I've seen a lot posts fearing that Clemente may be another Le Guen in the making but I'm not so sure. For example, Le Guen won 2/3 titles in France but was the heavy lifting and ground work not essentially done by Jaques Santini in the preceeding years? Granted, Le Guen still had to win the titles but from what I can gather from Clemente, he's had a significant impact on 3 Belgian clubs based on what he's introduced to the club. Only time will tell.

I also want to see significant change in the style of the team and the overall desire/attitude of the players. If those things improve, the two things you have listed will take care of themselves IMO.

I hear you but I think we need context. They've all come into a highly dysfunctional team with a manager who was making it up as he went along. I'll reserve my overall judgement until I see them in a functional team with a manager with a plan. Even Dessers.

Said as much in an earlier comment regarding Muscat. Celtic utilised timing of contracts and the end of the Japanese season with Hatate and Maeda. There a lot of South Americans playing in Japan also. For example, the key player in Muscats current team (Yokohama F. Marinos) is a Brazilian striker (Anderson Lopes). He is one of 3 Brazilians in the squad. Their league is miles ahead of ours in quality IMO.

Rumblings now that Muscat is an outsider and Clemente and Jansen are still very much in the frame.

The league race maybe over before December 5th but your concerns are valid. I share those concerns but I think we would regret not getting him. The rise of Ange in the EPL will only cast the spotlight further on Muscat IMO and someone will grab him in England. Knowledge of this market could be a game changer IMO.

Check the Rangers Review podcast on You Tube. They are doing separate videos on potential managers linked. They are also doing one with Thomas Buffel talking about Clement. Derek Clark on there can be rather annoying but the other guys are very astute IMO. (Joshua Barrie, Adam Thornton, Stevie Clifford etc.) Not sure if I'm allowed to post direct links to rival podcasts?

I think Muscat is worth waiting for tbh. I was already keen on him but after listening to a podcast with a Japanese football expert I'm 100% sold. He sounds like the perfect antidote to aimless and passionless rubbish we've had to endure. I also get the feeling that if we don't get him, someone else will.

Sam Allardyce sets teams up to not lose games of football. Rangers need to win. Please remind me of what big Sam has won in his career? He is a dinosaur and the idea that he is the answer to our problems is beyond bewildering.
