO. Finals are all about who picks up the trophy at the end of the game. Just a wee quiz question after last night... What do all Liverpool's Champions Cup/League wins have in common? 1977 - Borussia Monchengladbach 1978 - Club Brugge 1981 - Real Madrid 1984 - AS Roma 2005 - Milan 2019 - Tottenham Hotspur
  16. Agree Gonzo. It's Rangers. There is no prefix. Stuff like this annoys me. It's up there with us not wearing our black and red socks or us wearing blue shorts (wtf). While I'm at it, there should never be red in our home shirt. Should always be just be blue with white detailing. Red was first introduced into our home shirt in 1978-79 after over 100 years without it being used #pedanticloyal
  17. It looked like the temperature and a 3 week break put paid to high intensity game.
  18. After what's happened in previous rounds everyone (including me for a while) seems to think Spurs name is on the cup. If Liverpool click, I can genuinely see them battering Spurs tbh. (Much like Chelsea did to Arsenal in the Europa final). Those Liverpool players will really want to make up for last season IMO. I want Liverpool to win mainly for Klopp. He seems a decent guy and it would be criminal for him and his brand if football not to win big honours.
  19. Is Ashley not on the verge of selling to wealthy foreign investors? (Cousins of Man City owners?)
  20. I heard that Law wanted to hammer them to get his revenge for the 9-3 game in 1961
  21. I keep seeing that he has been "offered" the job. Has he accepted yet?
  22. Good luck to them. Would rather St Mirren stay up. United should reap what they have sown for a few years yet
